and not to knock the NYPD and the work that they do but don't you think that they should have "donated" that money back to the taxpayers they "borrowed" it from in the bailouts? It's really easy to be generous with OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY! Just sayin.

Sounds like a good idea though...goes with that 'serve and protect' notion I guess. Somehow I don't think they are going to give up the gifts though.
