Romney secretly and illegally funded Perry

Note: This is the type of the scandal that the establishment press doesn't want to cover, because it takes down both frontrunners at once.

It might be hard to imagine after last week’s GOP presidential slugfest, but there was a time not too long ago when a group headed by Mitt Romney quietly—and a judge says illegally—helped Rick Perry’s political career in Texas and set the stage for his new nemesis to rise on the national stage.

And what hasn’t emerged before are court files reviewed by The Daily Beast stating that Romney was personally aware of the origins of the $1 million donation from a Texas homebuilder at the heart of the controversy, and that he discussed it with Perry’s campaign aides.

The campaign's statement to the court said that when Delisi and Carney met with Mitt Romney on October 4 they were told that the RGA was about to receive $1 million from a Texas donor. "Gov. Romney did not identify who the individual was, and TRP had no knowledge prior to that time that any individual was planning to contribute $1 million to the RGA," the statement said.

If you read the full story from Reuters, it looks like that in addition to the first story, that Perry aids may have lied under oath to cover up meeting with Romney.

they really mean unSELECTable, because there's no way in hell the media and establishment will select this man to be president. However, elections are by citizens, not the media. So he is the Most electable.

I've watched the podium over the last 20 years or more being filled by one crook after another, so it's absolutely no surprise to me.

The biggest shock politically I've ever had was the first day I sat down to watch a video clip that someone suggested I watch about some guy named Ron Paul. I count that as one of the best things I've done for myself in quite sometime. Too much? Nope.

I could no longer sit by and stew as I watched my country fall.. I had a voice in the form of a political persons message, one that I thought had died in the minds of America. I was wrong and couldn't be more grateful for it.

Nice piece of information. I have heard of this because of the lawsuit by Chris Bell. It is old information but as old information goes people forget. How nifty that election took place before voters knew about it. 39% for Perry. Almost got rid of him then!

Thanks for posting this. I will archive and remind others. Meanwhile I am of contention Americans are never going to put up a fight against our corrupt political process and they will continue to vote for the corrupt. I think this country is and has been in very dangerous territory for a long time as a result of occurrences like this.

someone please summarize what happened in a couple of sentences, and tell me how damaging this could be?

I'm trying to determine whether it is important enough to forward to the campaign, but I am tied up with some other issues.

How we deal with this recent "drone incident" is crucial. A very dangerous precedent has been set, and a line drawn in the sand. Response time is critical.

We have a Prez that JOKES about using drones on the Jonas Brothers (sp) because his daughters like them. We have certain agencies calling Tea Partiers, Consitutionalists, and other non conformists "Terrorists". Who's next?

We ALL need to be ready to weather this storm.

for getting this story to grow legs. It isn't going to be publicized by the Republican base media. If we could only get the talk show hosts in each of our cities to quit pumping up Perry in the South and Romney in the North, we could reach the people we need to reach.

Don't know about a pay off but I certainly do not trust the relationship between Perry and Beck. I listened to that "interview" live and from the first words spoken I sensed it was not a interview to allow Debra Medina to speak about Texas politics. She was set up big time and the Perry wolves were waiting for the instance she gave her response to Beck's 911 question to flood the networks with tweets and calls to media outlets.
