"Occupy Wall Street: Communism's Clueless Foot Soldiers"

I'm undecided in who these people are.. I don't seem to know them, but of course I haven't been to any of the, if you will, 'protest-ins' and, I believe life should be lived in person, on the most part. This article seems to hit the nail on the head:

"October 13, 2011
Occupy Wall Street: Communism's Clueless Foot Soldiers

Norman Thomas, a U.S. Socialist Party candidate for president, once famously said, “The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Thomas ran for president six consecutive times from 1928. He needn’t have bothered as Franklin Delano Roosevelt and subsequent Democrat Presidents introduced most of the planks of the Communist Manifesto and we live with them to this day.

The Occupy Wall Street youngsters are the latest foot soldiers of Communism, though it is likely most are too ignorant to realize it. They have been so thoroughly indoctrinated in government schools and by Hollywood and the media that they have no idea how they are being used by labor unions and other leftist organizations.

The protesters are likely unaware of the misery and murders Marx’s Communism imposed on Russia courtesy of Lenin, Stalin, and those who followed in their footsteps. Mao's Red China murdered thousands as well in the pursuit of the “equality” that is the alleged goal of Communism and liberalism.

In 1848, Karl Marx and Frederick Engels wrote “The Communist Manifesto.” Marx never held a job in his life, living off of donations from Engels and others. He failed miserably at every enterprise he tried, including publishing newspapers.

The Manifesto had ten planks. The first was the abolition of property in land and the application of all rents to public purposes."

Well Gorby is on their side:

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.
Ron Paul - The Revolution

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms. Ron Paul

I think the generally accepted terminology is

"useful idiots".

No doubt many of them are idiots

it's hard to say whether any of them will ever be "useful" or not. Be that as it may, at least the public is getting the message that some form of civil disobedience will be necessary to right the wrongs that have been committed. I think something like mass organized tax resistance would be more effective, however that doesn't seem to be in the cards just yet.

Illicit gains

The People just want the same freebies as the bankers got imo. Since the big bankers were not prosecuted along with nobody in the public sector, the protestors want justice and their cut.

Heck, who would want not billions in bailouts and zero-interest loans on the government dole to acquire real assets and pay off debts thus gaining distance from the competition? :P

Banker CEO's will have to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law along with bureaucrats for this to simmer down from what I gather. Since this is not going to happen then the bailouts will be more then a trend ;)

With all due respect

the "nail on the head" article is a bunch of nonsense. I see very little connection at all with "OWS" and communism. And certainly anyone with a grasp of history knows that Stalin and Mao's tyranny had very little to do with Marxism.

OWS,IMHO, is about equality and fairness of opportunity. That is a position where liberals and conservatives agree, right? If OWS targeted the corrupt bastards running the Federal government we'd be right there with them. I think that will happen soon enough.

Little connection

BTW, we don't believe equality, only commies do.

I certainly believe in equality

as it is meant in the constitution. That is that we are all equal under the law, and in terms of the natural laws. Even "commies" believed in the rule of law. Tyrants like Stalin did not.

Much of OWS is about how the 1% has set of rules and the rest have another. Dr. Paul always points out how the poor are treated unfairly by the judicial system.

You need do a little research in politics and hisotry

Stalin didn't stand for equality, really?

Huh? Stalin

slaughtered millions because he believed them to be unequal under the law and unequal within society. As far as he was concerned they had no rights whatsoever. The STATE came first. Same for Mao.

His solution was to kill those who didn't measure up.

Leaving everyone equally afraid to disobey.

Free includes debt-free!

Clues To The Clueless

Yes, most of the tenet of the Communist Manifesto have been embraced by this society and entrenched in the policies of its government for decades.

So the without-a-clue solution of this article's author and its clueless partisans would be to promote more division leaving confused foot soldiers to be conscripted as cannon fodder for class warfare rather than recruit them as guerrillas in the resistance.

Perhaps the clue for revolutionaries is to be found in the fact that so much of the communist agenda has been incorporated into the very system that many in the Occupy movement now rally to denounce.

G.K. Chesterton wrote in “Orthodoxy”,

“But the new rebel is a skeptic, and will not entirely trust anything. He has no loyalty; therefore he can never be really a revolutionist. And the fact that he doubts everything really gets in his way when he wants to denounce anything.”

this article is very black and white

And was written at a 2nd grade comprehension level. What about very successful countries that have adopted a semi -socialist and capitalist approach like Japan or Germany.

What about these quasi socialism countries need a crony

capitalism to defend them? Japanese Debt/GDP=200%, with their socialism experiment in Europe German will not be far behind.
Once interest starts cyclical rise, Watch out. Again what happens if one day they will be told they need to defend themselves?

Germany and Japan need to pay their fair share in defense .Which I think Germany has of lately done a better job of that then Japan.

again we mention fair share?

See how easy it is to denounce anyone seeking their "fair share" until it is our perception of "who" actually owes it that we justify in demanding it?

It is a vicious circle.

You cannot swear there is no such thing as equality then demand equality. (or some one or some country need step up because their payment (to you) do not seem "equal")

And here we rail against OWS demanding those who got bailouts
now spread that wealth around as it was taught with all of the "trickle down economics" and when this did not happen and they only seemed to hoard it and reward in bonuses for their own minions in negotiating such bailouts, we call those upset "commies" for their "misguided thinking". Even though we know full well it was the GOVERNMENT and the FED that made these deals.

Just as it was/is the Government and the FED that made the
wars and occupation/military deals with Japan and Germany so that they could have their footprint in these countries forever more, You mistakenly demand they now PAY UP, for OUR SERVICES, as if they ASKED for them? Instead of us forcing ourselves down their throats.

IN time I have no doubt we will be demanding the same of the Middle East. When/if we get the oil running as to the plan all along we can then demand repayment for raping their resource by "freeing them" and instilling our bases to protect our interests and convincing them they are NOT our slaves.

Lord have Mercy.

Occupy is diverse and EVERYONE should know that

by now. Do you really think over ten thousand "communist" foot soldiers shut down Oakland? Lets take a minute to recognize the propaganda at work. Ron Paul nailed it when he described how the majority of Americans feel at Occupy.

Ron Paul on Occupy Wall Street:
“But I think that the majority of them think government is the problem and taxes are too high and they know that the Federal Reserve plays a role in this, which, of course, is something I agree with.”

I don't see these young people as communist "foot soldiers"

I see them fed up with our corrupt system just as much as everybody who supports Ron Paul is fed up. Why should they back politicians on either side? The Republicans, with the help of some Democrats, just shot down an infrastructure bill that Obama gave Congress that would have provided jobs. This would anger any person who graduated from college and can't find a job, and who is straddled with debt.

"I support the Declaration of Independence and I interpret the Constitution."

Bump as well.

Bump as well.

"Give me Liberty or give me death." Patrick Henry

Very accurate article.

Hits the nail right on the head.

I must have missed this the first time around.
