FOX Tactic = A Trap.

Yes this is outrageous.

Yes something should be done.

Here's an angle no one else is seeing in their furor:

This is a trap set by good old Fox News(I mean Hitlery supporting Murdoch) to get Ron Paul supporters to CROSS THE LINE!!!!

Yes, there is no real reason to exclude such a candidate as Ron Paul, so what motive?

Here's the answer:
They need a reason, ANY reason, to create negative spin on the good doctor!

Think about it, they exclude him and are serious about it, that throws the entire grass roots into attack mode, and with many people out there having little tact things could get pretty ugly very quickly and then will come some event where someone gets beat up or something gets broken or something, ANYTHING and then the main stream media can go into their own, NATIONWIDE attack mode!!!

"Today, supporters of Republican candidate, Ron Paul, accosted Fox News reporters in a purported furor over the exclusion of the candidate in the upcoming New Hampshire debate. It's not clear why the reporters were actually attacked, as Fox News has given ample reason to not include the candidate, but so far it seems that nothing will calm these violent thugs.

Ron Paul, the Libertarian congressman from Texas, made a public statement denouncing these attacks and any violence in particular, but it is clear from internet chat rooms and online social networking sites that the self-proclaimed "Ron Paul Revolution" has no intentions of backing down and seem to be completely out of the campaigns control. . . "

Then just imagine all the talking head shows like O'Reilly, H&C, AC360, etc:

"Can you believe this wave of Ron Paul attacks? It seems the revolution is getting serious! I mean, these are anarchists, really, dressing up as Republicans and now it's not safe for reporters anywhere!!!"

The campaign, if not shut down, would lose steam real fast and there goes any hope for this whole thing.

Sure, you may say I'm taking this too seriously, but I'm not. I'm taking this REALISTICALLY!!! This is the kind of stuff I'd do if I had unlimited resources and no soul and wanted someone who is untouchable taken out!

Think like them!

I have a "freedom" oriented myspace site with almost 1000 "freedom" people on it, and there is just an uproar over this. People talking about causing nationwide traffic jams, and yes, even violence, just because of the POSSIBILITY of Ron Paul being excluded from a debate.

If it turns out to be OFFICIAL, as in completely and absolutely confirmed by the campaign AND Fox News, then something must be done along the lines of what has worked for us in the past, that being flood the f'ers with phone calls, emails, written letters, etc. But TACT must be shown and known by everyone. Threats and violence will only lead us nowhere.

Just think about what I'm saying here. Many of us, most of us, are not in any way able to fall into this "radical supporter" category, but you must realize that there are quite a few of them out there, and if we all buy into this quite possibly, and most likely, Murdoch-created frenzy then we are just as guilty.

Now is that chance to show everyone how mature our support really is. Now we can show them what we showed them in Iowa when Ron was excluded from the tax forum. The difference between then and now is that Ron was nowhere on the media radar then, and we didn't even have half as much support!!!

So get out to your meetup groups and make sure all dogs are on leashes, and all thoughts toward the positive of getting Ron Paul elected.

!

The fervor of peaceful protest is amazing! This is so powerful! I really think America can pull through and help the birth of a Novus Ordo Seclorum!
Ha... just kidding some of you. But seriously, this revolution is just getting more and more intense. Is this IT or what?!?!

Great post

I think we need to find other stations to support us in this rather than fight with the one that will never change its mind on this. What if instead of fighting FOX we get some other stations to engage in something we all want to know? Let us get a Republican vs Democrat debate on the same day and time! Hey we are trying to pick the winner lets see how they do against the competition. I would suggest that we grab the the greatest share of viewers. FOX can have their debate but who ever fails to show up can't say they can beat the Dems by chickening out of the debate. I feel this would also allow us to grab more people from the Dems as well as show FOX who is running this election.

Fox is fishing for a Howard Dean scream --- it is set up

"Victory for liberty! That is our goal, and nothing less. -- Ron Paul, December 17, 2007"

Ron Paul is my President.

AGREED!

Don't fall in this trap - don't hand them a victory - whatever you do - do it RATIONALLY.

No Not Agreed

Doing nothing is handing them the victory. This is not a trap, it is fraud.

They say "Never pick a fight

They say "Never pick a fight with someone who buys ink by the barrel". You will lose. It seems to me the best tact would be get the other buyers of "ink by the barrel" such as CNN et al involved in slamming FOX... somehow

An uproar from INSIDE

Check out this thread:
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/18081

It's a great idea: Buy up all the tickets to the debate. When the camera's start rolling - begin the Ron Paul Rally from inside!

No tickets

Ron Paul supporters will be blocked by a police line. This has happened before.

If that could be done, then

If that could be done, then hell yeah! Other stations would be all over that if we basically took over the debates!!! It would be a sight to see. . .it's still sketchy though. What if they started tazing RP supporters? Think riot, think bad press, think end of campaign.

If it can be done right, let it be so!

Not for sale

The audience will be hand picked.

Did you not read the post?

Because how are they selling tickets if the audience is hand picked?

https://www.fundraisingbynet.net/fbn/eventeticketnhgop.asp

Thats not the debate

stop dreaming

an uproar still needed

we don't have to participate in the debate (probably best if he doesn't) but the uproar must occur to validate us and garner the attention.

if we don't bitch who will??? Will other media give a damn if we don't???

Come on people!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harming democracy, not serving public interest

I have been reading Jefferson lately, and I'd love to have more of his spirit around this revolution.

I'm pretty sure Fox is trying to incite some action for a negative spin.

The quality, civility, and fairness of Fox is now demonstrably very poor, and this weakens citizen participation in a democracy.

By law, TV is to "serve the public interest".

Fox is neglecting the public interest, harming democracy and in violation of their obligations under the law. Simply put, Fox must be held accountable.

Peace

I will be polite. But it is still my Alamo.

Fine

They will only look like morons three days after Ron Paul gets 3rd or better in Iowa.
This is my Alamo. I may go down, but I'll go down fighting.

C-span

Ok fine we are sick of these dweebs asking Ron stupid questions anyway so this would give Dr. Paul the chance to schedule some C-span air time to discuss his platform at the same time the androids are glueing macaroni over on Fox/Boomarang network.

I agree.

I agree.

My question is, Did the NH GOP extend an invitation to Dr. Paul? If NOT then our beef is with the NH GOP and not with Fox. So before everyone gets their shorts in a knot might suggest that everyone do their homework before posting disinformation and misinformation as there is already too much misinformation and disinformation posted on this sight already. Check and double check your information before you post. VERIFY, VERIFY, VERIFY.

Everyone wants to attack Fox when this was the New Hampshire Republican Party That extended the Invitations.

Voluntary Association, Mutual Cooperation.

Voluntary Association + Mutual Cooperation + 110% Personal Responsibility = 100% Individual Liberty

I agree....

Any aggression will ruin us.

we can use the collective creativity and outsmart these DOUCHEBAGS!

Think of all of the great things this grassroots campaign has done thus far.

agree

I agree...

Fox will look like the

Fox will look like the idiots they are if Ron Paul comes in the top three in Iowa and he's NOT included in the New Hampshire debate.

This is not a trap, its business as usual at Fox

We can lie down and do nothing.... or we can do something.

I think we can make an effort to communicate this disconnect without being jerks. In fact we should be polite and smart with responses but also be firm.

Good Message

CPAforRP

We need to keep our cool at all times. Spread the word.

Go Ron!

CPAforRP

Attack Fox... 3/4 of the people hate Fox anyway...

Gezus... Fox has hated and denounced Ron Paul worse than any other news station there is. They are NEVER going to give Ron Paul his due... wake up and smell the coffee folks...

I think JUST OUT OF PLAIN PRINCIPAL its time we struck back at Fox... even if this exclusion from the debates hadnt happened (or if they change their minds etc. etc. etc.)

Its time SOMEONE STRUCK BACK AT FOX... and I mean go after the sponsors and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH...

Also I want to re-state as I did elsewhere that someone said we are doing a disservice to the *real* troops on foot in NH... bullshit!!
We started this revolution (and trust me it *is* a real revolution against Mainstream Media) - they know they are under attack by Ron Paul and we know it - Ron Paul *is* attacking the whole political process, corporate fascism, mainstream media, etc. etc. etc...

WE are not going to get anywhere pandering to FOX... so I think its high time we showed the power of the people by going after FOX...
Maybe we can take Fox down??? by going through the sponsors.
Now how is that for Headline News... Ron Paul supporters strike back... Fox news relents, etc. etc. etc...

Any attack for any reason on Fox could not hurt us in the Media... Hell 3/4 of the population of USA knows what Fox News station is...
Everyone I know says its a horrible biased new station...

I just dont understand how you folks can say "do nothing" which will accomplish absolutely "nothing"... 70% of the sheeple dont really care about this coming election and will only go out and vote straight repub or demo... Its the media attention we have generated that has gotten the ball moving and its well known its the grassroot movement that is pushing the ball...

Nothing bad can come from going after Fox... thats my opinion!

"do nothing" is not the

"do nothing" is not the answer, but dont leave your rationality at the door and trade it in for herd mentality! its a crappy situation but we have to be realistic, and taking on big media is not that. we have much better things to do RIGHT NOW like canvassing and then after we kick ass in the primaries we can worry about big media! Think about it rationally, not emotionally.

If that is their plan

then they can put together a bunch of Fake Ron Paul supporters and commit their crime, whatever crime they like. What are you going to do then?

C'mon now snap out of it!

Snap out of what? I'm being

Snap out of what? I'm being realistic. Taking on big media, while soothing to the revolutionary ego, is low on the list of things we need to be doing to accomplish the real task of securing primary votes and new supporters for RP! Sure, they could plant fakes, but why make it easy for them?
