Talking points/sound bites/suggestions for Next 2 debates Oct 11 and Oct 18

I am starting this thread to compile some good suggestions of talking points that could be sent to the campaign and probably be used in the coming 2 debates. I am not saying that Ron Paul is not knowledgeable enough or anything like that, but this effort may bring about some sound bites which are the things that work in the debates.

Lets categorize the suggestions according to issues -
1)Economy, debt, federal reserve
2)Wars
3)Foreign policy, Israel, foreign aid
4)Liberties, patriot act, Al-Awlaki assassination,
5)General debate suggestions

If this thread gets enough posts, then those posts getting enough votes would be compiled and sent to the campaign. If someone has a good contact in the campaign, then he/she can take the responsibility of doing that, to make sure they see this.

Will start by putting my suggestions as comments, and keep editing until Sunday.

Herman Cain...

"Is it poor/jobless people's fault that they are poor/jobless, Herman?"

"Or is it our government's fault for creating a terrible environment for business?"

That's what I'd ask.

♫♫ You say you want a R[ƎVO˩]UTION ♫ Well you know ♫♫

paint others as jonny-come-latelies

Point out Mitt and Cain spoke out for the TARP bailout back in Oct of 07.

When Bachmann says she voted against the debt ceiling increase, Ron needs to say that in his 12 terms the vote has come up XX times and XX times he voted no.

If Gingrich says to audit the FED, ask why when he was the speaker of the house he didn't do anything to shine light on the FED.

General points

1) Be more assertive in demanding time and rebuttal when you disagree with the policy or answers of others.
2) If left out on an important question, then after answering the "gotcha" question, please go back to answering the major missed question. Even mention that such an important question was NOT put to him.

Personal Liberties

1) How many other candidates voted FOR the Patriot Act ? and why ?
2) Al-awlaki - Adolf Eichman example is already good, and in his interview with Megyn Kelly she said of some instance where german spies (one of whom was American citizen) was tried in a Military court before execution. 2 differences from current situation - there was a DECLARED war with Germany, and they were TRIED, though in a mililtary court.

Healthcare/Medicare/Social security

Examples from any states/countries with free market policies compared to those that have gone bust trying to be socialist.

Foreign policy

1) Example of other free and prosperous countries which are not attacked by terrorists, because they are not interfering with middle eastern affairs.
2) recently RP also mentioned the case of Lebanon, how terrorism stopped when Reagan stopped his interventionism
3) If anyone calls him an "isolationist" again, tell them that what we are doing now is "isolationism" - if someone does not agree with us, or seems like a "threat" to us, we put sanctions on them. Difference between non-intervention and isolationism.
4) If we are pro-Israel, why do we give aid to all the countries around it ? and Israel is a big boy, it can take care of itself !

Cain's 9-9-9 plan

something about Cain's stupid plan would be nice too. I think it overall would raise taxes on middle and lower income people. There was some video I saw, but can't find it anymore.

Economy

Since the Bloomberg debate seems to focus mostly on Economics, lets start with that -
1) Give examples from real life about some other countries or a certain time in history where Free market principles were beneficial. (this is to emphasize that these things have been done/are being done and are a possible solution to the current problems )
2) Say that he saw this coming and gave an address in Congress regarding the sub prime and housing bubble in 2002/2003 - probably even mention to go look for that video on youtube.
3) During last election the Govt, the media "experts" kept saying that everything is fine and there is no recession, while people like RP, Peter Schiff etc kept telling the truth, but were ignored. They are doing the same again, by not telling how far we are in the ditch and it aint gonna get better - "lemme tell ya" !!
