Did you see the reaction...

Did you see the reaction to the Israel has 300 nukes comment? I about peed myself. After all, Israel doesn't have any nukes officially, even though everyone knows they got em.

CAVUTO did us a favor---

Because this helps "rehearse" Ron Paul prior to another debate. It was a good question. It was a fair question that the RINO Republicans would want an answer to.

RON PAUL's answer was nothing short of BRILLIANT.

I mean, did any of us know what Nikita Khrushchev said about wanting to "bury us"? I mean, this is great, and this is what makes RON PAUL head and shoulders above the rest, HEAD & SHOULDERS!

We will bury you

It was before my time but I remember the news, politicians and my teacher quoting Krushchev(Spelling?) when I was in 1st grade. '63 We did the "duck and cover" drill about once every few weeks. Left an impression, as you can tell.
Lot of fear we'd be nuked any day back then.
Which is exactly what Dr. Paul was relating. And did so, brilliantly, I could not agree more!

Ron is wrong on energy research and development.

He thinks that we should let the "free market" decide the future in energy.

There is no "free market" in energy. As long as the government is subsidizing oil use and effectively blocking the use of nuclear energy through regulation and licensing, there can be no "free market" in energy production.

Included in the oil "subsidy" are our military intrusions into the Middle East and billions of dollars of foreign aid used to politically stabilize the oil producing areas of the world.

No, the least he could do is admit that we don't have a free market in energy and that until we do, the government will remain responsible for "picking winners".

******************************
The Virtual Conspiracy

No, because he's against oil subsidies too

Ron Paul's principal is to rid us if all subsidies, government shouldn't pick winners and losers in any industry or else oligarchs determine the course of technological development, opposed to the people determining this coveted future through the forces of the free market.

Ron Paul's lassiez faire approach only works when you're a purist and are principaled and fortunately Ron Paul is certainly both of those.

Cheney is the posterchild

for the ever growing military industrial complex.

of course Dr. Paul's foreign policy is exactly opposite of cheney's! and Dr Paul is a threat to Cheney and the like.

Cheney belongs in a prison cell.

This to me is just sick..How many countries have warrants for Cheney's arrest ? Just not here in the U.S. ?

Just one last kick in the nuts, then a final deathblow

Well done

Dr Ron Paul you are slamming them all for six whatever they throw at you which isnt so hard when truth is your best shot.Thank you for opening the eyes of the sheep in America and the world. It isnt quite as easy here in Australia as we are an unarmed country(or maybe thats a good thing ?)but when America sez jump our democratic dictaters say how high sir.Sincerily hope you are elected President but as you already know you will need the best security that has ever been.keep your eye on the ball and watch out for the googly.Good luck and best whishes from me and my fellow travellers,Barry

What's the best way to answer a predictable question?

The normally warm affable Cavuto trailed off into hesitancy and doubt regarding the Iranian Nuke question. Infected by the same Trojan Horse Viral Program pumped by the Mass Media into the Collective Unconscious Cavuto did us the favor of articulating one of the dozen or so questions all unthinking Americans can be expected to spout off in response to our enthusiasm for Ron Paul. What is the quickest and most effective way for us - not just Ron Paul - to answer this question? As predictable as a ball that is going to come over home plate at precisely the same place every time, the question goes: "The argument that Iran is nuttier [than any of the previous threats the warmongers scared the gullible American Public with]...and might be very intent on destroying a lot of Iranians for killing a lot of Americans. You don't want to be wrong. You don't want to be wrong on that one." That of course is the same kind of fear mongering logic used to justify Preemptive wars against six other countries. That is the same kind of scare tactic used to trick Americans to compromise their own moral integrity repeatedly in the past. The more important question is since when does the United States advocate Preemptive Wars to avoid the possibility of Future Threats? Since when did the American people decide to become Policemen of the World? How many times are Americans going to be suckered into compromising their Integrity, the Constitution, and the Principle of Liberty and Peaceful Trade as our unique contribution to the welfare of the world? Since when did Americans - many of whom consider themselves Christian - throw Just War Theory - which all six of our wars violate - out the window? I do not know if this is the best response, but we know the question is coming again, and again. The response needs to be made confidently and quickly, no stumbling, no doubt allowed. We speak for Peace. We speak for Liberty. We speak for RON PAUL!

Disagree about Cavuto

I think people are misreading Cavuto here - he was playing devil's advocate and getting Ron to expand on his usual sound bite (yes virginia, he uses them too from time to time) about Iran/nukes. Neil can't just love on Ron all of the time.

They are important questions, because if he's to win the nomination it will surely be brought up by the media hawks frequently vs. Obama. As long as Cheney is kept alive by all of his machines, he'll yap about it and make headlines, for instance. The best answer is for Ron to say that he disagrees entirely with the premise of the question, which is that we can continue to be the policemen of the world (financially, for one, and pragmatically, after our boondoggles in Iraq & Afghanistan). All of the other points he makes (1 Iranian nuke vs. 30k Soviet nukes, Iran isn't suicidal, Iran isn't even close to a nuke, etc.) can then be used to deconstruct the notion that Iran is a major problem right now even if we could continue to be the policemen of the world.

Blessed are the peacemakers, but elected are the war hawks.

Exactly Right

We all know Neal loves the guy.
And he knows where Dr. Paul stands on just about every issue by now. Doubt he's taken aback by any answer he gets from the Congressman.
But he needs to ask the tough questions because Dr. Paul's answers need to get publicly heard, main stream public, I should say.
Cavuto is doing him a service by not "kid gloving" him.
My couple-a-cents
Less inflation, of course!

Cavuto is great

It irks me that so many supporters get bent out of shape when a journalist "disagrees" with Paul. Cavuto is always fair to him, he always has him on and he even talks him up the majority of the time. Cavuto should be held right there with the Judge, Stossel and Stewart. They might not be of the same ideologies per-say, but they treat Paul well. I think we've been so blindsided by the media in the past and despise them so much that we are quick to judge every single reporter in the same fashion.

I'd rather see him questioned and drilled than receive a cake walk. It prepares him for unfair journalists.

"A true competitor wants their opponent at their best." Lao Tzu

Cavuto is only slightly more decent than other media punks

I've seen him often wrongly criticize Ron Paul, and if you watch him closely you will see he has a bad attitude towards Ron Paul, he's just better than most at hiding it.

Comparing Cavuto with Judge Napalitano and John Stossel is just wrong. He is nowhere near as intellectually honest and fair as these two. Jon Stewart is similar to Cavuto, only he expresses his bias comically, so it's even less obvious.

Did you notice, as soon as Dr Paul mentioned

Israel, Cavuto coward down and started mumbling his words? We have got to make the GOP voters aware, our soldiers lives and our money spent on these wars, are not to protect America, but to protect Israel. Anybody, who argues the 'war on terror' is for protecting America, remind them that's a complete lie. Why, because 10 yrs after the 9/11 tragedy, our borders are still not secure. If they were really trying to protect us, wouldn't the #1 thing be protecting the borders? Why would an alleged terrorist try to fly in the US where they are being watched? They can easily fly into Mexico, buy weaponry from the cartels, or rogue military, and cross the border and attack a nuke plant, a mall, sporting event or whatever. If Mexicans and Central Americans can make it, then Middle Easterners can do it too! Another, comment to bring up is, why would terrorists fight our far superior military, when they can do the above mentioned scenario, without confrontation? The premise we are fighting terrorists in these wars is oxymoronic.

I could be mistaken...

but weren't we told that if Kim jung ill got a nuke in North Korea that it would be the end of the world as we know it?

And didn't kim jung ill execute North Korea's first test of a nuclear weapon....while we were in Iraq looking for nukes that Cheney told us were definately there that as it turns out were NOT there?

Am I crazy?

Dr. Paul Should Mention - Hey, What About North Korea?

RonzdaMan, I agree with what you mentioned about North Korea.

Congressman Paul should consider responding to questions from Senator Santorum et el. about their worry that Iran might produce a nuke by stating the counterpoint that North Korea HAS nukes and has threatened and attacked South Korea repeatedly and been accused of sinking one of their naval vessels! So why aren't you RINO's concerned more about crazy Kim Jong-il since he is obviously more unstable than Iran's leadership, huh??

The RINO's are afraid to bring up North Korea because then they would have to deal with the China issue.

It's obvious the Congress continues to act as the stealth protectorate of Israel and kowtow to their AIPAC masters. That's the real reason they continue to bully Iran.

ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT

Anyone else notice that? It seems that FOX pulls out all the stops when Dr. Paul is on. Could that have been anything but a psychological ploy, like back when i was in grade school and they tried to get us real scared of them commie Russkis bombing us into smithereens, by blaring air sirens and making us "duck and cover" under our desks...? *Sheesh*

Once again, Dr. Paul knocks it out of the park.

The MEDIA is in a TIZZY, and the RINOS are on the run...why?

The NIGHTTIME MEDIA is in a tizzy. The DAYTIME MEDIA is changing and less hostil towards Dr. Paul. The RINOS are getting REALLY DESPERATE over these debates, but they can't kick Ron Paul out. He is a seasoned REPUBLICAN. To do so would make them really, really look BAD.

Things are getting really OUT OF HAND for the RINOS and the debates.

What they don't realize....yet....is that the TV AUDIENCE is starting to really notice how the Media is picking on Ron Paul in a big-time way over the other candidates. And, even THOSE candidates are starting to fight amongst each other and bringing out things that Ron Paul didn't even have to bring up.

We are winnning the PUBLIC. Given a fair election, we will win the masses.

Cavuto...aahh...ok in my book most days...

I enjoy listening to RP answering some RELEVANT questions, albeit maybe unpopular ones. Cavuto gave RP his time to answer and explain. That's what RP needs, just a little time. Cavuto also played some devil's advocate which I think RP needs more of. This allows him to expound on his views.

Just another day

at the office for Dr. Ronald Ernest Paul.

Cheney and 9/11

Cheney is pure evil. The stand down order speaks for itself.
The 9/11 Commission has rejected its own report, and there is a growing list of politicos and high profile intelligence people calling for a new investigation.

The lies about NORAD, the lie by Ted Olsen that he got a call from his spouse Barbara when the FBI stated otherwise (they said she tried but didn’t get through – purportedly the only outgoing call from flight 77), the advance warning given to politicians not to fly that day and others in the towers, the telecast by BBC of Building 7’s implosion 20 minutes before it happened and so many other clues including the five dancing Israelis caught video taping the attacks all point to a massive coverup by the 9/11 Commission. Nineteen Muslims who could barely fly could not have pulled off the attacks.

This is a lengthy post, but it is important for people to know that 9/11 families and 1500 architects and engineers are calling for a new investigation.

While the interview seemed

While the interview seemed set up as a somewhat Gotcha ambush, it actually served in Ron Pauls favor. Ron Paul was able to answer and make sense out of all the questions and his position on them. He articulated reasonable answers that showed his positions are logical and highlighted the propaganda that is convincing everyone into a hysteria about one country with little potential to build a weapon or launch an attack while many unstable countries, like Pakistan, have nukes.

It is..

Cavuto's normal style to play both the pro and con sides of an issue when interviewing. I'm ok with that. He didn't include the normal innuendo and snideness that is usually present if one of Ron Paul's true opponents was challenging him.

Ron Paul needs practice answering this question anyways so it's all good... :)

What an honor Dick Chaney Bestowed up Ron Paul

The way I see it, Dick Chaney gave Dr.Paul the greatest complement ever. If Dick Chaney doesn't like him, you know he has to be an honorable man. If you ever find yourself in an moral dilemma ask yourself this "What would Dick (head) Chaney do?" Whatever conclusion you arrive at, do the complete opposite and you have done the moral thing.

This could be a selling point for anyone not a Cheney fan

Ron Paul makes Dick Cheney blanch lol Dick Cheney makes a lot of people blanch.

I didnt like this

I liked Ron Paul in this Video but Cavuto this time seemed alot more like the rest of the "media"

Sure...

but it's Cavuto's normal style to play both sides of an issue. Which I like in an interviewer. And Cavuto's "devil advocate" questions are usually questions the interviewee needs practice answering anyway.

Cavuto first let Ron Paul give his stance uninterrupted then challenged him with the "common myth" criticism sans innuendo and snideness. I'm ok with that...

CIA - Understanding the motivation

To add to my previous comment....The ex-CIA Bin Laden Unit Chief, speaks on Blowback, and speaks in harmony to Ron Paul's view on foreign policy.

Ron Paul on Iran is Right On

We should not start hostilities with Iran over a POTENTIAL nuclear weapon. The CIA site does identify Iran's desire to have a nuclear energy facility...NOT a weapon. If this is true, imagine the hatred developed in Iran towards us, if the US blocks and makes difficult their desire to build an energy plant...based on our premise it was a weapon...this is what Ron Paul has referred to as blowback.

As Ron Paul has suggested, Iran can't even supply itself gasoline. Even the leftist democratic SF Chronicle supports Paul's view on Iran.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2011/08/12/...

Further if we want to reduce blowback and spending on war which is bankrupting our country. Irag and Afghanistan cost every American 500 dollars a week..not to mention the lives of our soldiers and the hatred from countries that could possibly be trading partners. We should not be hostile with Iran.

I am astonished by some American's ignorance in wanting to pursue war...they must not fully consider the costs...or perhaps they just follow self destructive behavior.
