Health Care Mandate Ruled Unconstitutional!

"What Congress cannot mandate is that individuals enter into contracts with private insurance companies for the purchase of an expensive product from the time they are born until the time they die."

Why should I buy insurance I

Why should I buy insurance I won't ever need?

On the other hand, I do have a passport, and whether I will use it depends on the Supreme Court's decision.

Make everyone buy it

Make everyone buy except for Congress they dont have to. even though they make us.

Mandate Congress to buy their rubbish... supposed health care!

Irish Pirate: The "Ayes" have it. [Slam down gavel.] Motion carries. Congressional health care is replaced by "Mr O'Care. Congress is mandated to pay for their own messes, here on out! We the People are free."

[All pirate crew take last sip of Irish Whiskey. Leave English barkeep to clean up the slightly tussled English Pub in the Jamaica, Port Antonio... Walk over to the Church. Receive blessing. Head back to ship.]

Tis me luck to be Irish. Port Antonio tis a fine Jamaica village. America's trouble be over soon as they come to thar senses. The good Lord willing, they will. We got to be sailing. Rum & other medicines to deliver. We sail for Dublin! Ah, me home.

[Board ship.]

Pull anchor, mate... up the American coast... Then to Dublin.

Don't count unhatched chickens.

One appellate court ruled in favor of Obamacare; now another one has ruled against it. The issue won't be settled until the Supreme Court issues a ruling. Which they won't do until after the election. (Sigh.)

...in order to form a more perfect Union [& mandate health care]

Secretary of State, Misses C, shall under Executive-Order proclam:

  • "We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union [and mandate Health Care]..."
    - Amended "Preamble to the Constitution," 2011
  • This Constitutional amendment is "Deemed as Passed."

Philander Knox, Secretary of State under President Wilson, proclaimed "Deem as Passed" Constitutional Amendments 16 (Income Tax) & 17 (Direct Senate Election), 1913. They were deemed into existence despite state houses being on recess, submitting conflicting amendments, etc.

Mr Knox will be obsequiously honored by following his "Deemed as Passed" unconstitutional Amendment protocol. Imitation of an imitation is the most sincere from of imitation... near as Misses C imitates Mr Knox.

This Constitutional Amendment is void where prohibited by law. No warranty imitated nor implied. This amendment is to be prominently & conspicuously tacked to entrances including, but not limited to: taverns; tattoo shops; pool halls; & cabarets.

In a bad economy, let's make everyone buy overprice insurance

That's Obamacare?

I'm sorry, but I just can't believe that the Democrats told a bunch of unemployed people that their big health care plan is to make them pay for overpriced insurance that they could never afford.

I thought Obamacare was having the tax payers pay for all healthcare costs...like Medicare.

When I read Obamacare literature, I can't make heads or tails out of it. It just says it will reduce the cost of healthcare. Well, that would be nice, but does it actually say that people HAVE to buy healthcare insurance...does it actually say that healthcare will be like schools and social security?

Someone spell it out.

Yes, liberals think the reason people don't have insurance

is because no one is holding a gun to their head with a finger on the trigger making them buy it.

They claim costs will be lowered because with more people insured there is a larger pool of money to pay for it. (that won't lower costs in absolute terms) What it does is lessen the amount the GOVERNMENT has to pay via Medicare/caid. Of course, the actual costs of CARE will skyrocket.
(liberals can't tell the difference between actual care and one mechanism to pay for it - aka insurance)

Yes, they took 2000+ pages to essentially point a gun at your head. That's how they approach EVERY problem - simply FORCE people to act a certain way - problem solved.

They need to repeal THE WHOLE

They need to repeal THE WHOLE THING. Now any credit card company is sending out 1099 for every credit card transaction to a business. This really sux. There is a lot in there that has nothing to do with insurance. INCLUDING section 203 that sets up a whole new military dept. to police US.

This was repealed.

(the 1099 provision)

The 1099 mandate was repealed from supposed health care.

The balance of the 2,000 page Care package is still lethal if dropped from above.

Good Find - Here's What I'm Looking For

I'm not sure, because ignorance of the law is an excellent excuse, but I think the state of CA may have made carbon monoxide detectors mandatory.

I would love a court decision that says my state can't mandate that I buy one "because I exist" as this decision did. Carbon monoxide detectors are no different than insurance policies, and I think this should be between me and my insurance company, not me and the state.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Received this about Carbon Monoxide

Q 2. Is there a new California law dealing with the issue of carbon monoxide poisoning?

A Yes. The Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Act of 2010 (Cal. Health & Safety Code §§ 13260 et seq.) was signed into law this year. It requires carbon monoxide detectors to be installed in every “dwelling unit intended for human occupancy.” The California legislature also modified both the TDS (for residential one-to-four unit real property) and MHTDS (for manufactured homes and mobilehomes) to include a reference to carbon monoxide detector devices. See below for more details.

Just one more in a long long

Just one more in a long long list of reasons to leave California.

All states are enjoying their croony capitalism

in one form or another. What the average (you and I) might be able to do is to investigate. Follow the money. This Solar company fiasco in the news is one example and if pursued properly it may bring down Obombya. Bribes have been part of "government" since the beginning of time. It is just that now its time to start hanging them for their oppression of the people. "Let them eat cake." We'll see...and here I thought Nixon was awful. It is time to drive the money lenders (lobbyist) out of the temple (government).
