South Carolina’s Republican presidential primary will be held on Jan. 21 of next year, two GOP sources tell CNN.
South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Chad Connelly will formally announce the date later this morning.

The move is designed to put space between the South Carolina and Florida, which bucked national Republican Party rules last week and decided to hold their primary on Jan. 31.

I'll be there (currently in Iowa)

I just bought my bus ticket to South Carolina. I'll actually be meeting up with an activist (and volunteer from 2008) in Seneca around the 30th of October, hoping to rally more folks to meet-up with us and talk about how to best mobilize for the Primary. I'll then be attempting to meet up with a very mobilized group in Lexington around Dec. 14th-Dec. 16th.

Then my plan is to head to Pensacola (Florida) and mobilize their grassroots effort around Dec. 17th-20th. After that I'll be at a farm until the end of January.

I'm in all the previously mentioned meet-up groups. Contact me on there if you have any ideas or contacts in those areas.

That's 15 weeks

till SATURDAY January 21, 2012. Saturday will be good for us. Many people will be able to be poll watchers for Paul. We will also be able to station a volunteer 201 feet from the door to each polling station with a Ron Paul 2012 sign. That will be the critical day to sign wave.

Down side is that it means we have 5 fewer weeks to do canvassing/get-out-the-vote work.

There will TENTATIVELY be a state-wide volunteer meeting in Lexington on Saturday morning October 15th. Exact place and time to be determined. If you want to be on a notification list, email me at drmikevasovski@msn.com.
