Paul: Fox News is 'scared of me'

PLAISTOW, N.H. -- Ron Paul said the decision to exclude him from a debate on Fox News Sunday the weekend before the New Hampshire Primary is proof that the network "is scared" of him.

"They are scared of me and don't want my message to get out, but it will," Paul said in an interview at a diner here. "They are propagandists for this war and I challenge them on the notion that they are conservative."

Paul's staff said they are beginning to plan a rally that will take place at the same time the 90-minute debate will air on television. It will be taped at Saint Anselm College in Goffstown.

"They will not win this skirmish," he promised.

The Fox debate occurs less than 24 hours after two back to back Republican and Democratic debates on the same campus sponsored by ABC News, WMUR-TV and the social networking website Facebook.

Paul, the Republican Texas Congressman, was wrapping up his final day of campaigning in New Hampshire until the Iowa Caucuses on Thursday.

He spent much of the day campaigning at diners in Manchester and Plaistow and downtown walks in Derry and Exeter.

Let..

The fun begin!

Many Good Suggestions

First and foremost we must be prepared to back the official campaigns decision to have a rally at the same time the forum is airing.

Second, I like the infomercial idea to play at the same time on (at least) one other station during the forum.

Third, releasing the FEC official totals on the 5th. would be great.

This exclusion by FOX will backfire on them. Let's all be Civil and follow Ron Paul's lead. No need for attacks or other ideas that divide us. We must stick together as a team to spread the message of hope!

4th Quarter

The campaign needs to release their 4th quarter earnings on Jan 5th, not even Faux will be able to ignore this Media Blitz!!

Those jive turkeys.

You tell 'em, Dr. Paul.

Defend Liberty!

The skirmish is officiallly ON

Stand up NOW

Let's compete!

I don't have time to wade through all the threads, but the ones I have read do not mention what I would consider to be a viable counter-attack to Dr. Paul's exclusion from the Fox "thing". My suggestion would be to purchase TV time on another channel with a Ron Paul infomerical at the same time that Fox is airing their "thing". My bet is that Dr. Paul's informerical would attract more viewers. And, I think it would be more cost-effective and have the ability to reach more undecided voters, rather than "singing to the choir".

"Nothing is as it appears; everything is smoke and mirrors"

Sounds better all the time!

Having our own debate sounds better all the time. I think it is a much better idea than a rally which is going to attract mostly RP supporters. Having some Democrats debate would be awesome, but I think they are aware they would be the big losers, so would not accept such an invitation. But having other learned men/women discussing the merits of adherence to the Constitution and the rules of law with Dr. Paul could be extremely beneficial and newsworthy. Let's do it!

"Nothing is as it appears; everything is smoke and mirrors"

at length

This has been discussed at length and it has been suggested they include some of his peers like Walter Williams. This is a really great idea.

Looks like headquarters is organizing a rally at the time of the roundtable and it would be good to give the rally attenders a place to go watch Dr. Paul.

Competing all the way

How about inviting some of the Democratic candidates, like Clinton and/or Obama and organizing a debate with them?

Guess which one would have higher ratings ;-)

I love it.

Doing a head to head debate with just one of the likely democratic finalists (Clinton or Obama) would definately capture the news.

a terrible idea

I can see the headlines now "Ron Paul finally admits he belongs with the Democrats"
No thanks!

uuuggg

Must we.

Depends...

Well, since debating any of them is an easy win and would surely draw the attention of undecided voters (in addition raising the status of RP as the best serious contender), I think it could help. Though, as always, I might be wrong...
