First, they came for Osama,
but I didn't speak up because he had killed thousands,

Then, They passed the Patriot Act,
but I didn't speak up because I had nothing to hide,

Then, they Invaded Iraq,
but I didn't speak up because we were told they had weapons,

Then, they came for Awlaki, a citizen,
but I didn't speak out because I wasn't a terrorist,

Then they came for the protestors,
but I didn't speak out, because I wasn't a hippy protestor,

Then they came for the rioters,
but I didn't speak out, because I wasn't a rioter,

Then they came for those who support Ron Paul,
but I didn't speak out because I wasn't a crazy Ron Paul supporter,

Then they came for Tea Party,
but I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Tea Partier,

Then they came for the Republicans and Democrats,
but I didn't speak out because I was an independent,

Then they came for those who didn't obey the government,
but I didn't speak out because I obeyed,

Then they deployed the army domestically,
but I didn't speak out because I was afraid...

Then they came for me,
and there was nobody left to speak out.
