Did you notice that the guys in the costumes(cops) didnt understand the language the Marine was speaking???
Did you get that?
They all had the "deer in the headlights look", like mom caught them jacking off behind the house or something.
They had NOTHING to say to him. NOTHING!!!

Don't forget... There is no honor in killing innocent civilians in the Middle East either.

There is no honor in beating peaceful civilians in the United States, and there is no honor doing it to foreigners either.

Having said that; this guy makes a great point. And not because he is a soldier (which some people assume gives super powers,) but because he tells them the truth... THERE IS NO HONOR IN BEATING PEACEFUL CIVILIANS.

The second part of the story is that there is no honor in doing it abroad to foreigners either.

However, There are many people here in the USA that watch OWS (From there couches)and think they (OWS) are the ones doing the wrong. This is why we have soldiers like this causing harm to civilians over seas.

I give this guy a ton of credit. He understands that to change foreign policy, you first have to change the way people think here in the USA. If more and more of our service men and women stand up for the people they swore to protect on the Constitution (just like the police did)I feel The average american will start to understand that our behavior over seas is directly related to our behavior right here in the United States.

Hopefully more people will understand that our service in Iraq had nothing to do with any American's freedom or rights. But he did make some good points. Anyone should be ashamed for dressing up for war and initiating violence against their own unarmed, non-violent citizens.

For some reason people brought up the issue of PTSD in this man. It's besides the point, sort of like Ron Pauls stick-on eye brow rumors. Or Ron Pauls age.

The message is the important thing and if this Marine got even a few of the cops to think twice about becoming overly aggressive, that's a good thing. Because some do get out of hand, and this Marines message may have been just the thing they needed.

That being said -- the Marine was the EXACT right person to call them out -- notice how they respected the Marine; because some of them are Veterans themselves.

2012 will come and pass and the RP community will still carry on this Vietnam era / Spike Lee "hate the pigs" mentality and will LOSE-OUT on the most Referral "sensitive" Voting Block I've ever seen in 20 years of serving 1st Responders and Military Personnel.

In 2008 Cops gave to Ron Paul more than all other candidates combined -- Just as the military did -- why? Because they swore an oath to protect the constitution, most feel the wars are going on too long, most are EXTREMELY conservative regarding spending, and MOST hate the drug laws.

cops? I hadn't heard that and it would be most useful for the campaign, and especially useful in reaching out to the police. I know Oath Keepers is doing its best to reach all active duty and retired military/enforcement personnel.

Ever see the Nazi Skinheads March -- Aryan Brotherhood -- KKK?

We had an Occupy Wall Street type march/protest here.

Only one or two arrests -- No one pepper sprayed -- Protestors did not interfere with businesses or traffic.

The Net Effect of a Protest or March is Zero (No Change).

A Protest or Demonstration unless in regard to a glaring civil rights violation (like civil rights movement) usually ends in the Zero Effect range -- ranks up there with Lawn Signs and Blimps.

The Ballot Box has never brought Liberty (not once) in All Human History. That's just a fact.

I think Free-Markets are born in the Marketplace not in the political -- but that's just me and THAT has never been tried (seriously).

FYI - cops dont just patrol protests and marches when the cameras are running and they're on their best behavior.

Anon: There are 1 Million Cops in America

.....there are 3 times that many Private Security (just FYI).

Of the 1 Million only around 30% are on the street right now.

Of the ones on the street most are doing traffic stops
---Of Traffic there are very few "traps" going on maybe 3 or 4 per month in major cities (too much man power)

The next group would be patrol -- Most patrol on an average evenining (depending on a city) will answer 2 or 3 emergencies that are not weapon related -- usually respiratory or heart failure. Usually the officer is just "on scene" with Paramedics or Fire handling the care.

Very small number per department are in Gang Task-Force (depending on the city) and these folks rarely interact with civilians (the innocent) as most work the later shift when most of us are in bed.

The next group is Investigation -- these folks NEVER work Marches, Fairs, or Protests. So they are not in the numbers you squawk against.

In truth you could not name how many cops are violators of the Constitution because you do not know how many are on the street or which occupations interact with civilians the most.

It's a black sheep thing my friend -- They stand out and are a favorite topic.

You have a problem with truth -- 99.9% of all the Occupy Protestors around the country have not been harmed by the cops, nor pepper sprayed, and they've had hours and hours of time littering and loitering in front of businesses (I know because my daughters boyfriend's parents have a business in S.F suffering from these societal-changing protests *sarcasm*)

Can you agree with that -- if not what percentage of protestors would you say have been harmed and how many peppered and how many "stopped" from expressing themselves?

I want a free-society too but Voting and Protesting (Abdication and Beggary) and Lobbying (Bribery) have never brought one on before, so I see it as a waste of energy (in the long-run) and a good thing (in the short-run -- like one day).

are not geared toward "peace" but towards arrest or ticketing; however, there is more that cops do (way more) than you are either willfully ignoring or are completely ignorant of (I'm not sure which).

I can't believe you think that every cop or even "most" cops are out harrassing people every day and every shift.

I saw 10 cops today in my Bay Area town -- 2 sets working an accident, another doing theft investigation, 3 working downed intersections, and 4 aiding fire department / road clean up.

I train cops and military in non-lethal defensive tactics and I talk to them all the time about their day-to-day.

The Traffic Cops do not work protests and they do not do domestics -- they do not do murder or theft investigation nor kidnapping. Most days (and they hope for this) are un-eventful.

Since we do not live in a free-society I do not expect free-society results -- nor do I hold one sector toward idealism and another toward absolutism.
