Locally, OWS = HCEC
Submitted by Idea Factory on Tue, 10/11/2011 - 11:09I say this based on my experience attending the local OWS chapter here that, despite their best intentions, they're unwittingly becoming the "Herman Cain Election Committee" (HCEC) since all they do is prop up and reinforce the status quo b.s.
There are some in there interested about the Fed, but the majority seem hung up on things that have nothing to do with unemployment and student loans which is what drew my interest to attend.
I think I'm going to organize with all the other RPers in my area and launch an "Occupy The Fed" (OTF) chapter and post up nearby OWS.
That way we are in proximity for educating people, but can clearly separate our views from a lot of the nonsense in OWS.
OTF stands for "Auditing the Fed and Sound Money through Currency Competition." The local OWS chapter here can't even decide how to define the term "message"

I was at our local Sign Bomb yesterday and the vast majority of responses from cars going by was supportive with only a few "You Don't Know What You're Talking About!" Shouts.
The "You Don't Know" comments are what need to be addressed because many have the automatic response to shut down once they see Ron Paul's name affiliated with something.
Putting major emphasis on the Fed puts the knowledge up front and from there the newly educated will recognize how correct RP is and what a threat others such as Herman Cain are.
