Ron Paul Supporters Plan World Of Warcraft Rally

Next Tuesday (New Year's Day) at 8:30PM EST, a group of fervent supporters of Ron Paul's bid for the presidency of the United States are planning a virtual rally on World of Warcraft's Whisperwind server.
According to the fourteen pages of planning for the event found in this Ron Paul website, players plan to create a guild (presumably with a name designed to advertise their political affiliation), then march from Ironforge to Stormwind.
While I'm sure Mr. Paul's ubiquitous Internet support will manage to draw hundreds of supporters to this e-rally, this sort of thing is a far-too-tempting target for griefers as well. If you want to show off your virtual political allegiances, I'd recommend getting there before the local hooligans start spamming the chat channels and pelting people with snowballs."

Wow - do I feel ignorant. I've not heard of this game before. I gather it is a virtual world type online game where folks at their computers are participating as characters in the game? So - a bunch of Paul supporters are going to gather for a march in this virtual world? This is about the coolest thing I've heard of in a long while. How fun. Wish I could join in - but the closest I'll get is hearing about it from you guys. Please let us know how it goes.

Your right, wow is like the old west, I loved that video and hope serenity now shows up. The march will need some support, my nephew volunteered to support this march and fight if necessary. I will rig his computer to record the event so we can see video when its over.

They're marching on a server that you can't be attacked from other players unless you've changed your status to player vs. player. The funeral ganking happened on a player versus player server, where you're always against other players.
