Police State Perry - 10% of Texans Have Active Arrest Warrants

A couple of weeks ago, the local paper printed names of El Pasoans with outstanding arrest warrants. 78,000 El Pasoans made the paper! When we compared Austin, same story: 11% of Austin has outstanding arrest warrants. How did that happen? Here are the facts.

A couple of weeks ago, the local paper printed names of El Pasoans with outstanding arrest warrants. 78,000 El Pasoans made the paper! What’s going on here?

Here are the facts. Of the 78,000 almost all are for moving violations. In fact, most are violations of the Texas Driver Responsibility Act of 2003. Here’s a breakdown by category of violation:

Is THIS Why?

Is this why Perry wanted so bad to gouge out good farmland through "eminent domain" for Trans Texas Corridor? The more establishment concrete, the more "law" enforcement the better for Perry, it seems. It's all about power, control, isn't it Gov Perry?
No wonder he goes to Bilderberg meetings

This Reminds Me

This reminds me of quotes from Rand's Senate campaign in Kentucky:
"Aim is not to pass bills, but repeal them."
"Seat-belt and anti-smoking laws are nanny-state paternalism."
"Voluntary rather than mandatory accomodation of people with disabilities."

“The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.”

– Thomas Jefferson

This should be a campaign issue

This should be a campaign issue. The abuse of citizens is so egregious that this needs to be front and center.

Rick Perry can claim he cut taxes but raised revenues via a police state extortion racket.

How many citizens out there are feeling lucky? Elect Perry and find out!

Rick Perry's way of creating

Rick Perry's way of creating jobs - he sends them to a chain gang.

WOW!

I knew police state mentality was getting bad, but shapleigh's article really highlights the problem. And in Texas of all places. Those folks have come a long way (down) since the days of Travis, Bowie and Houston!

So in Texas

they raised the fines for common traffic violations so that

Theoretically, after three tickets, a driver can owe $3,000 and more, depending on the offense.

And if you can’t pay, you go to jail.

And that is exactly what happened. Nearly one in ten Texans can’t pay: students, single mothers, working families, essentially low and even middle income Texans whose income can’t keep up with gas, insurance, taxes and tickets too.

UNBELIEVABLE! Ten percent of Texans have arrest warrants for simple traffic violations? Like, if you are very poor and get caught not using your turn signal a few times, and can't pay the fine, you go to JAIL? Wow, that is HUGE.

Black hat man: "Gimme the deed to your ranch, or I'll tie you...

... to the railroad tracks!"

And then... a train started a coming...

And then...
