I agree with most everything Dustin said, except...

The Tea Party DID NOT start in 2009. The Tea Party started in 2007 & 2008 with Ron Paul. There are videos on Youtube to prove this.

Great job Dustin! Real proud

Great job Dustin! Real proud to see you on there.

Nice job especially on your

Nice job... especially on your closing remark!

The Tea Party Express

is a neocon circus sideshow travelling the country, I met them, too much garbage mixed in reality with that crew. In fact I confronted one of the ladies running it and asked her why she did not bring up the Nonfederal Reserve to much silence. Tea Pary Express is a train that needs to run out of track.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

very

well done =]

Nice jab at MSNBC and Maddow

.

Whew! Scared me there for a minute...

I thought that other idiot was the DP member.

Go Dustin!

Fed Reserve vs Wall Street - Countrywide vs Wall Street

I agree it was a nice interview and I agree not ALL the protestors are socialist, only the great great majority.

If they really know the truth why aren't they protesting at the Fed or Wells Fargo Corp offices? Why Wall Street? This is 90% a socialist rally.

99% socialist.

I think that's the more likely origin of their use of the "99%" term that they like to throw around.
The left always wants to imply that they are "everyone, everywhere" to appear like they are important. With the exception of whichever "evil capitalist pigs" that they happen to be waging class warfare against at any given time. It's a common theme with all leftists to imply that they are the majority, even when they are not(but lie about it), because they think in collectivist terms for ruling.

I honestly in my heart do not

I honestly in my heart do not believe the OWS crowd is for less government - I just don't. And it doesn't matter if we can't convince GOP primary voters we don't have a chance. And if we don't win the Republic is gone, period. Cain, Romney or Perry won't do a thing about the Fed or the debt. They just won't, they will say they will but they won't.

If Ron Paul supports want to focus on OWS that is their right and they should do it but I don't think it's a winning strategy.

I think the more organized

I think the more organized groups are probably union and socialists, but the majority are just riding the wave because of their dissatisfaction. If you look at America today, there always seem to something wrong yet nobody knows how to remedy, and so they are just venting.

good job--

.

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

Birds of a feather flock together.

We are inside the process of revolution. At the end of this process is conflict to decide on our political and social arrangements. When the violent part of the process arrives, there will be three opposing groups (flocks), being (1)those in power who want to remain so, (2)those with collectivist mind sets who want the plunder and control to continue, but with themselves as beneficiaries instead, and (3)those with a freedom mindset who demand limited constitutional government.

We are in the long process of forming into these "flocks" for the migration to different political arrangements, just as birds flock together in preparation for their annual migration. We who support Ron Paul are at the core of the freedom loving group. Of course it is to our advantage to influence as many as possible to join us because numbers are important, but we will never be able to sway the core of the other two groups.

If we were to infiltrate and take control of the Occupy movement, those collectivist who are unreachable would simply move on to a different group.

Our purpose should be to influence those on the periphery of the Occupy movement to our way of thinking rather than the impossible task of taking control of the their collectivist movement. We should be passing out literature, in the tradition of Thomas Paine, to the "occupy" people that helps them understand the cause of and cure for the disaster we face; some will understand, but many are unreachable. We are still in the war for minds stage of the revolution.

So both of these people being interviewed are portraying a picture of the Occupiers. They have at their core collectivist like Michael Moore, but there are those on the periphery who are confused, angry, and who could be swayed.

But we should not delude ourselves into thinking this will be settled at the voting booths, and we should each be preparing for the violent eruption that will come in due course.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

Dustin - nice job!!

Nice shot at Sal at the end.
I think Sal's "we salute our troops" statement was code for we SUPPORT the wars.

It was certainly organized by socialists.

If more Tea Partiers start showing up, it's really just an attempt to co-opt it. And going to upset the socialists. If it can be co-opted, great. But I doubt that's going to happen, because I think you're going to see it getting more and more ugly, including with violence and vandalism, and nobody but the radical left will want to be associated with it.

It's a nice thought that we can have kumbaya with the socialists, but I don't think it's going to happen.

So only the socialists

are smart enough to know when wall street banks are robbing us
into a great depression?

No.

The socialists are the only ones who are stupid enough to want it to continue.
That's why they are protesting at OWS. The only ones who can give them what they are demanding, is..... Wall Street. Because the gov't is broke, and to do what OWS demands is going to require more massive spending which means more massive borrowing.
And before you start with "lets just let the gov't print the money", that's the same thing. More borrowing, or more inflation.

The "dirty little secret" is that the socialists are the bankers best friends, because the socialists need to get that money from somewhere, and they just can't stop themselves from spending it.

BAM!

I loved how you talked about co-opting with the co-opter on the screen behind you. That was priceless!

Well done...

Good interview and thanks for posting!

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

Great job with great answers

Great job with great answers Dustin.

Great job, Dustin

I liked that you didn't turn around to watch Sal Russo talking on the screen. In my opinion, the guy isn't worth listening to...so why watch him, either.

Bravo Dustin!

Fantastic! Very well spoken. You had a little bit of time and used it very wisely. The tone, manor and content, very very good! Loved the part about how the tea party was coopted by the tea party express - direct hit.

LivingTheDream

Great thing Dustin

But that other guy Sal was a plain old NeoCon pretending to be up to date.

Good job, Dustin! You looked

Good job, Dustin! You looked and sounded sensible and statesmanlike.

Good job! When you called

Good job! When you called Russo out on the co-opting of the legitimate Tea Party, I thought he was going to blow a gasket. Awesome!

"The greatest mystery of all is truth." - Me, 2009

Congrats on the interview, I

Congrats on the interview, I think you did a good job explaining the similarities between the co-opting of the Tea Party and current attempt to co-opt the Occupy crowd. Also the comparisons between the uneducated participants of the Tea Party and the uneducated of the Occupy crowd. I hope you got a crowd of Liberty supporters down their trying to educate. If so video would be cool.

I dont think Mr Tea Party Express even caught on when you swiped him with the co-opting the Tea Party jab. =)
