A Quality Civics Quiz (Take it!)
Submitted by Hard Work on Fri, 12/28/2007 - 19:14
This is pretty cool. A very solid civics quiz. Take the test and report back to the group with your results if you care to. I got an even 85%. I guess the average online score since September is 71.9%. Take it and see for yourself where your economic, political, historical and constitutional knowledge stands. (No using wikipedia or other "tools"!!)

83.33%
50/60, but still better than the highest average college score, Harvard, with 69.56%
PS. I would have been cool if they'd asked which candidate you perfered in the '08 election, then showed the avg. score for each candidate's base. I bet RP fans would be the highest.

Anyway, at least its way better than the Harvard brats.
I'd like to have the fox commentators take this. (and that idiot Megan Mcardle)
78.33% Oh well! I guess I'm not as smart as I thought...

Dang those "Philosopher Kings"
Only scored a piddling 95%
I'll have to give some thought to reading Plato's Republic again.

How embarrassing for me.....Good news: I know what I'll be reading up on for a while.
For those who
got less than 90% on this easy test. Don't you people read anything other than comic books?

I still have the same vote
with my 78% score as you with your 98%.
What's your point?

I salute your 98%,
but I object to your nasty "comic book" remark. I admit I only scored a 95, But I don't think my failure was due to my love for seriagraphic literature. I'm no Brainiac 5 (or even Reed Richards), but I still fancy myself a fairly informed citizen.

!?!?!?
My results are posted....and nowhere near 90%.
I have never read a comic book; however, I do manage to:
-own & operate a business,
-run a family farm,
-own and manage my own rental properties,
-raise my children.
and my most recent addition to my schedule:
-organize an RP MUG.
All of this AFTER working/paying my own way through college.
I'm sure when we get Dr. Paul elected to office I won't have to work so hard for those dollars that the politicians in Washington take from me and then waste.....Maybe then I'll have time to read all of those history books......
You are missing a treat
sistagirl,
May I suggest that you check out Frank Miller's Dark Knight, Will Eisner's Spirit, Steve Ditko's Question, or Paul Levitz' Legion of Super-Heroes? And ALWAYS bear in mind Sturgeon's Law: "90% of everything is crud."

Not as Well as I'd Hoped
But 83.33% ain't bad, especially compared with college students. (AND I had four or five more answers right and then changed them.)
GREAT quiz! Educational! Thanks!
Sorry. Posted Comment Twice.

Yeah ...
I thought calling our form of government an "indirect democracy" is pure crap.
The constitution establishes a republic, and guarantees a republican form of government.
I agree
We are clearly a constitutionally limited republic plain and simple. This was the worst question on the quiz.

Lets just say I have some reading to do.
Thank goodness I went into programming and not politics!
Ok, ok I'm a dumbass, I admit it. At least I *passed* the thing. Sorta like Tommy Boy passed.
But hey, the rEVOLution needs ditch diggers too!

Hey
I think I know what a passing score is.
Don't you have better things to do than harrass people?
I thought you wanted to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
