Breakout Performance for Gary Johnson?Submitted by Lars on Sat, 09/24/2011 - 07:16
There is no doubt in my mind that the oldstream media is now trying to divide and dilute Ron Paul's votes.
And yet I am very happy about this, let me explain.
Sure some votes that could have gone to Ron Paul may now go to Gary Johnson. Is that a bad thing?
Well, first the positive. The more people spreading the message of freedom, peace and liberty the better. The revolution is gaining momentum all the time and having two candidates with a record for actually doing some of the things the other puppets just pay lip service to would be monumental. It would make the ideas of freedom, peace and liberty acceptable to a larger (and more ignorant) part of the population. This is fantastic for the revolution.
The negative might be that it would dilute the support for Ron Paul, but would it? Just to pick some numbers, if Ron Paul had say 18% and Gary Johnson had 5%, that would be 23% for the revolution. That would be great and that would give us two voices in the debates, in the news and on the ground. I can't think of anything better.
Would they dilute the vote in the end, I don't think so. None of them wants to be president for the power. They would surely agree to join forces if that would make sense for the revolution and that could then be an unbeatable ticket.
If Gary Johnson gets much less support the argument still stands and nothing will be lost.
If he gains much more support the argument also still stands and the revolution would just be even stronger.
