ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.

“Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. “Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited.”

Snyder continued, “Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event.”

Editor's Note: Please do not contact that New Hampshire GOP. This may not be the GOP's choice.

Ron Paul should withdraw

from all further participation in Fox venues, including the 1/10/08 SC debate.

He has little to lose, as they belittle and ignore him. Boycotting Fox might impress democrat and independent voters. Plus, he can get a lot of mileage out of the Fox is scared of me, Fox is war propaganda angle.

Kent Snyder update

I still don't see anything about this event on the Fox News Site, and I still think that this could be a blessing in disguise for Dr. Paul. Here's what Kent Snyder says now:

Has Fox News Excluded Ron Paul? pt. 2
On December 27, the Associated Press reported: "The New Hampshire Republican Party is sponsoring a forum for Republican presidential candidates on Jan. 6, two days before the state's first-in-the-nation primary." Later in the article, the AP stated: "Participating in the forum will be Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson."

On the evening of December 28, Jared Chicoine and Jordan Brown of our New Hampshire campaign staff, met in person with Fergus Cullen the New Hampshire GOP chairman to discuss whether or not Dr. Paul would be invited to participate in the presidential candidates forum scheduled for January 6. Mr. Cullen confirmed there will be an event on January 6, but he could not confirm whether or not Dr. Paul would be invited. We also learned the event would not be a debate with an audience, as has been held previously, but instead would be a forum in a closed studio with the candidates questioned only by Chris Wallace of Fox News.

A few hours after that meeting, we contacted Fox News seeking clarification. Later that night, we issued a press release while waiting to hear from Fox News.

On December 29, the Baltimore Sun featured a report by Jason George. Mr. George reported, "Calls and emails to Fox News spokespersons by the Tribune were not returned Saturday evening.

"An official at the New Hampshire GOP, which is co-sponsoring the event with Fox, said that Paul might still be included, but the planning for the debate was still coming together and it was ultimately Fox's call."

As of late afternoon today (December 30), we have nothing more to report.

I hope your blood is boiling

I hope your blood is boiling right now! TAKE ACTION! Included is phone list for the fox advertisers, happy phoning and emailing. We need to MELT down their phone lines. The time is NOW, Ron Paul needs us to act! Half measures availed us nothing. We stand at the turning point. We must make this blow up in their faces and I mean big time. The mileage we can generate from this is huge! Let make them sorry they even thought this up in their fascist little board room!

Hear that rumble in the distance, it's the revolution coming to a city near you!
This can only go 3 ways:
1. We The People of the Ron Paul Revolution, put so much pressure on FOX and their Advertisers, it forces FOX to include Ron Paul in the debate

2. We The People of the Ron Paul Revolution, turn the whole debate into such a media circus that there is so much attention on Ron Paul not being included that he generates even more attention than if he was in the debate in the first place.

3. We The People of the Ron Paul Revolution, accomplish both 1 and 2. Ron Paul gets even more attention and sweeps the primaries.
what ever way it goes we WIN! The icing on the cake is FOX will have the cake on the FACE...I LOVE IT!
The time has come to for us to come to the aid of our PRESIDENT!
You know what to do...

GET BUSY!

1.Forward this out to everyone on your list…NOW! No waiting…just do it!
2. Send an email to the fox list. Here is one or compose your own.

Your "news" organization has now completely lost ALL credibility in my eyes, the eyes of many others in this country, and people around the world. Ron Paul is polling higher than both Duncan Hunter and Fred Thompson (the latter being one of the GOP "frontrunners") in New Hampshire, yet you are going to -include- Mr. Thompson and -exclude- Dr. Paul from the January 6th New Hampshire Republican debate?? That is completely and totally UNACCEPTABLE. It would be in your best interest to include, not exclude, the man who holds the single-day political fundraising record (over $6 million from ~60,000 individuals), who received donations from ~130,000 individuals (myself included) in the 4th quarter (significantly more than any other candidate for President), and winner of more GOP straw polls than any other candidate - RON PAUL. Fox News will be the laughing stock of all journalism if he does well in Iowa and/or New Hampshire and is excluded from the January 6th debate.
Be forewarned: Rupert Murdoch and Executives from FOX “news” the Ron Paul revolution WILL mobilize against you company and clients with a boycott the likes of which you have never known before! If you seriously believe you are going to exclude from a national debate the only presidential candidate who advocates returning to the constitutional root this country was founded under, sir you are seriously mistaken. I will personally BOYCOTT your entire advertising base FOREVER unless you include Ron Paul in the debate on January 6th in New Hampshire. I intend to make sure that every one I know also BOYCOTTS all your advertisers FOREVER for this egregious act against freedom! I will also call every one of your advertisers and let them know I will NEVER buy their product again for the REST OF MY LIFE, unless Ron Paul is invited to the debate on January 6, 2008 in New Hampshire.
Good day!

3 Send a letter to the advertisers, most do not have an email address because they don’t want feedback so they give you a form to fill out. It’s more important to call them now because there isn’t a lot of time to get this done. If you have more emails post them to www.dailyPaul.com or comments http://freedomsphoenix.com/Editorial-Page.htm?InfoNo=028334

I will NEVER EVER buy ANY ONE of your products again for the rest of my life if Ron Paul is not in the presidential debate in New Hampshire on January 6th 2008!
Write whatever you want we just need to get their attention. They aren’t going to want to permanently boycotted by the entire Ron Paul Revolution. The Country is going into a major recession, none of them can afford to lose sales. Hit them in the wallet, it is the only thing these corporations understand and we need to be completely clear on this. Either Ron Paul gets in the debate or your company is boycotted FOREVER! What would you do if you got 100,000 phone calls that your company will be boycotted... exactly you would call FOX and put as much distance between you and them as possible.
3.CALL all the advertisers: I will NEVER EVER buy ANY ONE of your products again for the rest of my life if Ron Paul is not in the debate on January 6th 2008 in New Hampshire! This will be a monument victory for the Ron Paul Revolution, when FOX is forced to change their minds.

4. Call your friends and make sure they forward the email and call the advertisers AGAIN. If your blood is boiling right now have you sent out this email to your entire list ...DO IT NOW!

5. Pray, if you’re an atheist then visualize Ron Paul as our next president!
Think about how awesome will be to have Ron Paul as our President and the restoration of our Constitution, Civil Rights and Peace, knowing that you did everything necessary to make it happen. Having Fox back down from this insanity!

6. Alert the media to the situation

"There is such a thing as;RIGHTEOUS ANGER!"

We have every right to be pissed!

We can still be discrete about it.

But I'm pissed off and would love to start a web-site called justsaynotofoxnews.com and spread it to every freedom/liberty supporter from all different sites like downsizeDC and others. We all need to unite and start a movement to stop the brain washing! I would love to start a non-profit org. and we should all donate to the cause after the election! We would be able to staff a few full timers and create an unprecidented movment to stop a whole news station! Would be neat!

Paul: Fox News is 'scared of me'
Email|Link By James Pindell December 29, 2007 01:40 PM
PLAISTOW, N.H. -- Ron Paul said the decision to exclude him from a debate on Fox News Sunday the weekend before the New Hampshire Primary is proof that the network "is scared" of him.

"They are scared of me and don't want my message to get out, but it will," Paul said in an interview at a diner here. "They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative."

Paul's staff said they are beginning to plan a rally that will take place at the same time the 90-minute debate will air on television. It will be taped at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown.

"They will not win this skirmish," he promised.

The Fox debate occurs less than 24 hours after two back to back Republican and Democratic debates on the same campus sponsored by ABC News, WMUR-TV and the social networking website Facebook.

Paul, the Republican Texas Congressman, was wrapping up his final day of campaigning in New Hampshire until the Iowa Caucuses on Thursday.

He spent much of the day campaigning at diners in Manchester and Plaistow and downtown walks in Derry and Exeter.

Suggested GAMEPLAN

GAMEPLAN:

1) Let Kent Snyder handle this for now. At least for the moment. The national Ron Paul campaign is the perfect party to handle this. And they are handling it.
2) Have a rally for Ron Paul in the same city as the debates but have way more people than those who are attending the debate. Maybe some live music. As many video cameras as possible. Etc.

EDIT: Ron Paul has announced to the Old Media that Fox is "scared of me". Everything is gonna be alright!. Let the national campaign handle this issue. Let's get people on the ground and out in the streets waving signs and handing out slim jims and cd's. That's what hooks people. Hearing Ron's simple but powerful message coming from everyday people. Hit the streets!

=)

GRRRRRRR

i have to head out, but it would probably be a good idea to put up some stories to digg, and send drudge a nice reminder too

we probably wont get this story in papers and on nightly news, but we can easily spread this online

it's probably still worth trying to get in touch with news sources regardless

Go to the Campaign page

it says Fox Has excluded Dr. Paul and that they are trying to find out why they have done it. Politely but firmly let Fox know how you feel. Do not accept this without a response. I intend to let Fox know that if Dr. Paul is not invited I will stop, and ask others to stop, watching Fox. Let's hit them where it hurts: their popcket.

Yeah! their popcket!

Agreed! Course, I was already not watching fox. I hear another good idea though... everyone dump their NewsCorp stock!!

GOOD

RP should BOYCOTT msm. All of them. and we all need to cease this wasteflul terror campaign against fox.

Do you work for Fox??

This is like the THIRD time you have come to FOX defense and suggested we NOT BOYCOTT them or THEIR SPONSORS~~

This is the AMERICAN thing to do.. it is non-violent and there certainly are WAY BETTER CHOICES FOR NEWS AND FOR PRODUCTS THAT SPONSOR FOX..

I will BOYCOTT and I suggest EVERYONE ELSE DO THE SAME...

This is the VERY tactic that FOX's own Blurbering Bill Orally uses... BOYCOTTS..

What is good for the goose is good for the gander...

BOYCOTT FOX!!!

Lets just

cut off this line of discussion right here. This isn't something the campaign will endorse, and there are quite a few people who don't use the internet.

Winning the hearts and minds of the people will occur partially on television.

Wait

Isn't the official word from the campaign that they are trying to find out if he is being excluded? Also, we don't know if this is fox, or the NH GOP. It would be seriously stupid to attack fox if it is not their doing, and it could really hurt the campaign for fox to get a bunch of angry emails for something for which they are not responsible. Let's find out more info first.

Jane says (repeatedly...)

That it's NOT the NH GOP. Therefore, PLEASE, leave them the hell alone (she repeatedly says that, too) and concentrate your energy on POLITE letters to/about Fox. I have yet to send a letter, because I have yet to have a polite thought on the issue...But Jane's on the ground and in NH. I think we should believe her.
JMR

Why should we believe her??

The news posts said the NH GOP extended the invitations!! If that's true, why didn't they invite Ron Paul??

"The New Hampshire Republican Party is pleased to announce that five presidential candidates have accepted their invitation to participate in the First-In-The-Nation Presidential Forum"

Read this article again..

This is an article Kent sent me today. (Yeah I know I wasn't going to share, but...)

Sounds to me like FOX is the one who sent the invites.

Do This Again...

When Dr. Paul was excluded in the Iowa forum he did the right thing. He held his own rally next to the venue. I strongly believe that people will give a damn about it. The unfairness of the treatment given to him by Fox and the rest of the Old Media conglomerates. This will definitely show the power emanating from the grassroots. That they can never put a good man down.

"He who exercises government by means of his virtue may be compared to the north polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn towards it." Confucius

Not next to...

Don't hold a rally "next to." Hold it right outside of...

If the entire sidewalk and street outside the debate is clogged with Ron Paul supporters, they will n ot be able to ignore them.

What's deceptive?

Isn't Fox trying to exclude us despite all the money we've raised and how we're doing in the polls? And isn't that about what the official campaign is now saying?? Can you please be specific about your objection to the headline's accuracy? Thanks.

Everybody is getting worked

Everybody is getting worked up about a debate exclusion, yet the RP2008 website says it is a forum.
Do we know if it is live? Do we know that the included candidates will arrive in studio? Is this just a glorified filler show for a Sunday newscast on foxnews? (I have been led to believe that the weekends are slow for news networks)

And, is RP in the ABC Debate on January 5th?

Oh, ok...

These days, what the old media like to call "debate" isn't interchangeable with an actual debate, at least in my mind.

Re-Broadcast the ABC debate

Re-Broadcast the ABC debate in the same time slot

I checked the local TV schedules for both Jan 5 th and 6th. The ABC debate completes with the first week of the NFL playoffs. No competition for Fox On the 6th.

Heres a thought, regardless of whether Dr. Paul gets confirmed at Fox or not, we know how he will be treated. As well, during the ABC debate on Sat. the 5th,a good portion of the audience will be watching the NFL playoff games. So, why not in either event rebroadcast the ABC debate on Sunday and go head to head with Fox. Promote the re-broadcast with ABC, buy the airtime, either on ABC or another local channel. Maybe I am dreaming, or stretching things a bit far; but whats the downside? Wouldn't it be great to compete head to head with Fox and beat them in the ratings because they left out Dr.Paul? I wonder if Fox would even risk the embarrassment of losing. Or maybe I just need another cup of coffee, just a thought.

CONTACTS!

I Phoned Marty Ryan At Fox

Thank you for the most excellent information. I phoned Marty Ryan (202-824-6403) and politely left word on his answering machine that I disapprove of their decision to omit Ron Paul from the debate. The above number goes directly to his voice mail :-) I'm convinced if everyone that reads this does the same, it would make it very hard for him to get communications through his answering system.

I'll be DAMDED if I am going to sit back and let my civil liberties be slowly manipulated away from me! I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!!

P.S. Take as much time as you need to get your point across properly

Me too, and his voicemail box is full

Let's make sure we keep being a thorn in their side by making their phone system unusable :)

Can we get this on the front page

Can we get this on the front page for Monday? Personally; I am waiting until Monday before I email and Call; I want some real conformation that Fox is excluding Ron Paul. All I see is that he has not responded to the invitation -- that may or may not have been sent. I am not sure from the posts if he was invited or not.

National HQ should have one person assigned to coordinate all these debates; the NRA event should have taught us that.

You mean we have no one at NHQ that has a relationship with FOX that can pick up the phone and call Chris Wallace directly or the producer?

Ron needs to finish third in Iowa; then it will really look like.....(oh I can't mention CFR agenda here).
