Enough is enough! Some posters are hurting Dr Paul!

Read the front page Daily Paul post by Jane Aitken.. CEASE AND DESIST! from the Campaign Headquarters. We have to stop these posts and as far as I know I was the only one to flag it. Thank God Jane spotted the post and scrambled to get the truth! Here's what I have to say:

Ron Paul supporters have to understand how hurtful some of the posts on this website are. Who cares how much money Huckabee is raising.. who cares when some posters start criticizing Dr Paul about his speaking abilities. The post yesterday that someone made quoting a blog about FOX excluding Dr Paul was UNTRUE and not verified and should NEVER have been posted. I flagged it because I knew it would get Ron Paul supporters worked up emailing the GOP and FOX. Obviously I was the only one flagging it. Getting RP supporters worked up and going crazy with emails and calls is exactly what the opposition wants us to do and this is exactly what happened! Read Jane Aitken's post on the front page of Daily Paul and start listening to what the campaign says. Now the campaign has to deal with the repercussions of this one blog.

Not everyone posting on Daily Paul is a supporter and some are here to hurt him. Stop falling for this garbage and when a post appears to be negative or posted to discredit Dr. Paul then FLAG it! Flagging only means it will be removed until Mike reviews it and flagging is NOT taking away your freedom of speech. This is to keep us from hurting Dr. Paul and the campaign. We are so close to the primaries and these types of postings will accelerate so be vigilant and flag the ones that you know are negative and could hurt Dr. Paul. Quit responding to them by defending Dr. Paul or arguing with them. Flag them! Don't let the opponents win because this is our one and only shot at freedom and finally a President that cares about Americans.

Responsibility of free persons

Ron advocates a lot of things but most of all... responsibility for ones self and ones actions.

Having said that... Go Ron

hi--permit a little suggestion

i wrote an article about turning the tables on psyops.[dont know how to put it in the front page though]
there will be people from the other side that will cause trouble in our name.
i read in one post that this exclusion from a debate can be a bait to force supporters to "cross the line" in order for them to have a hitpiece that sticks.

we can counter.we can beat them at their own game.
here is one thing we can do. stop referring them as MSM or traditional media,as this euphemism doesnt hurt them, especially their credibility in any way.
rather refer to them with a subliminal cue like "old media" or "corporate media" or "irrelevant media"[take your pick]. a subtle cue that will force them to a defensive in a psyop. much like their label us as "fringe" or putting the "cannot win" and "longshot" label before each mention of ronpaul's name.

also, in the "low on polls", we can counter them by repeating over and over "old-media landline polls" or "corporate-sponsored landline polls" or whatever.

the subtler the subliminal cue, the better. let us not fall into their trap WHERE THEY MAKE THE RULES. We play their game and WE SUBVERT THEM. then we win on our terms.

we must repeat these subliminal cues that eat into their credibility. we must repeat it over and over again in every blog, article or interview. until it forces them to be in the defensive.

good luck everyone,
jc

I seen your posting

It was very interesting and informative.

I like this idea: By using MSM we put ourselves down

So we're then "non-mainstream".

Very good point. "old media" from now on for me.

Um, no, THE POSTER WAS CORRECT. thank you

CNN WOULD LOVE TO BUST FOX ON THIS!!!!

SEND THEM OUR NEWS TIP!!! COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING AND SEND TO CNN AS NEWS TIP TO THE ADDRESS BELOW!!!:

"FAIR AND BALANCED???????? FOX NEWS BANS RON PAUL FROM THE NH FORUM!!!! DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE HAS OUT-RAISED EVERY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE RUNNING THIS QUARTER, HAS SHATTERED THE ONE DAY CONTRIBUTION RECORD FOR A REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, AND OUT-POLLS TWO OF THE OTHER CANDIDATES INVITED!!!!"

Good advice

I'm a new poster- I have always mostly read but I will now keep my eyes out for suspicious postings. Thank you for this site and thank you, Dr. Paul, for being our voice for freedom. I am taking an oath right now to proceed always with thought and caution.

RonPaul2008 on the next debate

Info was correct - RP being excluded. Here is the official word from RonPaul2008.

December 28, 2007 10:39 pm EST

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to the New Hampshire State Republicn Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.

“Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited.”

Snyder continued, “Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event.”

psyop - nerves - whatever

You should all relax a little bit.

You can always react instantly to each other and within the campaign and/or the network of supporters. It does little harm to disagree about tactics or even the facts of a situation like the Fox News exclusion of Ron Paul (which, if I understand it was not the case...).

You don't need to lash out at people outside - that is as much like a tuna taking the bait as anything I have ever seen. You start swimming real fast and then anything that looks like a squid ends up in your mouth. Sometimes a steel hook goes right through your jaw - OUCH!

If you want to attack somebody - throw a flame my way (richyankee@gmail.com) . Depending on what I'm doing, I don't guarantee satisfaction or even any reaction at all, but you can get it out of your system and resume your considered and deliberate manner when dealing with the public, other candidate's supporters, or the enemies of the campaign (yes you are imagining the whole thing...)

Look, they (the evil 'they') are going to call us crazies and scofflaws and any other pejorative that suits them. There is no need to prove them right. Ignore them and go to the firing range. Draw some pictures of your favorite 'game' on a silhouette target and pump a few holes in it. You'll feel better and you will have deprived a devious opponent of a satisfying probe.

You analysts have a good time with that.

Deny them them, dignify yourself. That's my advice and I don't care that you didn't ask for it :)

Be cool!

Offer the NH GOP some money

Although I was polite, my action (emailing Fergus) along with everyone elses hurt the NH GOP. Their servers went down from what I heard.

I feel horrible about this and in my apology email to Mr Fergus told him I would be donating $5 to the NH GOP. If others do the same to at minimum compensate for our actions, it would go along way torwards showing the state GOP that Paul supporters are not only honest people to deal with, but also good people to court when chosing candidates in the future.

PLease donate a small amount to the NH GOP to compensate for our actions.

Thank You

Especially this is nice now that you know that Fergus Cullen from the NH GOP actually tried to reason with FOX but had no luck. He's been good to us and had NO reason to want to do this...so this is why I said, wait. Save your ammo for the real culprits if there are any.

So now you know.

And believe me, I know first hand, if you want to spar with RichYankee, he'll whip your butt good.

;-)

And you actually BELIEVE that?

I'll bet Fergus has some swamp land to sell in Florida Everglades, too ...interested?

"NH GOP actually tried to reason with FOX but had no luck"

Ummm, yeah, right. They are a "co-sponsor" and has "no-luck" in trying to "reason" with the network... They could easily have then said "NO" to the co-sponsor part. Something is rotten in Denmark.

I have already said..

at least a zillion times, that there is some sort of contract that allows FOX to pick the criteria for qualifying people that was made last year BEFORE FERGUS WAS CHAIR.

And the GOP has Ron invited to their morning event....if they wanted him out, why would they have invited him to THAT?

You don't make sense, you are not here in NH, you don't know anyone in the GOP, you don't know Fergus...you have not been campaigning your ass off in 95 degree heat and lugging tents and tables around to events.

No need to resort to personal attacks, Jane.

No, I am not in NH and, no, I do not know Fergus. And neither I nor *YOU* have actually read the "some sort of contract" to know the ACTUAL details, (but I am suspicious of how it is being "characterized" to you, and believe that you are probably being mislead about it as you were misled about Ron Paul being excluded from the Fox event).

The rest of your post is an offensive tirade, and a completely unwarranted attack on me personally... WHY?

Because, as a matter of fact, I *do* know many people in the GOP (as well as Democrats and other political parties) -- and many of the ones I know will treat you with smiles and glad-hand shakes and be your best buddy...then an hour later behind closed doors they will be your worst enemy, will sell you out in a New York minute, and vote completely against you... yet when they emerge, they will swear on a stack of bibles that they "fought for you," "went to the mat," ad nauseum.

It's duplicitous, yes, but it is also common and happens in both business AND politics, and if you don't believe that (because "Mr. X is such a nice supportive man and he wouldn't..." ) well, then you are being naive.

The invitation to their "morning event" is not a national venue, and is therefore fairly irrelevant, so they would probably welcome Kermit the Frog.

Finally, as to what you do with your specific body parts in 95 degree heat (or -20 degree cold for that matter) is really none of my concern; and since it does NOT relate to the validity of Mr. Fegus' statements it is completely irrelevant. But I find your mention of them with those terms to be offensive and unnecessary.

Not a personal attack

My post was NOT a personal attack.

Yes the chairman of the campaign called me after they found out this was happening, from me, so the fact that he did not know was just as I suspected.

Yes the GOP spoke to me, and the fact that they had nothing to do with it was according to another person who cannot be named who was ALSO there.

I was also told about the fact there was a previous contractual obligation to let FOX choose the participants by BOTH the NH GOP and the Campaign.

ARE YOU CALLING THEM LIARS?

Since I felt the NH GOP was innocent all along, even if the exclusion rumor was true, I was simply and rightly trying to stop the NH GOP from getting flamed.

I have been dealing with the NH GOP all through this primary season and they have never tried to do anything to derail Dr Paul and would not start now.

I never said FOX was not capable of this, nor that it might not be true, just that since it was simply an article from the AP that listed respondents and did NOT use the word 'exclude' that we should wait, find out the truth, then hit the people who are really the cause of it.

THAT WAS THE RESPONSIBLE THING TO DO, AND I DID IT.
Please stop perpetuating the idea that the NH GOP has 'excluded' Dr Paul from their events. The brunch IS a national event and will likely be on CSPAN just as the Politics and Eggs event was.

U.S. RADIO AND TV STATIONS REQUIRED
TO GIVE CANDIDATES EQUAL TIME

Under the First Amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing freedom of the press, radio and television stations in the United States have enormous latitude in their coverage of candidates and elections. But according to experts, one regulation that has remained, and is likely to remain, is the Equal Time rule.

however if you read on, then you understand how things got totally out of control and why fox and can do things like this..

came from article by nolancharts: titled "call me a ron paul kook but don't call me "crazy"

http://www.nolanchart.com/article750.html

Benefit of the doubt.

I e-mailed both Fox News and the NH GOP about the story, and basically phrased it as "I'm sure I've been misinformed, but this is what I heard and I feel it's a shame," to paraphrase my e-mail.

It's important that we're polite and give people a chance to redeem themselves, even if they feign "Oh, sorry. It was just an oversight." No need to make Ron look bad.

Thank God...

I was so sick of people worrying about Huckabee.
What does that have to do with getting Dr. Paul elected.
Going negative helps huck not Dr. Paul.

I would never visit his site or click on these links.
From now on I'll start flagging them if they pop up.

Agreed

There were at least 3 posts on ronpaulforums regarding the same thing! I did report it and posted on all three that it was not true, but they just kept going and going. I finally just added the OP to my ignore list. There is a point when you are just TOO involved in the campaign. Let HQ deal with this! You don't think they know what is going on? This is there profession and they know what is best for this campaign!

They don't know what's going on (and that's ok)

"Let HQ deal with this! You don't think they know what is going on?"

The campaign itself has basically written a press release saying WTF? They admit they don't know what's going on themselves.

Plus, the whole reason this campaign is working at all is because people are acting on their own and NOT waiting for "HQ". We are showing that decentralization works...

So NH republican party gets a bunch of emails and phone calls one day. Not the end of the world...they're a political office, they should handle things like "public feedback"!

And, in the end, the original report hasn't been shown false. They haven't said he's actually in the debates, yet have announced others...

Logic, and Ego issues.......

I find nothing wrong with weeding out posts. Lets remember, this is a forum on an internet website that is supposed to be supporting Ron Paul and HIS positions. Let people make what posts they will - and then others delete them if they are deemed not to be liked. Guidelines are fine, and it is fine for people to post things, and then have them deleted.

Arguing about what is ok or not is silly. The people responsable for deleting posts should do their jobs - and NO ONE SHOULD TAKE IT PERSONALLY!

Get over your OWN SELFISH EMOTIONS. If one of my posts got deleted here, I DO NOT CARE. I believed in whatever I posted, and will not back off One iota but I will not make a big deal of it either. Let posts speak for themselves. I do have a few pieces of logical advice though :

1. How about doing a better job EDITING your own posts people. I see so many times posts with NO PARAGRAPHS. These are HARD TO READ!!!

2. I see posts with very questionable (especially as far as how much THOUGHT and COURTESY went into them) titles that are vague, misleading and unclear. Its logical to PROOF READ your own writings, be it subject header, reply, etc. Stop being LAZY and shortsighted.

3. Its not mean spirited for people to disagree with you or flag YOUR post.

Get over your own bleeping ego. Its not all about YOU all the time, or ME. If we self police, there will be less need for simplistic rules which no one wants. Think about it, anticipate, reason.

4. I'm all for freedom - I'm also for responsability. One without the other equals chaos or tyranny in any setting, think about it. What we have had here lately has been pretty chaotic and some measure of order would be wise. I would prefer if WE did it than some external crack down.

5. This is MY TAKE, feel free to look at it and respond accordingly - after YOU think about it for YOURSELF. Thank you.

I don't think posters on this site were the problem.

The misinformation was all over the place, and, unfortunately, several well-respected blogs (like Lew Rockwell's blog) had posted the misinformation and calls to action.

The fast information dissemination works for us most of the time, but sometimes it works against us.

off topic

but a friend of mine just sent me an upset email that i need help responding to.

she lives in nyc, works in the club scene, and interacts with hundreds of people each day. yes, it's shallow... but she knows a lot of people.

she wants me to put together a response that she can send out to her address book...which numbers in the thousands. I guess some of her friends have been giving her a hard time about supporting ron paul and she flipped out on me (i introduced her to Dr. Paul about a month ago).

I want to make sure the letter is tight.
would anyone be willing to give me advice?

thanks.

Keep it simple (and normal)

My advice would be along these lines:

RP has been consistent over 20 years, he is an honest man who speaks the truth as he sees it and you know where he stands.

RP believes in reducing the Government and give the power back to the people.

RP represents the views that we used to have but have now been forgotten, e.g. individual rights, don't spend money we don't have and don't start wars.

Then give her some sites, where she can see for herself and include one of the videos (the one that did it for me was the 1 hour interview at Goggle a "long" time ago).

Most importantly: Keep it simple, don't get into a lot of issues that may be emotional or just too different and don't try to convince her. When people are ready they will know.

BE NORMAL TO WIN

I think one of the problems

we are seeing and reading less as to what people are doing to spread Dr. Paul's message. I would like to hear how it is going in New Hampshire and the other states that will be voting soon. People are tense because they know just how important this election is. Ron Paul supporters remind me of a race horse that has to be held back because it is so anxious to get the race on.

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

Hey, here's a question

I know the people who called love Paul, but are there really so many supporters that act on knee-jerk reactions? Think about it guys...top gop money raiser this quarter, undeniable support, unverified source from poster...it's hard to believe anyone could take that post seriously.

"People should not be afraid of their governments; governments should be afraid of their people." - V for Vendetta

I apologize

I was the one that commented on ron paul's delivery, and questioned whether it may be better for him to have prepared speeches instead of speaking off the cuff.

From now on I will never offer critisism.

I apologize once again, and hope that i am not abolished from this site.

sorry

Chill - You did nothing wrong... We are

Freedom is not FREE!!

We are all feeling the campaign jitters. We have all spent so much time and energy(not counting money) to envision what this country could be. I ask that you look in your heart and would you have not been won over by anything other than his honesty or just being a grandfather. Yes he could be your grandfather and mine.

Yes he could become a more agressive campaigner but then that would turn most of us off.

As far as critisism, that is something we all need from time to time. Word it in the proper way and we will know what is in your heart. I feel your feelings were hurt and that is not the intention of this race or this site. It is ALL about US coming together for the benefit of our country, and how you want to live your life. I could wish for nothing more than you to live life to its fullest. That is all any of us want.

Freedom is not FREE!!
