NCEL lawsuit--Iowa Voting
Submitted by Crickett on Fri, 12/28/2007 - 12:36
Tho not yet posted on the Pacer site, today at 8:30am Eastern, the injunction was filed to delay the Iowa voting until the suit is settled. Also an answer to the State's motions to dismiss was submitted, showing that since there are plainitffs from every state involved, the suit has no jurisdictional reasons for the States' Motions of Dismissal to be granted. I will be glad to answer questions, if any, regarding this.
Thanks.

The is not a class action suit...
We are representing ourselves pro se. Its better to look at it as 151 separate lawsuits filed against the uS. The court is just addressing them all at the same time as it it were one big lawsuit. And believe it or not, the court is taking us very seriously. I urge you all to read the complaint. We are standing on some pretty sturdy ground. Time is our biggest enemy right now.
What now?
Nice work on the injunction!
What is the next phase? Can we help? Must have info...! :)

Good luck
Getting ANY Court to grant this motion... With EVERY Candidate primed to go and NO MEDIA REPORTING ON EVEN THE FILING OF THIS..
This will go no where...
Sorry.. hope it does but FAT chance..
Let me ask this... have ANY national candidate joined in with this lawsuit?
Whether it will go anywhere
Whether it will go anywhere in our supposedly unbiased court system is a moot point. There are 150 plaintiff's on the suit, it is basically a class action, and we just put in an injunction to stop elections until it is addressed.
Thanx! That's great news and
Thanx! That's great news and very welcome. Keep us all posted!
First of all Iowa doesn't have primary
but caucus.
they also use paper ballots,
they also use paper ballots, not machines (at least for the caucus)
I can post the entire
I can post the entire injunction if you wish, and it will fit. The suit specifically requests an injunction for all (even) paper ballots to be counted in public and certified by each voting area and safeguarded and recertified by the state (with copies kept) before transmitting to a National counting point). I am not a lawyer..just trying to give you the news. The Motion to quash the motions to dismiss is even longer..I have them all.
Oh ye of Decrier of
Oh ye of Decrier of Incorrect Semantics..SORRY..I changed it. Anyway, the message is the same. the Injunction to delay it has been filed.
