Rep, Thaddeus, McCotter, ends, presidential, race

[Did anyone know he was in? Does anyone care?]

(CNN) – Michigan Rep. Thaddeus McCotter ended his presidential bid Thursday, after struggling to secure a foothold in the race for the 2012 GOP nomination.

“Today, effective immediately, I have withdrawn my candidacy to become the Republican Party’s nominee for the Office of President of the United States of America," he said in a statement.

“I have decided to seek re-election to continue to serve as your United States Representative for Michigan’s new 11th Congressional District; and, I am committed to promoting and implementing a platform of principled conservatism."

Such a shame

He was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to getting in.

My son dated Thadeus's daughter, years ago.

His voting record has favored big government and big military.

BTW- Did you see my response about your back issues on the thread about Kennedy.
