Aerial Advertising Idea

Gus in Naples, FL writes:

Dear Ron Paul Supporters,

I have an idea for the campaign. Since the NFL is starting in 9 days, I thought we could buy airplane banner advertising. There are 9 or 10 games playing in open air stadiums during the day on Sunday. The home games are GB ,WAS, NJJ, JAC, BUF, CLE, HOU, SD, and OAK.

I spoke with Patrick at Air Sign: http://www.airsign.com/co... (704-408-1733) He said they are a national company that could do most of the cities. The cost would be $200 for the sign and $750 per hour flying time (min. 2 hrs) per flight. He said we could get a discount of $100 if we used a number of flights.

I spoke with Ron Paul’s people and they liked the idea. The plan would be to contact the meet-up groups in the respective cities to raise the money. You could also contact the visiting teams meet-up cities to help with the costs. Patrick said we will have to move fast because this is prime time.

I did not disclose the reason for the advertising. Maybe you could pass this idea to Ron Paul's meet up groups. I have no affiliation with Airsign.

Naples, FL

Skyspot has been doing a night aerial advertising campaign in Florida. We use an electronic sign to scroll multiple messages over nighttime events. We have no set-up fee. Skyspot has been working with the local meet-up groups to receive reduced rates towards their expenses. Please refer to Skyspots website at Myspace.com for details about the Ron Paul Campaign rates.

Unless their are specific arrangements made with the stadiums, there is a "no-fly" zone (as a result of 9/11) around a stadium with a seating capacity of 30,000 1 hour before and after the event time. This also includes Disney. This prevents us from hitting tailgating parties, or the mass exiting after a game. You must be 3 miles outside of the stadium during these times. (Talk about liberties being taken away). Any questions our email is skyspotadvertising@yahoo.com.

Thanks
