Lionel: The more the media tells me that Ron Paul doesn't have a chance.Submitted by dfwrider on Mon, 10/17/2011 - 04:13
Lionel: "The more the media tells me that Ron Paul doesn't have a chance, and his ideas of adhering to the constitution or abolishing or at least auditing the fed are crazy, or his ideas of abolishing the drug war are nuts, or his demands that we end all foreign wars and occupation and bring our brave men and women home, that that's crazy, the more the bought and sold mainstream media presstitutes tell me that he doesn't have a chance, the more I want him ..."
Here's the video the above snippet came from:
Here's another sharp rant, Lionel making it clear who he supports:

So I just rediscovered Lionel. I only heard him a few dozen times, years ago, back in 2003, and was one of the few voices that I heard (at that time) criticizing our invasion of Iraq. Back then I was definitely liberty supporter raw material, but I would still (unfortunately) check out Sean Hannity, and other neocons. But I was prescient enough to get a different perspective, and Lionel was the counter point, which I just stumbled upon. It was just dumb luck, I was surfing the radio stations, and I heard his bumper music, a song by the Gypsy Kings, which I've always liked, so I stopped and tuned in. But I digress, back to Lionel, he's been described by liberals as a conservative, and by conservatives as a liberal (where have we heard that before)... but I remember him as a feisty contrarian, with a sharp tongue, who sorta talked like Joe Pesci.
I have a soft spot for the guy, because I knew that I was on the receiving end of a major propaganda effort back in those days, and after I heard Lionel once, I kept listening, in some attempt to hear both sides of the debate.
