Delegates?
Submitted by truthseeker3 on Fri, 09/23/2011 - 01:06I'm not finding good info to become a delegate. I keep getting referred to a blog that is lengthy and vague. I am a busy mom and I need clear step by step info to become a delegate. I am in Arizona.

I will join you
I live in AZ and want to do the same. I wonder if there is a way to send a messege though this website.
Are
you a precinct committee(wo)man? That's your first step. You need to attend the local Republican Party meeting held once monthly in your voting district.
Ask the chair for a petition to become a committeeman. You'll need 10 signatures from registered republicans or independents in your voting precinct.
After you become a committeeman you are eligible for election to become a delegate. You must run for the position and the other committeemen in your precinct will have to vote for you.
That's the general idea from when I did it (Tucson) last election cycle. (I did not get a delegate spot that go round).
Contact your local GOP office for further details and meetings. You'll have to start showing up regularly and play politics, but that should be much better going this go round...you should have some friendlies in there to help you.
If your need me to sign your petition let me know.
I am a registered Republican. pcarrao@hotmail.com
thank you!
Thank you; I will start there.
