2012 GOP Race shaped entirely around ignoring Ron Paul

The entire GOP Race and media coverage of it is focused around one thing, that is ignoring Ron Paul.

They have to manufacture multiple candidates just to keep him down.

It started with Bachmann, she imploded. Ron moved up.

So they introduce Perry. Perry imploded Ron moved up.

Then they try to get Christie to run, he didn't.

So they take Herman Cain, focus a tsunami of media attention on an insignificant straw poll that only 2 candidates participated in and cost $170 to vote in. They purposely push him as the new flavor of the month, they create him out of nothing, and ignore Ron Paul and his 2 important recent straw poll wins.

If that wasn't bad enough, I wake up this morning and the headline on Drudge is Gingrich! He has at the top of the page, a picture of Gingrich and a link to a poll showing Gingrich as the new 3rd place candidate! This poll puts Ron in 5th place, where we were 4 years ago! It's completely absurd!

The media is way beyond just ignoring Ron, they are actively trying to destroy his candidacy. You can see this in the debates too. They purposely give questions intended for Ron to other candidates, they purposely ask questions that attempt to show him in a bad light, they purposely skip him on foreign policy segments and try to paint other candidates as the anti-war vote. They even tried to use Garry Johnson against him two debates ago.

What we have going on here is criminal! I can not stomach much more of this!

This should have come as no surprise

to the campaign. I just wish the campaign people had been better prepared to punch back with their own professional public relations efforts. It's getting late in the game, with early States in a couple of months. It's disheartening to see ole man Cain rocking the house now. They've just about pushed Ron Paul back in the closet where they want him. I'm not sure what the strategy is for the campaign. They get Ron absolutely no surrogate help in the media. I'd say the media war is about over, it's all about specific early States now. Forget National press, you've got to make news in Iowa and New Hampshire. Big wins here, and your on your way, big losses, and your on your way, too. Just not where you want to go.

The actual campaign staffers....

...want so bad to be accepted inside the beltway as "mainstream", they're making suboptimal choices based on that objective.

In other words, if they accepted what you wrote above, they'd make different choices.

I think you are spot on. It doesn't mean RP has to be presented as "alternative", but just continue to focus on his individual strengths (and OURS), beltway be damned!

It Doesn't Matter

Ron Paul is the only one the Powers fear. It doesn't matter who wins the Presidency, Democrat or Republican (there is NO difference between them) the Powers still retain control since the Powers control both parties. The President is simply a figurehead for their corruption purposely deceiving the American people that their vote, first of all matters, and secondly that there is a real distinction between the parties. My greatest fear would be that if Ron really takes this over, they will kill him. But an interesting comment from Jesse Ventura was that if Ron is President and chooses Jesse Ventura for his VP, then they wouldn't dare eliminate him because then they would have Jesse as President!

Well said!

Fortunately, an idea whose time has come cannot be stopped by any army, any government....or any media conspiracy.

It appears the

It appears the media/establishment are trying to boost everyone else in the polls so they can make a case to exclude ron paul from the debates.

And yes, they are winning. Im not even sure there is anything that can be done at this point.

People are stupid and deserve what they get. We would not be in this mess as a country if people weren't stupid and the media manipulation of the entire GOP race is just more proof.

I really hope that Dr Paul runs 3rd party with jesse Ventura. I still don't think they will win but at least he will stick it to the republican party and with someone like Vetura who is so outspoken, they will at least get the message out about how screwed up the system is.

E-Voting needs to be discussed.

I love this thread because it faces reality straight on. I think people here want to dance around the edges when we need something much stronger to combat the manipulation. We are all playing way too nice. RP needs direct action now. What is happening to this republic, what is happening to this process is so ugly, it is treasonous to the republic itself. The entire election with these fake candidates is a complete fraud. One thing that has to be addressed immediately is how are we going to win against the fraudulent E-Voting system. The voting irregularities in the last primaries were very noticeable. The e-voting system was run by criminals with criminal records, added to that it was operated by a company with it's sole allegiance to a foreign country in the early states. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I assure you I have done my homework. I used to run and operate a small telecom, and I can tell you right now that tie e-voting system is 100% rigged. They have ALL the bases covered . So even if RP does win, and he is winning, in the end if we do not remedy all of these problems soon we won't even know if he won because the system is designed from start to finish to create the reality they desire, and elect the pre-determined king. Please address the e-voting system if you want a valid election result - in the least. Goodnight, and good luck.

If Cain gets the nomination

If Cain gets the nomination I'm voting for anyone but Cain (meaning *cringe* I'll vote for a democrat or third party). I don't wanna pay a 9 percent national sales tax.

Cain's tax plan screws over new people entering the work force, especially those who just graduated. A Cain plan will eliminate the much needed school interest deduction.

I just don't get how he gets support by conservatives. Generally, conservatives oppose taxes but with Cain it is being sold as "fair." There is no such thing as a fair tax, that is like actually believing the PATRIOT act is patriotic.

Are people that stupid?

The World is Listening to Ron Paul

While our media is ignoring Ron Paul, the awakened around the world are speaking out listening and hoping.

Some of you may have heard of David Icke who is on Alex Jones, Jack Blood and Jeff Rense frequently, has Ron Paul and libertarian articles plastered all over his headlines page for Thursday. This week's David Icke newsletter could have been written by Ron Paul. There are very few government leaders worldwide who David Icke trusts or shows in a good light. Nigel Farage. Daniel Hannan. And now Ron Paul!

The David Icke Newsletter Goes Out On Sunday

"Any ‘protest’, any ‘change’ or ‘revolution’ not founded on the list below – at the very least the list below – has got no chance of changing anything. These very pillars of the system must fall or they will block any transformation of the human condition. The system does not need to be tinkered with or even fundamentally changed (on the surface). The whole bloody lot must go … starting with …

1. An end to creating money out of thin air on computer screens and charging interest on it (fractional reserve lending)."

Become a PCO - Then you are an automatic delegate for Dr. Paul.

If we don't do this politically then all the amount of blogging, screaming and complaining won't do it.

SO - the 2 things Ron Paul needs are campaign contributions and delegates.

Quietly doing these 2 things carries much more weight than worrying about the media ignoring him because if we give Dr. Paul the numbers (in money and delegates), then neither the media OR the GOP will be able to do anything more than watch and report what is happening.

That is the simple truth of it.

This country lost its liberties because most American citizens were not paying attention while those in the political process quietly took us over (mainly through taxation, anti-American un-patriot laws and flawed foreign entanglemants).

It's time for us to turn the tables on them and do the same thing - only now with getting BACK our liberties as our political goal.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

You have the wrong take on this

the media doesn't really give a rats ass who wins it as long as they get ratings (or sell papers/magazines.) To that end, they have done just as you said. They start with Mittens as front runner and when no candidate this spring got significant traction on their own, they began with the build up/knock down (or wait for implosion) reporting. Not because they like Mittens or dislike Bachman or anyone else. They do it because it keeps the money coming in and justifies their pitiful existence. Put yourself in their shoes - we live in a world of 24/7/365 tv/internet news. WTF are you going to do to fill up all that time?

What we should be happy about is that RP will either be next or last. Let's hope they do Huntsman next and us last. Though I suppose there is still time for them to try it with Sanatorium or Newt, neither of whom have any $. [I do wish Johnson well but my shoes have as much traction on ice as he does]

I really think that that major media thinks its smarter than the

American people and it is therefore intentionally trying to guide the American people into voting for a candidate that IT sees as acceptable.

It views us as children that it needs to parent,

The media thinks that citizens have no idea how far reaching a libertarian candidate who believes in limited government and limited regulation would be. Of course its not going to try to EDUCATE the public (by attempting that it would give us something we could refute). The media will instead just limit the public's choice to anybody except Ron Paul (and Gary Johnson). And it will promote its version of what it thinks a conservative SHOULD be - namely Huntsman.

At the same time I think you saw Romany and Ron Paul employ similar strategies in the last debate. Attempt to occupy high ground without giving the media sound bites to attack. Those at the pinnacle (the flavor of the month) are great shooting targets. While those at the bottom, especially if our of favor with the press, risk not being invited to the next debate.

Ron Paul didn't risk a lot in the last debate and Romney was all nicey nicey to Bachman when he had a chance to ask her a question. Both were playing less risky strategies.

IT IS a variation of the last-man-standing concept.

After everything we have seen, you do not believe there is a purposeful effort by the establishment to protect its self interests?

There is some truth in your

There is some truth in your analysis, but you’re forgetting that the major media outlets are in bed with the same forces politicians like Romney, Perry, and Cain are. Do you think GE owned NBC wants to see Ron Paul win?

Corporatism and crony capitalism rule this country and when it comes to the establish media, they need to keep the bought and paid for candidates propped up. Ron Paul’s too pure for the current system, so he must be marginalized.

media is an instrument in the hands of the status quo

MSM in America is bought...it is a joke -- reminds me of this quote:

"The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money" -- Alexis de Tocqueville

The media definitely plays

The media definitely plays their part, but a lot of it is mainstream Republicans not being willing to vote for RP, and instead just jumping from candidate to candidate. I can see this with my own dad. He's a smart guy, and he likes Ron Paul, but he has reservations about some of his social and foreign policy views, and also doesn't think he's electable. Admittedly, the media plays a role in that, but my dad realizes it, but his view is that most other people won't see that, so he shouldn't waste his vote on Ron Paul. He didn't really have a candidate at first, liked Perry for a bit, but quickly realized he was a terrible candidate, and was waiting for Sarah Palin to get in the race the whole time. I think he'll vote for Cain now, but he might vote for Romney simply because he's electable (though my dad doesn't like him very much).

Thinking like that

would never had brought the American Revolution, or thinking like that, would have had your Dad fighting for the British instead for independence.

If he's 80% with the views of Ron Paul, tell him, since our foreign policy is a total failure, why not try RP foreign policy?

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

Tell your dad,

That his kind of thinking, we would never had a revolution. If he wants to bet on a winner, just to make him feel good, and go down to the horse track and spend 2 bucks on betting on a winner. If he votes who he THINKS is electable, we will never have this country back.

Also, if he feels Ron is 80% right, then tell him that RP is 80% more correct than the other horses.

Freedom may be worth searching for.

I have given up on my fellow Americans, (not DPers) as I will not shed one more calorie trying to awaken anyone else who is not a critical thinker and does not have the inherent feeling that something is wrong.

Believe me, my brother (who's

Believe me, my brother (who's also a big RP supporter) and I have tried everything to convince him. At times, it seems like he's right there, but he refuses to take the final step. At the end of the day, he thinks Obama is an absolutely terrible president (he realizes Bush wasn't very good, but still thinks he was better than Obama) and that any of the Republicans would be a major improvement, whereas I realize that choosing between Obama and a mainstream Republican is like choosing between who is going to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, while Ron Paul has a solution to plug the hole.

The MSM is framing Cain as

The MSM is framing Cain as the “outsider”. We need to keep pointing out how he supported TARP, was a Fed insider, and loves Greenspan.

He is touted as "Tea Party favorite”. Sounds familiar…I thought Bachmann and Perry were Tea Party favorites a while back. I think Tea Party favorite is their code word for neocon warmongers. Will they try to tout Santorum or Newt as “tea party favorites” once Cain fizzles?

You guys have the perfect opportunity,

to grow our numbers.

Quit complaining, get off the damn couch, and go protest with an Occupy group near you.

The people are pissed, they want to End the Fed, and End the Wars.

Let them know who the best man is to accomplish those goals.

We need help, there is no way around it.

Once we get enough help, the tipping point will be reached, and the MSM will not dare publish any more lies, lest they be called out by the masses.

here's what im doing....

ive been telling everyone who will listen to go to you tube and do a search on "ron paul". thats how i learned most of what i know about the good doctor. i tell everyone that they will never get much information about him by listening to the news on tv, cause the lame stream media is very biased, and have their own agenda, since they are all owned by rich corprate conglomerates who stand to prosper mightily if we continue on the political path that has been failing the common man for years. i also advise them to join
thedailypaul.com in order to get new, fresh, TRUTHFUL information about him.
i believe dr. paul needs to start bringing in the headlines by pointing out all he can about crimes being committed by so many of our trusted elected officials. we have a dishonest government, running amuck, crime and corruption from top to bottom. time to "clean house", and restore honest government like our forefathers wanted. term limits to eliminate carreer politicians, and generations of politicians running things as these families get richer and more powerful.
and obama? why did we pay for two million dollar busses to help him campaign? and they were bought BY the american people FROM canada!!! is anyone else OUTRAGED by this? and all the trips and vacations he and the first family get to take while WE are told to "sacrifice?"
ron paul can instantly start getting air time by pointing out some very bad things going on, and im not worried one iota about blowback, cause i dont believe dr paul has any skeletons in his closet.

The Best Way to Campaign for Ron Paul

Right now the best way is take as many people as you can daily and switch them out every day at different major intersections. His name will be embedded in the sheeple's subconcious minds.

The Primarys

The Primarys are getting closer than we are to the primarys already New Hampshire independents have to be registered by tomorrow If they want to vote. The polls mean nothing any more. There is no media outlets out there that are credible. I just ignore them all now. Maybe if we quit voting in on line polls they would think Ron has dropped out or ran out of money.

The Low Down on all the Non-Ron Paul GOP Candidates

The research has been completed for you. All the info you need to bust out the competition.

There are only two candidates running for the GOP nomination

Ron Paul
Not Ron Paul

When a not-Ron Paul dries up and goes away, they trot out another not-Ron Paul and will continue to do so relentlessly and endlessly.

Agreed but like Ron Paul says

Agreed but like Ron Paul says don't be phased by the polls we are just going to continue what we are doing and to me it's working. Let's just hope and do what we can to win Iowa and that will be the cornerstone to a real victory for the presidency and against the media.

The bigger he gets, the worse

The bigger he gets, the worse it's going to be. It's obvious there is no hope with the media. We all have to go sign up for the phonecalling from RonPaul2012. If we all start now and call an hour a day we can reach a lot of people. They cannot censor or stop that. Most people want to know more that I talk to. Join a meetup or get one going. Boots to the ground.

Do not Pay attention
