Do Not Protest On Wall Street

Ron Paul supporters should have seen this coming long ago and we should know by now that this is not our fight.
95% of the people protesting most likely voted for Obama in 2008 and are now looking for change by other means.

We should know by now what needs to be done to bring about the changes in society that we want to see and joining this protest is certainly not one of them.

Let the parasites scream at each other till they turn purple!

An increase in violence seems to be inevitable and we do not need to be a part of it. We are non violent and know that our ideas are much more powerful than any form of protest.

Lets get Ron Paul elected and stay clear from this useless protest.

I hope most of us can agree with this position.

Peace

ron paul supporters represent

ron paul supporters represent a diverse collection of views. we've gone to tea party rallies and now these occupy wall st. rallies, doing much of the same thing. if you don't feel like it is beneficial for you to go, it's probably not. don't go then. your actions probably aren't going to bring solidarity with these protesters. as for me, if i were living in new york, i would be there. there is an event coming up in michigan soon, and i plan on attending.

Do not even entertain the viewing of these events.

Ron Paul must in no way get assocciatd with this deception.
this is Democrats and their war on the rich. Socialist agenda.
do not post video or embed anywhere , you help spread their deception. It's part of Obama rehtoric.

man, you are so confused

Quite a few of those protesting voted for Obama. For sure.

Most of the are quite unhappy.

Who would you have had them vote for? John F'n McCAIN?

Mitt Womney? Wick Pewwy?

Do you think that the problems these people complain about are imaginary?

How is it that you perceive them as being different from you?

some video of the police riot last saturday

difficult to watch

Dead wrong

No, we need to be there to educate the ignorant commies and point them in the right direction like maybe THE FEDERAL RESERVE.

They already don't like the Fed.

They want to end it. But for different reasons than us. They want Congress to exercise "democratic control" over the money supply instead, and use it to spend a lot of money on socialist stuff.

You've been ZAMPED!!!!!!!

These people are wasting their time

They are out in force protesting the offending product of the horse's @ss while Washington, D.C. is stuffing the horse's mouth with hay stolen from the people.

The only change they want is for DC to feed the horse organic alfalfa instead, when they should be demanding that the horse be put out to pasture!!!

Why protest wall street at all when it's DC that allows wall street to play their criminal games?

Don't confuse corporate cronyism with free markets.

what ron paulers need to do

is to find the common ground with these people and realize that we all want something very very similar.

let us not be distracted by the nay sayers at this time of opportunity to form a vibrant new coalition

I agree...

with Truefictions on this....(and some of the other posters here)

I originally thought this was something I could get behind...but as I watched the live stream a while I realized that MOST...not ALL....but MOST of the protesters there are actually for more Government mandates and restrictions, they are just pissed at Wall Street and what is stands for.

I totally respect their right to protest..and I give them much love and support in it...as anyone willing to get up off their ass to do anything will atleast get a nod of approval from me. However...their fight is not my fight...

Dr. Paul does not jump in bed with Sean Hannity when Hannity says he believes the Fed should be audited...because he knows that for the most part..he and Hannity would never be of the same mindset....
So..me personally...I'm not ready to jump in a protester's sleepingbag.

More power to them...but my power and energy will go elsewhere.

My Opinion...

I agree.

This is a class warfare thing, advocating for higher taxes on "the rich." Michael Moore is becoming a spokesman for it. We shouldn't be associating ourselves with that.

We should do the opposite and stage a "Occupy the IRS" protest, advocating abolition of taxes.

You've been ZAMPED!!!!!!!

Don't be shy

I was one of those left wing nuts before RP inspired me to rethink economics and I bacame a right wing nut. Some of the people at protests are open minded and appreciate anyone who takes the time and effort to talk to them about the issues. I became an RP supporter because of his writing on Antiwar.com, I was totally impressed because I thought all Repubs were pro-war. RP opened my eyes to the false left right paradigm. You seem to be a pretty big supporter of the false left right paradigm.

-A former liberal for Ron Paul.

wow

Good to know.

You've been ZAMPED!!!!!!!

RON PAUL SUPPORTERS SHOULD STAY WAY FROM THIS PROTEST! PLEASE!

RON PAUL SUPPORTERS SHOULD STAY WAY FROM THIS PROTEST! PLEASE!

IT'S A SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST PROTEST IMO AND DESIGNED TO SERVE AS AN EXCUSE FOR THE COLLAPSE OF THE ECONOMY SHOULD IT GROW AND TURN VIOLENT.

IF THE PROTEST GROWS AND THE CROWD STORMS THE TRADING FLOOR IN A RIOT SCENARIO, WHAT KIND OF EFFECT WILL THAT HAVE?

WOULDN'T BIG GOVERNMENT LOVE TO HAVE THAT EXCUSE TO HIDE IT'S OWN IDEOLOGICAL FAILURES?

DON'T BUY IN TO THIS BULLSHIT, LETS GET RON PAUL ELECTED AND FIX THE SYSTEM.

IT'S NOT A SOCIALIST COMMUNIST PROTEST

IT'S A MIXED PROTEST...MOST ARE JUST MAD AS HELL AT THE SYSTEM

AND ALL CAPS ARE IRRITATING

Pretty sure SEUI and ACORN are behind this

Wish there was some proof of this

but it seems if it is true they buried any links between SEIU and ACORN to avoid the baggage. But I also like the theory another poster mentioned that these are probably Obama's brownshirts making noise to help get the jobs bill passed.

I guess the jury is still out until the smoking gun is found, probably in the hand of George Soros... so many actors, so many possibilities.

ok

the original idea was promoted in a magazine called adbusters. Adbusters is sort of an anti-consumerist art group. Elelments of anonops started promoting the idea, it went viral. The original turnout was supposed to be much higher. it's not that hard to get 300-400 people to a protest in manhattan with social networking. Somebody like George Soros wouldn't waste his time with something like this.

Sorry about the caps..

I wouldn't call it a mixed protest when 95% of the people protesting are calling for higher taxes, eat the rich, more regulation, etc..

I don't even think it is a good "recruiting ground" because most people protesting strike me as hard core left wing nuts who are far from having the open mind required to make the ideological transition.

I would love to hear what Ron Paul has to say about the protests and if he would like to see his supporters involved in it.

Once again, sorry about the caps. It is not my intention to tell people what to do, nor do I have or would ever want any power to do that. My intention is to make Ron Paul supporters think long and hard before they join in on this.

I respect everyone's right to protest of course, but I hope we can acknowledge that marching with people who are making demands that contradict our own, only serves to empower them and big government.

I try to change people every day. Do You?

Young passionate questioning people are ripe for awakening

Aside from the people trying to move the government towards socialism, most of these people could easily become Ron Paulers.

Ron Paulers should be reaching out to these people. They have open minds and will research RP.

And nothing sells Ron Paul like Ron Paul.

Once they see that Ron Paul is one of the few politicians not corrupt, they'll support him in some way or other.

But again, the protestors that have an anti-capitalist agenda will not like Ron Paul very much, but I bet they'll respect him for not selling out...and talk him up a bit.

There's great opportunity here.

Reach out to them online...and if you are in the area, mingle. I bet WE learn a thing or two also.

Not sure I understand the animosity

Signs are written to be understood. Seems as if some are saying what has been said here for many-a-year.

Now in warfare, armies have a certain competition between each other to be the first, the best, and.. its good for moral to compete, even so, not of the same camp, but of the same Country, the same end-goal. What is the problem? I have yet to see a great distinction between Ron Paul supporters and these guys. Oh, could be wrong, but not convinced yet.

AND, where are the DailyPaul On-The-Scene Reporters in this matter, this protest seems worthy of some in-person video investigatin'. Laugh, no offense Michael Nystrom, just a inquiry into those who might have such skills and located near-by, and of course, easy for me to say.

well

i was there at one point and my friend went a few days ago.

Well alright!

whats the general assessment, good, bad, ugly?

thanks for sharin' ..as for myself, I'd probably have to go as an observer first and then, it would be hard to say. Check out the organizing, attitudes, so on. Never being to one of these "gatherings", I'd be distant, cautious.

The people must rise up.

Americans are too snooty and too lazy in general which is one of the reasons that the Banksters and the Entrenched Oligarchy is doing so well while the people do so poorly.

These protestors are demanding the same thing that most Ron Paul supporters want.

I find truefictions' commentary to be pathetic as well as absurd.

When the Social Contract is Broken

the People Must Revolt.

truefiction, may your chains rest lightly upon you.

I was watching the live stream today

And saw 2 people holding up ron paul's book End The Fed.

:)

Agreed!

These are the same protesters that were marching in the streets over the wars and then quickly crawled back into the woodwork once Obama became president, proving they were more anti-Bush than anti-war.

I do commend them however... It's about frig'n time the masses got mad enough to do SOMETHING about this economy. The US is about two years behind Europe in the "hitting the streets because were so pissed off" department. I was beginning to think it was never going to happen.

However, I will NOT be joining them for this protest as I did during the Bush era anti-war demonstrations. Back then we were all on the same page as to the problem and solution. That is, ending the wars and bringing our troops home. Simple!

Nope, this demonstration is different because these are mostly misguided souls that don't understand the problem and therefore don't know the solution. They believe hanging a few people on Wall Street, taxing the rich and more corporate regulations are the answer. I can't get behind that and definitely not worth getting roughed up by the police over.

Now, if they were protesting in front of the Federal Reserve building and chanting "end the Fed", that's something I can get behind.

If men are good, you don't need government; if men are evil or ambivalent, you don't dare have one.

libertarians progressives anarchists even paleoconservatives

All ought to be out there.

unfortunately or fortunately

i am about as far away from NYC as one can get and it is pointless for me to try to get there.

This IS our fight!

How can it not be our fight?

This is where our people need to be with End the Fed signs and Ron Paul signs.
