The Most Articulate Wise Post about what FOX is doing, Spread this
Don't Prove Them Right!
On December 29th, 2007 NinerSevenTango says:
Fox News wants to paint all Ron Paul supporters as loonies, outsiders, fringe, kooks, whatever.
DO NOT give them ammunition to fire at the campaign in the days leading up to these crucial primaries.
WE NEED to be able to let the world point at FOX as the foolish ones overplaying their hand. WE NEED the world to see that FOX is trying to squash the constitutional and pro-freedom message.
WE ARE BEING WATCHED. HERE. NOW.
A very old tactic, used by organizations around the world, is to infiltrate a group, find its most unstable and gullible members, and provoke them into doing something completely off the wall. Don't allow yourself to be turned into a 'lone gunman', or part of a 'mob'!
This is crucially important right now.
If we have logic, reason, and truth on our side, now is the time to demonstrate that.
Remember that evil springs from impotence. The impotence of their philosophy is their weakness. They are afraid of the freedom message, and would like to get some of us to discredit it, preferably by an attack on them. Their fall from grace will be from a greater height if it is by their own actions. If they exclude Dr. Paul from their forum, it discredits them, not us or Dr. Paul. Disrupting their forum will only give them an excuse to discredit us and rally their audience in their defense.
It could cost us the election.
Use reasonable, peaceful means to express your displeasure, but please, please, do not hand FOX a gun to shoot us with!
If anyone causes a disruption at that event, the commentary will be all about the kooks who support Dr. Paul (and they will drag up every kook they can think of). They will spin on ad nauseum about how dangerous a grass roots campaign is, how incompetent Dr. Paul is for not controlling his supporters like the others, how the neocons were right about the backlash against the state being a threat of homegrown terrorism, plus whatever else they can think up. Their tactic will be to paint Dr. Paul as 'unpresidential'.
They are searching for anything negative to report about the campaign, because they cannot win any arguments against following the constitution.
Please don't sabotage the campaign!
FOX News comes from the viewpoint that supports measures to enact police state powers. All they need now is a visible demonstration to prove their point that freedom-lovers are unstable wackos who can't be trusted with their freedom.
Thanks for reading this far, and sorry for disagreeing with your last point, Michael.
Respectfully,

yes, lets wait for the world to condemn fox news........
Just chill out Paul Revere...think of the moral indignation of the clueless masses that will arise and kill those damn redcoats in their sleep!!!!!!!! Those sage republicans will finally see through the machinations of fox news via the principled mass inaction of the supporters of the cynically excluded candidate. Suddenly, logic, reason and truth will rule the day...for the 1st time in human history!
Really, what % of fox viewers that night are even going to be aware that Dr. Paul is missing? Personally, I'd love to see a streaker race across the stage with a Ron Paul sticker on his ass. Ok, maybe not that exactly (but there would be some great press, with a little sense of humor...oh, wait they are republican primary voters, can't rely on a sense of humor)...but we need a little showbiz here to drown out the Fox blather, which will be negative regardless of what is or isn't done.
We have a lot of college students out there, how about a Kiss for Liberty kissing booth outside the venue with a coed, or a group storm the stage wearing Ron Paul masks, or a Ron Paul shirted Morganna rushing the stage to lay one on Rudy. I think it would be great if they interrupted it repeatedly in a humorous way.
"WE ARE BEING WATCHED. HERE. NOW." Be vewy, vewy, quiet. I don't mean to be flip and I get the act extremely normal bit...but lets not forget one of the reasons we support our candidate is the joy it brings us. If he can't be there, I'd love to see some of his people show that.
Amen...
Let the Iowa and NH votes proclaim Fox's wrong-headded and biased thinking. We need to properly reflect Dr Paul. Remember the 3OVL in the R3VOLUTION
wants are unlimited, means are scarce...
....where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is LIBERTY. 2 Corinthians 3:17(b)
***wants are unlimited, means are scarce...***
I agree we have to be
exceptional in our conduct. They are looking to get us in trouble and make us look bad. After viewing the Ralph Nader tape this police state has been going on for some time. So I do not see them changing their minds in letting Dr. Paul have access to their forum.
The campaign MUST begin forming alternative plans that will gain maximum exposure even if the campaign has to buy it. It is now, or never the campaign seems to be at a tipping point.
What if Dr. Paul went to the stock exchange or had a rally in the financial district with anyone and everyone who agrees that there needs to be changes. This could be huge and show that Dr. Paul is VERY main stream.

Stacking the deck
Fox News has been stacking the deck from day one. They are not a legitimate news organization. In as much as it is wrong and unfair this could possible work to our advantage, finally exposing Fox News for what it really is, a mouth piece for the Neo Cons. After thinking about this exclusion,I've concluded that most likely not too many people will be watching a forum the day after a double debate. And furthermore as a mouth piece for the Neo Cons, IMHO Fox is just trying to distract us. Why else would they exclude Dr. Paul from this event, while inviting him in the future to the SC debate Jan.10th? Kinda makes you wonder doesn't it? As for the consumer boycotts, it a great idea, however spending one once of energy that you would have spent working on the campaign to show Fox we know what they are doing,
it most likely playing into their game; distracting us from what has been working very successfully: recruiting new supporters.
It is easy to do nothing; better to do something
I'm still making it a personal point to boycott Fox and their sponsors. I've already made the phone calls. and I'm sticking to what I said until January 6th (if RP is included) or six months (if RP is not included). It's easy NOT to buy a stereo or a brand of hair gel.
ON THE OTHER HAND: Given a choice between a meetup group with happy faces waving "Ron Paul" signs on a trafficked street corner or a meetup with angry faces waving "No Fox" signs in front of a vendor, the Happy Ron Paul group helps us more. Given a choice there, I'm in the Happy Ron Paul group every time.
That's my personal solution on how to divide the labor on this.
Life, Liberty, Property
Boycott the advertisers
If RP is not on the forum I wont buy what they are selling.
This is something
hundred of thousands of us can do today. Cancel any service or product from newscorp. Start by dumping DIRECT TV and let them know why. Can we start a website to pledge to cancel Direc TV. This will make their stock go down in fear and speculation.
Careful
You may have a contract with Direct-TV..I have an 18 month one and it would cost me dearly to void it
It will cost them more
I can you imagine the speculators talking about our massive cancelations and you just see that stock taking a dive for the good. I lost 19.95 they lost millions. Ha ha ha ha now who is laughing he he he. Is up to you if you are willing to sacrifice the penalty for freedom.
$700
it would cost me 700 bucks to void my contract and they will never miss you or me...I see we're boycotting Comcast also...LOL
ok in your case
you can continue loving communist is FOX. Good for you and by the way go an vote for Huckleberry while you are watching FOX from your DIRECT TV communist link station.
Sorry to hear that
it sounds you signed a contract with the devil.
Great Post and I agree
I got frustrated initially with the media, but this makes me even more determined. I decided not to watch anymore. Fox does not matter, getting the message out by grass roots people does. Nobody watches fox anyways. We need to be creative and have fun and get the message out. Its obvious we are making an impact or this would not have happened. So everyone keep your chin up and lets get the job done.

I have a huge Issue
With Fox News. Before anything they should be about news. No matter how you see it their bread and buttred is news and news should be first and for most. Lets look how the story started. It was from the Associated Press story and they claim to be the global news network and if you check any of your local news papers most of their storys come from the AP so it is not a off the wall crazy source. As till now i have not heard an offical statment from Fox News as to weather the story is correct or not. I mean a story about a debate Fox News are claimed to be haveing should be something they could either admit or deny in a very fast way and how could the GOP headquarters in New Hampshire being shut down by complaints not be news in it self but has any major network reported on it to confirm it or deny it? That it is an issue makes it news and why have we not heard directly from Fox News on it?
You are right
You are right that Fox News has neither confirmed or denied the AP story. What is more important, however, is how we react to the apparent decision to exclude Ron Paul from their upcoming event. We must devote our energy to the things that have brought us success thus far and not get bogged down with the misdeeds of Fox News. It also would be a good idea for the campaign to hold an alternative event where Ron Paul can use the entire time to articulate his positions on all the issues. If the past debates are any indication, the campaign forum would give Dr. Paul only a very limited time to articulate his positions on the issues. This way we control the agenda. In this way, Fox News' attempt to silence Ron Paul will backfire.

We should not be looking hurt Fox News
We need to be looking to help our campaign. Let's keep it positive. After all, the message of liberty is a positive message.
Agreed
The campaign wants supporters to be optimistic. That's why they want you to say Ron Paul is Pro-Peace, instead of Anti-War. We need to continue to be positive thinkers and congregate in NH. At the last minute I decided to go up to Des Moines and see Dr. Paul after he was excluded from the Iowa forum last June. It was an incredible event, to say the least. We need to have another crowd gathering event, and then stay for a couple days spreading the message door-to-door.
We all know FoxNews is wrong for not letting Dr. Paul in the forum. The best thing we can do is discredit them. We need to do everything we can to help Ron win in NH and that will make them look like fools.

hear here!
Regardless of whether or not there is a Fox forum, and regardless of whether or not Dr. Paul is included, none of us should watch Fox. I say turn them off and encourage others to do the same. I made my mom turn it off for 10 days as an experiment to try to free her mind from the propaganda, and it worked. The other sides of arguments crept into her head without the admittedly clever Fox propaganda tactics, and she eventually came into the light. She can now be seen out and about wearing her Ron Paul shirt, and her yard sign is on the way. Fox is a shameful outfit any way you slice it, but I agree that we should not physically disrupt their studio.

It was canceled!
Can we get any confirmation on this, this article says the debate is canceled, though it's not a debate so what is the truth?

Something we can do
Here's something all of us can do regarding the exclusion no matter
where we are (from Downsize DC website):
http://action.downsizedc.org/wyc.php?cid=88
Easy way to counter this.
If you're saying we're fringe and crazy than most military families are fringe and crazy.
won't that make fox look stupid?
we have the most military support and we need to bring that up.
we are middle america.
People are not expendable. Government is.
We need votes
We are winning.
Fox is acting like we are winning.
Attacking Fox will not get us one vote.
Trying harder than they do will get us all of the votes we need.
I have to assume they "might" try something.
I think it is important for us to be aware of this and to keep it out in front.
At the rally, all must be on the up and up.
Stop emailing these people and get back to campaigning.
We want it more than they do, that is why we are winning.

Igniting the flames of Liberty
I agree let Fox keep on lighting the flames of Liberty for us.
FOX can keep ignoring Paul and a large part of America, and we will sit back while it backfires and the flames of Liberty get stronger.

Lookin for a fight?
People are easily scared. If America were to believe that Ron Paul and his supporters were out to steal ALL of the worlds supply of portable corndog toasters with built in AM/FM radio and roadside emergency flasher they would gladly relinquish all to save that from happening.
There is an obvious difference between diplomacy and harassment.
Be gentle as sheep but wise as wolves. JC

Excellent
This post makes me think of how effective this campaign is and will become as the elections are coming - even as it fights upstream.
