RealClearPolitics has a poll-results chart available for 2007-2008. Take a look at the second chart on this page:
Last time around, Ron Paul wasn't registering or being included in polls until October. During that month, he averaged 3% or under. The two frontrunners at the time were Giuliani and Thompson... with numbers nearly identical to what Perry and Romney are seeing now.
And who was solidly in third place with about 13%?
McCain, the eventual nominee.
RP's poll numbers this time around are already quadruple what they were during October of the previous campaign. Keep steaming forward and we've got this.
