Gov. Jesse Ventura Attends End the Fed/ Occupy Wall St.
Submitted by Barracuda_Trader on Sat, 10/08/2011 - 08:01Former Gov. Jesse Ventura dropped by Minneapolis to support ‘Occupy’ protesters. Ventura pointed out that the face of the movement cannot be dictated by Democrats or Republicans because both parties were “bought and paid for” – and that he never took a dime in corporate money to get elected.

RP Meetups are ripe for these gatherings...

Trenton protests were launched as part of Occupy Wall Street protests.

I like this softer side of
I like this softer side of Jesse and I enjoyed his statements too....as far as the good doctor making an appearance....NO...NO...NO....here's what he should stick too...the message by video.....

I didn't think he was self-aggrandizing--
he was trying to make a point. Ventura, AS AN INDIVIDUAL, chose to attend.
Cool.
He's a lot of hot air, and I like him--*LOL!*
it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--
Ventura Fan
He is a friend to the revolution, and we didn't start it without him.
Count me in as one who likes Jesse Ventura.
He spoke at the Rally for the Republic and hopefully he will speak at the NEXT Rally for the Republic for Ron Paul...
Win or lose.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
I like to see Ron Paul show up at OWS.
Jesse Ventura was the first former high ranking elected official to come to this demonstration, and Ron Paul would be the first active high ranking elected official to go there.
When Jesse was a rassler
When Jesse was a professional rassler, they called him "Jesse The Body."
When he got elected governor, they started calling him "Jesse the Mouth."
Freedom is my Worship Word!
cool Jesse didn't abandon us
cool Jesse didn't abandon us
"All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. We are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death. Life is a dream and we are the imaginations of ourselves. "
Bill Hicks
So???
Get this bozo off the front page. This is a Ron Paul site.
You've been ZAMPED!!!!!!!
The Money Moment There Was...
...when Jesse asked the Politico noob reporter if he knew that every Treasury Secretary has ties to Goldman Sachs, and upon hearing "no" he says, "Well you're in the mainstream media, why don't you do your homework?"
Arapahoe County/Centennial/Denver Colorado
EPIC!
Please encourage him to go to New York and bolster the support there! He can reach out to these people like no one else can!
Portland Protest is HUGE

Way to go Jesse
Where will he fit in the Paul administration? He would probably like to be Ambassador to Mexico.
Vice President, hopefully --
Vice President, hopefully -- but he said he wouldn't do this unless RP ran as an Independent. That won't happen because RP is going to win the GOP nomination!
Went to the San Francisco Fed yesterday
There were only about 5 of us, the rest were OWS with signs like " Capitalism Doesn't Work" and " Tax The Rich". Straight out of " Atlas Shrugged". We stayed well clear of them. They were making fools out of them selves. If anyone wants to protest the Fed in San Francisco, we all suggest meeting at the Ferry building. Stay away from the OWS crowd, they will only tarnish our image.
Very poor showing for San Francisco.
The electorate of Nancy Pelosi. They
sold out any claim to righteousness long ago, backing war, torture, robbery of the productive for promises of short-term free stuff.
Thanks for your activism, Washington. I hope you can help grow the Liberty sector in that political slum.
Disappointed With The People Of Minneapolis !
Because I didn't see one Ron Paul for President in 2012, sign in that video.
beesting
J Ventura sounded like a kook
I like him and his show, but this interview, when heard for what was actually said, was self aggrandizing drivel.
He just kept saying who else is better to be here than me, talking about being the face of it, he didnt sound credible.
Lot's of quotes come to mind...
Heard only silence
when Jesse was on camera.
The rest had normal audio.
There is an audio issue
When Jesse is speaking I can only hear him in my left headphone. When the camera shows the crowd, Jesse continues speaking in the left headphone and the crowd audio is through the right headphone.
I don't always like EVERYTHING Jesse says...
But you gotta hand it to him for being honest and always sticking to his guns. He is a real patriot
Pottawattamie County Iowa
"Capitalism should not be condemned, since we haven't had capitalism." -Dr. Ron Paul
he's not even being scrutinized that closely
and already people 'don't like everything he says'
stick to what guns
If you read his book "Don't
If you read his book "Don't Start the Revolution Without Me" and watch his many interview appearances on YouTube, I think you will see what guns he is sticking to. Jesse is a friend of liberty in a way that few high officials other than RP have been.
RP campaign staff, please read this
Too bad Jesse was the first, it should have been Ron Paul. He need not endorse or say a word, just show up. Pick a few "End the Fed" signs to stand near and get a few photos. I would love to see a shot of RP LISTENING to the speakers and giving the "glad hands" applause. He can win most of the hearts and minds of the Occupation by LISTENING to them, not saying a WORD. Show the people that he counts himself among the 99%, not the 1%, simply by making an appearance.
This is quickly becoming "End The Fed." If Dr. Paul is afraid to stand up as a leader in THAT effort, he will never win the presidency. He will have to make some grand gestures to break through, at this point.
Ron Paul supports a new 9-11 investigation.

Dr.Paul has already made his
Dr.Paul has already made his statements on video....I agree with the others....he should NOT go down there....too many media whores are trying to make this look like a BAD movement.....he needs to stick with his message and say he supports that part of the movement...
Nader, Ron Paul, Kucinich Speak to Occupy Wall Street
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCFk36B8nS0
Ron Paul is right to stay away
This is NOT the place for Ron Paul. Far too many socialist, anti-capitalist signs. It would be political suicide for him to appear anywhere near the OWS crowd.
AGREED!
That will not happen!
Debbie
Perhaps a personal appearance would be
helpful, though I think he can accomplish nearly as much by speaking forthrightly in the media to the points you raise, making the point of the 99% with valid concerns they can agree on, commending those who resist co-opting by special interests. And of course defending all peaceful demonstrations and free speech.
rp is running in the REPUBLICAN primary..
i know criticism just tends to gloss over your head as you carry on to do the same old thing, but please don't pass this glibness on to the rp campaign.. what you throw around here guised as advice most of the time will only hurt them. they need a lot deeper thoughts than what you have been offering
