I will never vote for Obama, you must be crazy.

Obama and I are the same age. As a young man I joined the Navy and served 20 years [19.5 as a Navy SEAL]. While I was completing SEAL training, Obama was snorting coke and attending marxist rallies at Ocidental College. Furthermore, on summer break [while I was deployed down range] Obama then traveled to Pakistan. The problem with this scenario is that Pakistan [like Cuba] was off limits to travel to American citizens. Nobody questions how it was Obama was able to travel to Pakistan like that. Nobody questions the idea that a card carrying member of the Communist Party USA was Obama's mentor from the age of 10 on. His name is Frank Marshal Davis, who has connections to Chicago etc. Sure, go ahead and vote for Obama, you will really be sticking it too the Republicans wont you? The only one you will be sticking it too is the rest of us. If Ron Paul does not get the nomination, Gary Johnson is sitting there as a 3rd party alternative, but Obama, heck no.

You know what I say to that?

Also A Navy VET. Thank you

▶ ▶ Ron Paul Is Already Beating Obama

roughly half of Paul’s primary supporters are Democrats or independents is probably an asset in selling his general election viability, which his fellow Republicans have frequently called into question. In a recent CNN survey that polled hypothetical head-to-heads between Obama and Paul, Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann and Newt Gingrich respectively, Paul tied Romney in performing best against the President in large part because he outperformed all the other GOP candidates among Democrats, independents, 18- to 34-year-olds and non-white voters....

REPUBLICANS DONT WIN W/OUT RP SUPPORT and I'm not supporting ANYONE ELSE !! SO They better come this way..... or its four more of this OBAMA DISASTER

The Republican National Committee

Would rather have Obama then Ron Paul ... its Ok because we are joining their club in mass and we will soon own this party and send all them Statists weeping to their mommies

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

Romney can not beat Obama.....

without OUR vote. For that matter none of the other candidates can either. They are UNELECTABLE in the general election. So, Republicans need to choose, it is either Obama or Ron Paul! Ron Paul is the ONLY Republican that can defeat Obama! Ron Paul supporters will NOT vote for any other candidate PERIOD!

But they WANT Obama

or someone that can be controlled like Obama. It really doesn't matter just as long as it's not someone that's an independent thinker.

Hell yes!

Never vote for anyone you

Never vote for anyone you dont agree with, it will look like and be spun to appear that they really have support. There is nothing wrong with no vote at all if there is no viable choice. Also everyone better understand....they would MUCH rather have Obama than Dr. Paul. there is no difference in the parties anymore, its one of the main things the good Dr. points out.

Ron Paul Is the Only Republican Who Will Get My Vote

If he is not selected, I will either vote for him as an independent/third party candidate, or vote for another decent independent/third party candidate (probably Constitution Party).

If the Republicans nominate anyone else, they've lost me. Period. They're not going to frighten me by using Obama as a bogeyman.

If Paul is not the nominee or

If Paul is not the nominee or runs 3rd party we should support gary Johnson with the same vigor and fortitude we supported Paul, and this will defat any republican nominee and still voting our conscience.

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

As conservatives, we will

As conservatives, we will always support the most conservative candidate. The most conservative candidate running, Ron Paul, is running on the Republican ticket. If he is not nominated, we have no choice but to vote for the second most conservative candidate, Barack Obama; unfortunately, he is running on the Democratic ticket, so we will not be available to support your party this time around if you are unable to provide us with a conservative nominee.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Give us Ron Paul or you can have Obama for 4 more!

I couldn't agree more. We need to punish these NeoCons.

Stupid attitude to take

Your vote is not something to be used for vengeance of some perceived wrong. Just study the candidates and vote for who you feel is the most qualified and represents your beliefs. Whoever that happens to be, mark it down and submit it. This idea that you are "getting somebody back" by supporting someone you dont really even support is stupid. Vote for who you believe in, win or lose, they need to know how many people support their ideas. It could be the difference between someone giving it another shot and giving up altogether. Thats why not voting is just as stupid to me. You are basically throwing up the white flag and declaring "my beliefs are too unpopular to win, I give up". Dont give up, get out there and fight for what you believe in. If anyone can be an example, just look at Ron Paul. He could have gave up, believing he could never influence anyone on a national level after 1988, but he didn't and he's still plugging away doing his damndest.

Maybe I've Misunderstood

...but I don't think that's the intention here. What IS being communicated (however ineffectively) is that if anyone other than Ron receives the Republican nomination, we will desert in droves and either vote for him as an independent/3rd party nominee, someone else, or just plain not vote.

If large numbers of voters do this, the neocon nominee would not get anywhere near enough support, and we'd wind up seeing McCain/Palin 2012.

I have been using this motto at work now and it is really...

...pissing off my establishment republican collegues.

They say they will vote for whoever the RNC nominates.

They haven't learned a thing but I'm standing my ground.

I want some bumper stickers made up..."Give us Ron Paul in 2012 - Or we'll give you Obama"

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Let It All Hang Out

I think my subject line was popular back in the 60's and 70's. Anyway...
This DPer supported and voted Ronald Reagan every time he was on the ballot in Wisconsin.
Wrote-in Ron Paul on November 4, 2008. Will support and vote Ron Paul 2012 till the cows come home. Heaven forbid if some neocon gets the Republican nomination in 2012...
I would support/vote none other than R. J. Harris in the general election. Not Obama.

“The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them.”

– Thomas Jefferson

Bravo Jaseed!

The only other one running who I would support is Gary Johnson, and Ron Paul would have a better chance at the nomination than him anyway.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

We will know where we stand after the

primaries. No Ron Paul? Hand the next congressional election to the the (so called) democrats and destroy the republican party in the process. They will be gutted without us. The democrats (especially under Obombya) will bring so much chaos to the country that a revolution will be certain.

Can't you guys participate 100% without expectation of winning

It's about the Pub Education RP gives not about actually "believing" that a "rigged" system is not-rigged and that he will actually get in.

This is why I only donate and vote for RP and will not vote or donate again (nor have I for anyone else since '88).

I was 18 in '88 and RP was my one and only vote -- then I voted again in 2008 and will once more in 2012.

My vote and donation is not because I believe he'll get elected (nor would I wish that on him) but it's an opportunity for a public education -- I said this a lot in '08 but many of you get your "heart" broken up over it.

He's not going to win -- If you believe we live in #1 a rigged system or #2 that there are puppet masters in charge and the president is and has been a powerless figure-head then where do you lose that train-of-thought (perform a reversal) and come out thinking "yes, he can win, and do well under corporatism because the president does control everything."

Both of those sentiments have been expressed on DP and Reddit and other sites for years now but "we" seem to forget it when RP actually runs.

Imagine if we "got it" and focused 100% on the Pub Ed and cared less about Face-Time or how RP's being treated -- it should be about how "our message" is being treated and we should be mature enough to know that "fairness" does not exist under Corporatism.

Donate to RP to the full limit and Be okay that his "winning" already by getting the message out.

The president is not the fault of the economy
---We pay into the system (taxes)
---We buy products from corporatists
---We are 90% of the economy

There is no "evil they" we are the Abdicators of Consumer-Sovereignty -- less you believe "self-rule" is granted and taken away by groupists.

What is the point of all the Pub Education if we

can not expect it to be used it to make change? At some point we will HAVE to send our guy in to represent the majority. The "peaceful" change process can only be carried out with our vote! We need to EXPECT a win!

~Your perception becomes your reality~

This is my first election. As

This is my first election. As such, I don't want to give a protest vote to Obama.

In the previous election, I knew as early as Jan/Feb 2007 that Obama was destined to win. So I didn't follow the Repubs much. Despite being a committed Republican since the age of 3. (Yeah)

When it turned out that McCain got the nomination, I was so horrified at this prospect, that I almost supported Obama. At that time, I hardly knew who Ron Paul was, or that Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin were even in the race. Had I gone to vote in 2008, I would have probably voted for Obama as I'm committed to High-Speed Rail. I took his pledge to end the war in Iraq with a grain of salt, but I didn't expect much from Obama. I thought he'd just have a H.W. Bush type Presidency where he continued most of what his predecessor did in a slightly different/unique manner. I really thought Obama would just be a third Bush term. Little did I know about Pelosicare (falsely called Obamacare) at the time. Nor did I anticipate High-speed rail FAILING so easily!

As a Californian, I know my vote matters little. Whether I vote for the Republican, or the other candidates, my state will always enslave itself to the new Dem.

I will be voting for Ron Paul AS A REPUBLICAN next year.
I want to see who will be the nominees of the LP, CP, GP and if there will be Independents.

Once the field is narrow, I would vote this way:
Dem - Obama
Rep - Romney
LP - Good nominee
CP - Decent nominee
GP - Good nominee
No independents

If that were the field. I'd probably vote LP, mainly because I'm pro-choice, so the CP nominee will turn me off a bit, like Baldwin did.

I'd write in Dr. Paul only if all the candidates were just decent or evil. (Obama and Romney would definitely be in the evil camp)

I like the idea of High speed rail

When I was stationed in S, Korea I rode on a train that went 180 m.p.h. This is a project that could create millions of jobs.Would decongest our highways and eventually pay for itself. Also be great for tourism like trains are in Europe. Its to bad most people are so short sighted on this issue. Im going to bring this up at my next OWS meeting.

Every point you've just made

Every point you've just made is irrational and exactly what Ron Paul, and I, are fighting... Wasteful, big government projects that should be addressed by the private sector or not at all.

say what you mean !

what you are talking about is not "pro-choice". "choice" is a general term that applies to all decision making. why do you use the language of "progressives"(marxists) who try to cover up the truth with deceptive terminology such as "contributions", instead of directly saying forced taxation? what you are is pro-killing, so just say so. dr. paul is just as pro-life as baldwin, so why the double standard??
