All Enemies; Foreign and Domestic: New Jersey State Constitution 1941 vs. 1947

Hey everyone! Hope your all well.

Been a while sense I've posted but I found something pretty amazing that I'd like to share with all of you when comparing two different Constitutions. In this case we are comparing Article I New Jersey 1941 Constitution with the modified 1947 Constitution. While only a handful of years apart there isn't much difference between the two on their faces, but upon closer examination reveals the opposite. There is one clause specifically which I think its the most insightful and exciting to read and understand. Also to note: it is very difficult to find a copy of the 1941 Constitution.

1941;
Points 18&19
19- No county, city, borough, town, township or village shall hereafter give any money or property,or loan its money or credit, to or in aid of any individual association or corporation, or become security for or be directly or indirectly the owner of any stock or bonds of any association or corporation.

20- No donation of land or appropriation of money shall be made by the state or any municipal corporation to or for the use of any society, association, or corporation whatever

1947

19 & 20 have been thrown out and replaced with;

22;1947. A victim of a crime shall be treated with fairness, compassion and respect by the criminal justice system. A victim of a crime shall not be denied the right to be present at public judicial proceedings except when, prior to completing testimony as a witness, the victim is properly sequestered in accordance with law or the Rules Governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey. A victim of a crime shall be entitled to those rights and remedies as may be provided by the Legislature. For the purposes of this paragraph, "victim of a crime" means: a) a person who has suffered physical or psychological injury or has incurred loss of or damage to personal or real property as a result of a crime or an incident involving another person operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and b) the spouse, parent, legal guardian, grandparent, child or sibling of the decedent in the case of a criminal homicide.

'Municipal Courts of New Jersey
Independence - Integrity - Fairness - Quality Service
Established 1948' [Coincidence?]

What exactly happened to our 'Court System' in 1948..?

Another Gem was reading the Permanet Statutes Database starting here; http://lis.njleg.state.nj.us/cgi-bin/om_isapi.dll?clientID=137104381&Depth=2&depth=2&expandheadings=on&headingswithhits=on&hitsperheading=on&infobase=statutes.nfo&record={4}&softpage=Doc_Frame_PG42

The first few pages are jaw dropping if you understand what your reading!

On the first page you'll see some interesting examples such as:

Person. The word "person" includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to 1 or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State.

or

Territory. The word "territory" extends to and includes any territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone.

or

United States. The words "United States" extend to and include every State, territory and possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone.

[What does the District of Columbia have to do with NJ State???]

Hope you all find this insightful, let me know what you think! ;)
