Report from Occupy Toronto -- Canadians Love Ron PaulSubmitted by legalizeliberty on Sat, 10/15/2011 - 12:55
Friends of Liberty and Peace!
Occupy Toronto protest just started at 10 am ET.
I did not really have to search for the meeting point because from far away I could see a police helicopter hovering above where people congregated.
After some speeches we marched to a park corner of King and Church St.
2,000 + people so far...
I came prepared with over 100 leaflets of my website's front page:
when giving them out I was saying "anti-war website" I would avoid saying it is about Ron Paul so not to scare them away.
Most here are socialists anarchists and marxists yet out of about 50 people I talked to only one person was negative towards Ron Paul.
I met even one lefty democrat from Detroit who said to me "I will vote for Ron Paul".
One lady carrying No North American Union sign exclaimed to me "I love Ron Paul and Alex Jones!"...every person who carried anti-war/peace signs was supportive of Ron Paul.
People told me that "we have common enemy" and I would talk to everyone how much each country is spending on military how much wars cost.
I explained the creation of new money that devalues the already existing money creating inflation which hits the population destroying wealth.
Muslim people were especially supportive of doctor Ron Paul -- I think for obvious reasons.
They have family and friends in the countries that suffer from the insane foreign policy of the US empire.
An anti-war rally starts in couple of minutes on Dundas Sq. and they will be heading to Occupy Toronto place to join with protesters there.
So far police is friendly and no incidents to report.
Peace brothers & sisters in Liberty!
met a dozen Ron Paul supporters who stand all day(and will again tomorrow)with a huge Ron Paul rEVOLution banner talking to people. Many folks come up to them showing support and taking pictures with the banner!
