Dylan

I didn't know Dylan was so passionate and was so well versed in using the F-word. lol

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

Lobbying isn't lobbying

Lobbying isn't lobbying anymore it is bribery...!!! If you can't influence someone with your words then you shouldn't be able to use money to buy their vote...! We can separate this idea of bribery and I believe that is what is the idea here with business and state being searated... We could also eliminate Super Packs in the elections and have just a set $2,500.00 max. donation for everyone... No $30,000.00 a plate dinners either...! Anything that gets you more that the Max $2,500.00 per person donation would be illegal... This can be done... How do we know it can...!? Look at the elections for the 1st 200 yrs of this nation...! This kind of stuff was not tolerated back then and should not be tolerated now...!
We should be electing people based off their ideas, past actions in office, etc. instead of the media and $$$, and as far as I'm concerned the media should do elections and their advertising for free or at least very discounted because it is for this country and not their pockets...! In order for that to work we need free enterprise and not one man owning everything... This monopoly of the media was not possible without lobbying/bribery of our government officials and agencies set up by our bribed officials in order to create the monopoly...

I believe if Ron is elected we will see the begining of the end to all of this bribery and monopoly crap...!

If this was in action right now no one would be able to beat Ron Paul in fundraising period...! :-)

So it just goes to show that the people would have control again if the bribery wasn't present in our government...!

This is the message the protesters need to hear and see with open eyes...!

Ron Paul needs to give some

Ron Paul needs to give some speeches at one of these rallies and educate the leftists about what is ACTUALLY contributing to the current poverty. I think he'll be able to harness a lot of votes in those that are still oblivious to the the real issues and believe in the two party paradigm (especially the leftist-democrats)...

Just trying to Capture the middle class for Obama.

They want Ron's fire for the General.
Clinton put them up to it.

They are NOT our friends. A Zebra doesn 't change stipes over nite.

He Heralds Ron Paul

Check out what he said in an email I just got.

"I agree with their principle, I don’t know what will become of their movement, but I know I want to help them because I agree with them. I also agree with Ron Paul, Lawrence Lessig’s #rootstrikers and millions of other disgusted and disenfranchised American’s who know that their government is bought and are mad as hell about it."

We should send him and...

... open letter. The solution is much simpler. Just vote for the candidate that gets donations from the most people in the smallest denominations. he alone can represent We the People. Do not vote for someone who takes money from corporations. Just vote for Ron Paul. let's see how well the country runs when a Constitutionalists is in charge. No need for amendments - just RON PAUL!

While money does corrupt

While money does corrupt politics, I never hear leftists complain about George Soros buying socialist politicians. Nor do leftists complain about unions buying politicians.

The only politician I know who is not for sale is Ron Paul. I do disagree with Ron Paul on some issues but I know that even if I could give a million dollars to his campaign and put a few hundred thousand dollars of graft into his personal bank account Ron Paul wouldn't change his positions one inch.

BobW,

your post speaks volumes of truth re: Ron Paul and your candor is refreshing.

I simply had to stop and give your post recognition.

"For having lived long, I have experienced many instances of being obliged, by better information or fuller consideration, to change opinions, even on important subjects, which I once thought right but found to be otherwise." - Benjamin Franklin

I'm sure he has a simple

I'm sure he has a simple solution. Take away freedom of speech in politics and stop letting people donate to candidates. So nobody can try to get honest, intelligent, and decent people elected. Great idea lol

Wonder if....

Dylan can follow the logic here and repeat after me?

"Let's get the money out of politics"

Now Dylan: ................

"In order to do that we have to get rid of politics"

Now Dylan: ................

"In order to get rid of politics we must be willing to abolish the state and all that this implies"

Now Dylan: No, I can't do that.

Moral of the story? Dylan doesn't really want the money out of politics or anything else. He simply doesn't want those who oppose his political leanings to be on a level-playing field.

It's funny how people here

It's funny how people here seemingly understand that you can't ever fully eradicate lobbying (and attempting to do so will only increase its power), but the moment you mention term limits to any tea party audience, whether it's full of Paul supporters are not, all hands in the room go up in favor of it.

Never forget:

To disagree, one doesn't have to be disagreeable.

That was too obnoxious to listen.

Do they stupidly repeat everything he says all the way through? I could only listen to the first four sentences.

they are repeating because the police won't let

them have megaphones. The ppl in the front repeat what a person says so the ppl in the back can hear.

Michael Moore talked about it on Democracy Now! last week.

In freedom, people have diverse styles.

The only way liberty works is to develop tolerance for a wide variety of approaches so long as they are peaceful.

The path to freedom is not going to be a straight line following Dr. Paul's wise logic. The populace is too ignorant and corrupted to hear truth clearly through all of their conditioning. But the freedom movement has a chance to gain influence because we do know history and economics, and have an ethical base that brooks no assaults: the merger of peace and liberty essential for any long term solution.

yeah pft dumb people trying to be a pa system for the people in the back that cannot hear him..

What , get money out of politics

and replace it with Communism?
they ALWAYS sound good.

If the constitution would be enforced money would not be in politics. The Elite communists created the switch.

Money will be in politics

Money will be in politics as long as power remains in politics. This is the reason we were not set up as a direct democracy. This is why libertarians are not the same as the left, and this is what the left either doesn't understand or doesn't want to because they like to be the ones holding the gun at the end of the day.

Seperate business from state

Seperate business from state is a very good concept, that can fit an entire audience with a multitude of believes.

this will backfire

We all know that chroni politicians get their money from more than just donations. They have resources. TONS of them.

If they prevent donations, grassroots politicians will never have a chance.

"I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove."

As if the grassroots

As if the grassroots politicians have a chance now.

Dylan should instead focus on

Dylan should instead focus on ending the monopoly of creating money if he wants a simple solution to make all of our problems go POOF!!!

How about opencompetionofcurrency.com or freethemoney.com...

Their amendment is silly...

What's to stop politicians from being bribed in secret? Corporations could easily open up offshore accounts to bribe politicians and nobody would even know about it...

Also, what if corporations start bribing politicians with real estate or private jet use?

Dylan, as long as the government has a monopoly on force, greedy people will ALWAYS bribe and own government no matter what regulations or amendments you pass into law...

If you want to separate business and government you have to remove the magnet that brings business and government together. That magnet is government power.

Reduce the government's power over our lives, you reduce the desire for greedy people to control our government. Period. End of story.

Remember, FedEx and Apple CAN'T bring thugs with guns to my house and steal my belongings and money however the government CAN send thugs with guns to my house and steal my belongings and money!

I hope you concentrate on the Magnet (the source) of corporatism: Government Power!

I am very glad you posted

I am very glad you posted this. At the prodding of a progressive friend I went to http://www.getmoneyout.com/ and read the proposed amendment to the Constitution 4 days ago. I was meaning to post something, but had not found much else available until I saw this vid.

In it's current form I can not support it because it also restricts the liberty of individuals to support their candidates. Under this amendment, I could no longer donate money to Ron Paul for example. However, Dylan did say that it is a work in progress, and that he would be having Congressman Ron Paul on soon to discuss it.

Therefore, I am hopeful this Amendment could evolve into something beneficial towards crushing corporatism in our government, but like the NY General Assembly's demands for Congress, it needs work.

EDIT: I just saw the 2nd link and I gotta say I really liked Dylan's response to Luke. Dylan is right to want to limit the focus on this to just getting rid of corporatism. My problem with the Occupy Wall st. thing is they are going for broke on their socialist agenda. Their demands are much more than just Dylans. If the Wall st. occupiers limit their scope to separating business and state, then I can support it.
