A new TACTIC! Online polls and news.

My friends,

It is time for us to drive the news and the polls!

This is how we do it.

From this point forward, the first person that sees a negative poll or news article comes to the DP and gives a synopsis of it. We take that into account and DON'T repond. Let them do what they want. Who cares? We are winning and it is killing them.

Write the whole article out minus the last word but you must give credit to the author and the source you received it from. Even give a link but, DON"T click on it. No more answering polls. No more answering adverse articles. Michael, You can help us know if this will keep the DP safe. ( God knows I don't want the DP to suffer)

Good articles: Go and answer with ALL the force we can. Every RP supporter should give praise to these type of articles. Polite and with appreciation.

What does this accomplish?

The bad S*&t gets NO TRAFFIC! LoL! Without traffic they fail to make FRN's. Without FRN's they go out of business. I understand this will be hard for everyone but if we try this for just 3 weeks I promise their $'s will decrease and things will change.

They will ALL start to recognize the good doctor in a different light. If not then screw them and we win anyway. Be a DELEGATE! I am!

Actually, it's not hard at all. The hard part is getting others to think this way. Thanks for making the effort!

THE MORE I LEARN ABOUT GOVERNMENT
THE MORE I LOVE MY GUNS

On issues like this, I follow Ron Paul's lead

I've wanted to freeze the MSM out for years, but if Ron Paul judges that he needs to show up on MSM outlets every other day to drive his point, I will support him.

I don't watch the MSM directly (no need in needlessly making them money)...just through YouTube or some other internet medium. Also, I will continue to vote for RP online.

However, I perfectly understand where the OP is coming from. The MSM is destructive environment that ultimately depresses everyone who watches it. I cannot wait to get away from it...and I do so for the most part. Hopefully, enough people will get away that, indeed, the shows dry up financially and blow away. But honestly, these shows are probably government sponsered, so they'll be here until we take over the government.

Strongly Disagree

I became more interested in Ron Paul after a debate in 2007 when I saw comment after comment after comment mentioning him. I'm sure I am not the only one.

Someone asked me to watch his videos

but I am elated every time I go to a website and see people fighting for him. He deserves that, he's been fighting for us for most of his life.

It's not time for tricks or gimmicks. It's time to fight.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

One way, one word.

We could flood the comment sections with one word, like blackout, or something only we get, which keeps the people and the media guessing, which makes them more curious. But it has to mean something. A symbol word.

Then some people will inevitably look into it. First they say "who are they, and why the Hell are they just saying blackout?". Then they figure out it's Ron Paul's supporters, and they wonder, "why are Ron Paul supporters just saying blackout, and they all seem to be on the same page?"

Then they find out. "Black-out" "Marginalized" somebody can refine this and make it better. This is my rough draft.

Our complex arguments, to them, are like saying blah blah blah. We need to simplify, and repetition is how you break through to the subconscious. We know we have the numbers to make it work if we want to.

Why not educate?

What is better? Not to say anything or educate their readers? I think education is how we are starting to win.

To say something

is always better than saying nothing. I do agree that saying it in a positive, instead of negative way, is the best idea.

I do not agree that saying

I do not agree that saying something is better than saying nothing all the time. Too often have I seen the idiotic Ron Paul supporters (which is not most obviously) go on other websites and post "You're all sheep supporting evil neocon corporatist bankster whores. Vote Ron Paul 2012." That crap doesn't help us at all.

If you'll notice

the last line of my comment.

I saw your last line. You

I saw your last line. You said saying something in a positive way is better than saying something in a negative way. You also said saying something is always better than saying nothing. I do not agree with the latter premise.

Uh no..

I said "notice my last line" but those two line depended on each other.

I'm not condoning just anything. You're reading it wrong. Please don't argue with me over what I meant. I know what I said and what I meant.

You said, "To say something

You said, "To say something is always better than saying nothing." There's no way to spin that. It means what it means. This isn't a big deal, I was just pointing out a disagreement. If that's not what you meant, you should have phrased it differently.

Sure but

If you follow my intent with the second line and not take each sentence out of context when they were meant to go together, we possibly wouldn't be talking about this.

When I said notice my second line I was hoping you'd put the two together as they were supposed to be.

And no I shouldn't have done anything other than what I did. The two lines obviously go together.

It's cool though, you're welcome to disagree.

Youre probably right

but one thing is for sure- we NEED to stop letting our egos get the best of us by allowing ourselves to get baited into nasty, name-calling flame wars.

Flame wars....

Can be one sided if you act nicely towards others. If the other side starts to call you stupid without evidence to back up their claim - people will recognize that.

Then here is a positive article

Ron Paul Wins 2011 Values Voter Straw Poll

h ttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/08/ron-paul-2011-values-voter-straw-poll_n_1001575.html?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl2|sec1_lnk2|102740

They Ignore RP

So let's ignore them for 2 or three weeks. I think that might work. Maybe make a statement that like is suggested below. That we refuse to comment anylonger. They know dang well we'll comment on a bad article. It makes them laugh. So let's make them ask, "What the H--- is going on with those supporters? BLACK THEM OUT! HA!

Second thought, why not comment with "Consider your article "Blacked Out" by this Ron Paul Supporter.

Or comment only "Black This Out" and everyone follow suit.... they'll have hundreds of commenters with nothing but "Black This Out".

We just have to do something different. We've tried informing the uninformed in those comment sections, and exactly how many have come over to RP? Does anyone know anyone that has come over from a stupid MSM article? I sure don't.

Sounds PERFECT

Simple. Elegant. "Black this out". There would be so many "Black this out"s from just the DP gang alone that it wouldnt go unnoticed. The only comment from RP supporters should be in response to posts that ask; "What does "Black this out" mean? And the reply should be short and sweet- no argument, no baiting- just simply "Ron Paul supporters do that now whenever they see anti-Ron Paul bias in the media".

Debbie's picture

I don't think we need to make any statement. Our statement will

be made by withdrawing our consent. Don't contribute any more. People who attack us or write negative stuff are parasitic. They should be BLACKED OUT as you said!

Debbie

Sorry Debbie but I adamantly disagree

You don't win a political war of any kind by retreating from sight. Don't fool yourself into thinking this is anything but a war for peoples minds.

I've shut down a couple of negative conversations with facts about Dr.Paul.

One blog was going on about how unelectable he was and many were attacking him over it.

I simply pasted the MSNBC link where he had won by an overwhelming amount out of over 220,000 votes and they hushed.

Ya know, sometimes the information we impart to others may be the only positive info they get because they aren't always looking. So many people go with who they like on the surface and have no idea of who they are cheering for.

I think it's potentially dangerous to adopt a mindset of pulling back at a time like this.

That is good. I wouldn't bother trying to write to the actual

attack dog authors of the hit pieces though. They are already bought and paid for. On another thread here, a couple people wrote the reporter and just got back a form letter saying "Don't shoot the messenger" - totally irresponsible and a waste of time.

Debbie

I even disagree a little with that.

Sure you're probably not going to change their minds but you are standing up. Who knows what may happen because of letters if enough people do it.

How long has Dr.Paul stood in the face of people who weren't seemingly responsive and those who ridiculed him?

He never gave up. I won't either and I won't allow them to to even entertain the idea that I will either.

I thought of that,

I thought of that, actually..and you are probably right. If someone goes to a positive article about Ron, he may be more interested..BUT the ones who go to a negative one may be hoping someone says something that changes their mind..I dunno..

cripes this was supposed to be a reply to someone and it ended up on top..sheesh. srry

Debbie's picture

No problem :) I can understand wanting to change someone's

mind of course, but I think the number of times you change someone's mind who is attacking or printing negative stuff is probably very small, if any. I think we will get more bang for our buck if we work together with others who want liberty. We will have strength in numbers.

Debbie

Debbie's picture

I think this is an absolutely great idea!! But why do we need

to post the articles here at all? That will only get people riled up for no reason. I say just ignore 'em, period! They are a distraction and waste of time.

Starve 'em for the attention they crave, and put all our energy on positive efforts that will pay off!

Debbie

Well, there are many "pro"s

Well, there are many "pro"s to this, but a "con" I can think of. It is the fact that no RP person will come on and try to "educate" anyone, and wake them up! On the other hand, I suppose they would get tired of agreeing with each other how crappy Ron is, and just stop going there. I see the point. It would actually be quite hysterical if suddenly the internet is devoid of all RP supporters whilst we just keep doing more to get boots on the ground voters..LOL..I dunno..
Suddenly, NO internet presence. No RP supporters come. Nada..blank..then someone writes a good article ..BAM thousands of people come out of NOWHERE to comment on how great he is..lol..It WOULD be funny..

Yeah that Con

is a big fucking con. The idea that we shouldn't defend a liberty leader nor try to educate or refute an incorrect claim in such an important time is off it's rocker.

I'm sure he or she meant well but bad idea.

There are still good articles to be found daily

so our presence would only be missing for the bad/smeary articles. The 'good' articles would be a better place to inform / educate anyway. When the climate is negative in the comments sections of bad articles, the inform/educate thing gets lost in flame wars and everyone just looks immature anyway. Regardless of what anyone else does, I'm going to start doing that anyway. On the good articles I'll engage in productive, reasoned conversation. On the bad ones I'm going to simply paste my mantra: 'This is another article that serves only to marginalize Ron Paul and contains no truth- in [8] more days I will refrain from commenting at all' or something like that. Kind of sounds silly & childish, but so is giving the 3rd place winner of a straw poll more ink than the 1st place winner.

That's kind of my point Jinc.

It might be better if something was said. We have to keep in mind that new people might be logging on for the first time and others as well that might be sick of the crap. One comment may be all it would take to get someone to take a minute to learn about him.

One comment is all it took for me to watch a video of him and from there I was sold on his message and him.

'It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.'

It's our job to do the above. Dr.Paul, for all he's done and is capable of, still needs our help. It's our American duty to do so and I'm not just saying that, I believe it to be truth, if we believe in liberty.

I think Debbie's right above

It doesn't make sense to me to refrain from commenting by commenting. They still get their views and comments numbers - they don't care what the comments say. I think silence is louder than an attempt at stock phrases.
