Battle of Orlando is Over! Florida is the graveyard of frontrunners. Thanks to you who voted at straw poll.

BE PROUD: Florida Straw Poll has shaken the establishment

Yes, Cain won by a landslide. Even with Ron Paul placing 5th, what happened is very good.

85% of all delegates this past weekend said NO PERRY!!! And 71% said NO to BOTH Perry and Romney. So who is third after those two in national polls? You guessed it, Ron Paul. Paul has the most to gain from these two campaigns collapsing.

Don't focus on the complaints that have been made that the Ron Paul campaign could have done more of this or that. Maybe its true but it was impractical to think he'd win. This was a $175 a ticket straw poll with a short and restricted registration setup plus you had to travel to the location to cast your ballot (many people were put off by the nearly 1,000 mile drive to and back which was my case as well). In fact, most people at P5 just wanted to see and hear Ron Paul in person so winning was not a priority.

Just remember the most important news out of Orlando: Perry is Toast and Ron Paul is HOT! How sweet it is that Florida is the graveyard of frontrunners :-)

Someone said that paying the $175 is like "paying a bribe to the war party of Florida." How bitter and discouraged was that guy? Clearly, he or she did not know what they paid for.

Let me remind you...

**You can't win if you don't show up**

No one ever says I wish I was less aggressive or I wish I did less for the cause of liberty when offered the chance. The Republican establishment is constantly on edge, looking behind their shoulders terrified that a Ron Paul majority will form and take control of the party apparatchik. Less than $53,000 was paid from the $175 registration fee which does little to pay for the mercenaries they have to keep guarding the hen house from us, the tireless freedom fighters, so they can play (and sleep). We are dealing with a vampire class, after all.

One day, it will happen that the establishment will drop its guard and a Rand Paul-type will get elected in Florida or a REC will completely be taken over by Paul supporters. We working to bring that day sooner rather than later.

**We delivered a message: Liberty is good for the GOP**

The last three weeks or so have seen Ron Paul's polling numbers increase after good debate performances, receiving more military donations then every GOP candidate combined and no longer being ignored by the media (even Gary Johnson is starting to benefit from Paul's favorable treatment). Personally, I have been ecstatic to see more and more Ron Paul supporters step out of the general membership of the REC and vote for Paul at the Florida straw poll.

We have more friends than we think. Our message is causing a splash in the GOP pool.

**Networking goes Statewide**

It starts at a point of contact. I do this and you do that and together we can support initiatives from exposing newsworthy corruption, promoting liberty events like Nullify Now in Jacksonville next month, helping pass legislation and electing libertarians to government. There are Ron Paul supporters in government and many more in government who like his ideas.

Where we go from here is up to us and NOT a far away, national campaign solely focused on getting Ron Paul elected.

**Perry's Last Stand: Ron Paul's greatest chance yet**

This past weekend marked a serious blow to Rick Perry's chances for the Republican nomination. Neocons are bailing ship, establishment money is staying on the sidelines and the charade of the "two-man race" for president is broken.

Perry tried to make a move on the straw poll and spent money winning the favor and support of the Republican establishment. But this effort has backfired and now even the rank-and-file Republican sees the leadership vacuum in the GOP. Our message has room to grow.

Calls for Perry to resign are deafening. It is only a matter of time that he drops out or is relegated to the back of the line with Bachmann and Huntsman (and told to be quiet and not raise a fuss).

Only Ron Paul is in position to best benefit here. This is his moment.

**Be Extraordinary: This is your time, too**

This is not only a great moment for Ron Paul in 2011 but also for you to empower yourself, become the message of liberty and convince others that this is the message to get behind of. Political victory is only achievable by your persistence. Just like teaching yourself about economics or history or current events this too takes time. Better get started now. The sooner you do, the sooner you see results. So while the Battle of Orlando has ended we still have our own to fight at home. And just like in Orlando, you are not alone now and neither is Ron Paul.

To everyone who cast a vote for Ron Paul at Presidency 5 Republican straw poll in Orlando:

Thank you.

Just showing up means victory is possible even here. You will make it happen. This is the start of the r3LOVution in Florida. Mark my words.

Well put, Hector

Hector was there and knows of what he speaks...

Winning is not everything?

People went to see Ron Paul, not to win the Straw Poll?

I love California, which was SPLIT, as LPAC/C4L/Y4L was having a convention in Reno, which is MUCH closer to me, by 8 hours, and to allot of Ron Paul CA delegates.. who didn't go to vote for Ron Paul in the straw poll, but went to NV. I KNOW several!!!

We couldn't make it to the straw poll,

either. My husband does proofreading, editing, crossword puzzle writing, and programming. If you need any of these, contact me.

Love won! Deliverance from Tyranny is on the way! Col. 2:13-15

When it comes to tyranny...

...just resisting is victory!

If you want to see a more definite outcome then get a few of your friends to send me money (Florida is a leading unemployment state so there's not much going on regarding fundraising).

By the way, I have also written about the rigged game in the convention elsewhere.

Thanks to all who were there!

I love this!

I like your analysis!

Well spoken Hector!

Sometimes you have to read between the lines, and your right, the straw poll was a win for Ron Paul in the long run.

Thank you...

Please let others know that you don't have to feel bad when Paul does come in first. The fact that the establishment is trying so hard is a great sign that Ron Paul is advancing...

Now THAT's the kind of optimism I love!

How they counted the Straw Poll!!!!

My problem is that after 3 days of working to unseat Obama, promote Ron Paul, freedom, take time off of work, spend the money on the ticket, the parking, expensive drinks and food, I felt we have all been deceived. I just know for a fact I did not see 37% of Herman Cain, delegates walking up and down those halls for 3 days. Few Cain sticker on anywhere! The fact that there was no paper vote counting machines was very disappointing! I will not quit being a active Republican to defeat Obama but I know I would even work harder if the RPOF (Republican Party of Florida) would be accountable and lead better by example.
The only scenario I could figure out is that the RPOF fraudulently made the vote count 37% for Cain because they wanted Dr. Paul 5th so they can take him out of the top tier? I don't trust any of them.

I was happy cain won

because it gives credibility to Ron Paul's straw poll victories and even more credibility to his second place Iowa victory. But it also shows how unsure many republicans are on who to vote for as well. This is good for Paul. Perhaps these non supporters will stay home or perhaps they'll split the vote giving Paul the edge. I do see the next flavor of the week showing up and perhaps diluting the vote even further for the GOP establishment.
