I believe the pledge to the flag covered a portion of this
We are The Republic for which It stands...
Ron Paul 2012
"It’s Just Us....and we all have a bought govt, and that's the problem. We have to approach those in power with courage and compassion while we change the system to one of more fairness, choice, integrity, and shared visibility. Look, a hundred years ago we killed whales if we wanted light. If the power structure that we have now was in place back then, then the whale oil guys would have bought off govt to stamp out the upstart electricity guys who changed the system of bringing light. That is the problem. It’s a problem of choice, were is the choice? Look around at the big banks, big Medicine, and even big media. It’s not evil this politician or hero that one, it’s the system and we must change it for the better, with our principles of love and compassion and fairness, and integrity and shared visibility.”
--That is my summation, an amalgam of his points & his own words & sentences"---
I found it interesting that he said the following (again an amalgam):
"The weapons of the Power structure are the group identities & small internal cultures that creates the 'Brawl' which then demands govt power responses. Our weapon is Intention and principles and working from a place of love and compassion. I think Nelson Mandela had it right and we can learn a lot from him if we want to change the system and move to a better place."

I love that he talked about "intention" and subsequently, Mandela. This revolution should be about love, and we can transcend the focus with that intention.
Ron Paul Interview with Dylan Ratigan-MSNBC

Rand Paul 2016 for Peace
Ratigan sounds more liberty minded than all of the so called conservatives in the media, radio and television included. He knows what is going on, it is obvious, and I am sure there are some limitations to how far he can speak, which I respect for his jobs sake. He definitely seems very genuine, and as far as this Occupy Wallstreet co opting us, there is no chance, we are well rooted and well educated as to what the problems are here in the USA. Don't be afraid to go to these protests and further educate these people. They obviously know there is a problem, like we all did before we came here, but luckily found Ron Paul so we knew what the problem was and is. These people are searching for solutions and a reason as to why what is happenning is happenning. We know how to educate them, let us guide them, like we were guided at one time. Let's keep it peaceful, education is the thing that the elites fear the most, violence is what they hope for because they have control over violence through the system. Information is our best weapon, because we can all spread information without the threat of violence upon ourselves. In our case, "Our words are mightier than the sword." Let us all bring what we have all learned as ammunition in this battle. Our knowledge is the key to the r3VOLution, they cannot stop our minds.
Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine
The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!
I like this guy Ratigan. Alot. He is host of a corporate news show and somehow (ratings, I'm sure) they let him maintain his independence and freedom to (mostly) say what he wants to.
He consistently attacks Corporatism - no holds barred. AND maintains that independence and non-partisan outlook while doing it.
Don't make the mistake of writing him off because he's not fully coming out in support of libertarian principles and policies.
We (many of us, anyway) have studied Mises and Rothbard and Hayak and Dr Paul and others along those lines - and we have come to the conclusion that the solution lies in maximum liberty and minimal central government.
He is not even taking it to solutions.
He is identifying the problem of crony capitalism / corporatism. And he is doing it publicly in a visible forum (MSNBC) on a regular basis. He is a real journalist.
Whereas the other 95% of the corporate press are bought and paid for actors and whore that are not only ignoring the problem, they are paid to help create and perpetuate it.
He is right about alignment.
We are aligned on the fact that we know our government is an auction. It for sale to the highest bidders, and the Fed / fiat currency is the enabling tool that perpetuates it.
We are aligned on the fact that we all desire Fairness, and there is none. (the socialists say Equality, but that's another story).
The PTB want to divide and conquer us. If we do not align with other people that are not (yet) fully sold on liberty and either ignore or fight with them - they will continue to win.
If rather we follow Dr Paul's example of cooperating on those areas where there is core alignment - ie. coalitions - we can and will get our government back within Constitutional limits.
Because we do have Truth (and the Law - the Constitution) on our side. Liberty works.
Its almost like a tsunami that came and was not allowed to break, the potentail energy is there but it's being held back by the special interests and the Fed. Ron Paul is right, the correction needs to happen before the economy will once again get back on track.
...how do you co-opt a rLOVEution?
they are so funny for trying
its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!
I don't believe this is a co opt message from Ratigan, noone could remember all that he remembered. What impressed me about Ratigan, was he admitted he could not say all he wanted to towards the end for fear of I don't know what, most likely media bosses. We are the ones who need to help co opt Occupy Wallstreet, they know something is wrong, it is our job to get in there and educate them. We are too studied at this point to be co opted, it is pure opportunity for us. Our roots are planted, are they not? We already have leaves and flowers blooming, it is time to go nurture some roots.
Just simply institute what is supposed to be, The U.S. Constitution. It places everyone on the same playing field.
GET IT Dylan?
He uses vocabulary that will escape the average person
Stand up For your Civil Rights
It means more gov't and regulation.
Am I stupid or did everyone else have difficulty figuring out exactly what the *&^% it is that Ratigan wants?????
Maybe I'm just tired today >:/
Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."
Viva La Revolucion!
the status quo will get rid of Ron Paul by absorption.
don't fall for it.
Ron is right where he wants to be. In the driver's seat.
This Occupy thing confirms Ron has both status quo parties on the run. They need the middle class and Ron has them.
these groups cannot absorb themselves, it is the r3VOLution that can absorb them in a good way. These people on Occupy Wallstreet are us minus the knowledge, plain and simple, they need educated. Dylan Ratigan was amazing if you ask me in what he said. He said all he could, and that was evident in his statement of we say what we can. Occupy Wallstreet is a very good opportunity for us Ron Paul supporters to spread knowledge, we have been preparing for a long time now. The Occupiers just need some further knowledge. Question is, are you willing to spend some time and money giving them the knowledge they need if they occupy where you live?
