PS: If you go to this site you will also notice that I use this media to promote "Ron Paul" (simply click on the header). Also in the lower left corner of the site you will see the Madsen flag it is another redirect to the RP campaign - I do this with all my online sites - (13) We Need Freedom!

Buy locally first

Check out your local dealers first. Their markup is usually less than what you will pay online at Monex or Ampex. I buy locally first, and if they are out, then I buy from Ampex. I always buy generic rounds, some people call them "junk", but silver is silver. It will trade just like Eagles. An oz. is an oz. Eagles have a higher markup. Generic rounds come in a large variety. Sometimes they aren't real pretty, but they're still silver ounces. My local dealer occassionally has 1/2 oz. silver rounds too.

Warning, Northwest Territories has a bad reputation for slow deliveries. Slow as in months! Love their coins, but the wait has caused many to steer far away. I love it when my local dealer gets NWT coins in. They are gorgeous. I wonder which poor soul had to wait forever to get them and then they end up in my local store.

Oh, and if I were you, I'd buy now until you can't afford to as the price goes up. Yep, it might drop a bit for another week or two, but buy, buy, buy now! THEN HOLD!

My two cents:

Best Kind: Anything physical
Buy for the very long term otherwise just trade the paper.
Best time? Hard to say in such a manipulated market. Just avoid the greed and the fear while buying a little here and a little there. In other words, space out your purchases over the next several months.

wait. You should find another

wait. You should find another opportunity. lower. Only problem is as the price goes lower more people buy.

Buy

and hold. Buy and hold. Always.

http://www.apmex.com is the site I usually recommend.

Thank you

there are so many choices I don't know where to begin though, lol.

As long as you

have silver and/or gold, no matter what the form, you have good protection from a currency collapse.

However, I recommend silver and/or gold eagles. These will be very recognizable for trading as having a known precious metal amount and therefore value. Aside from that, junk silver such as old dimes etc. are good because you can spend them in smaller amounts, and they are recognizable too.

Other than that bars can work well for people fortunate enough to have lots of cash they want to convert and store.
