Rick Perry as Barabbas

I for one find the mainstream Evangelical movement to be so far removed from the message of Christ, that one is compelled to wonder; what exactly is it that they believe?
The Bible is chocked full of wonderful story's, parables, and metaphor's, like Es-op's fables, to break down complex ideas where even the most intellectually weak can comprehend.

The most relevant story in relationship between the GOP,it's rank and file, the MSM, the evangelical movement, and Ron Paul, is the story of Barabbas.

When presented with a choice of clemency by Pontius Pilate, of either Barabbas, a known huckster, famous for chicanery, and corruption, or Christ, who represented the truth and the light.
The people spoke, "with one voice" and cried for the pardon of Barabbas.

This story is designed to help the faithful understand that the people, en mass, will always choose Barabbas.

So, it is my suggestion that a large part of the GOP rank and file who claim they are Christian, have rejected the message of Christ, and have fallen into some quasi Zion worshiping, John Wayne, nukes for Jesus cult, that have been beaten into them by the MSM, and at this moment, are being offered a choice, similar to the one described above.

Not to try and equate Ron Paul with Christ; but whom will we choose? The epitome of empty suited, chicanery; Rick Perry, or will we choose the honesty and integrity of Ron Paul?

Uh huh

Oh, and don't forget it was also the MONEY CHANGERS behind that one too! ;-)

How 'bout

Rick PaRRY as "Blab-ass" ? Just kidding..

Serious question:

If you could compare Ron Paul to one of the biblical prophets, who would it be?

John the Revelator.

John the Revelator.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable.

It was more than the people

It was more than the people just chose though, the pharasees went through the crowd, manipulating the crowd; similar to how the media manipulates to show what 'everyone believes'.

A splendid example of inciting a mob and democracy so claimed. 2,000 years later, and nothing has changed.

Mat 27:16
And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. 17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? 18 For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20 But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. 21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. 22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 23 And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. 25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. 26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

Mark 15 6 Now at that feast

Mark 15

6 Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. 7And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. 8And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them. 9But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 10For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy. 11But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. 12And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews? 13And they cried out again, Crucify him. 14Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him. 15And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

This is a great analogy when

This is a great analogy when engaged in conversation with the Pharisee in your life.
