Senator Rand Paul to force Senate Establishment to read bills they are voting on by tacking on countless amendments

"Senator Paul is planning on attacking a bill before the Health, Education, Labor and Pension Committee markup with amendment, after ammendment, after amendment, reports Dan Holler. Rand's target will be the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act.
Holler explainds (My emphasis):

As Vice President Biden would say, this is “a big [freaking] deal.”

It would be the ninth reauthorization of the 1965 law, which is the largest federal law governing K thru 12 education policy. The previous reauthorization, No Child Left Behind (NCLB), cost taxpayers roughly $131 billion between 2005 and 2010. NCLB also significantly expanded the federal role in education, weakened state control and stifled innovation at the local level.

Enter Senator Paul, who is going to sit through a grueling markup and offer amendment after amendment to a terrible piece of legislation that the committee’s chairman Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) drafted behind closed doors.

bump for Rand recognition.

Rand needs to give the Congress a little break

and hit the campaign trail for his dad. This is the big fight, and Ron Paul needs all the stump speakers he can get.

I think the Senate has had to much of a break ,as well as Congress.

Well, he has visited Iowa

Well, he has visited Iowa with his dad and went to Ames a few months ago. Not sure if he's been active besides that. But come on, he's got his own constituents to represent now as well. They don't need him on the campaign all the time. And he's got to preserve his political capital anyway for 2016.

Never forget:

To disagree, one doesn't have to be disagreeable.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

I always knew Rand was the real deal

he just knew how to slide in. It is time all of us and all of our candidates level the playing field and slide in. If I was running for Congress, I would say, I support Israel to the fullest, and then I would slide right in and fight this corrupt system left and right. If they want to play dirty politics, so should we, but for the good side of things. Way to go Rand, thanks for the read OP.

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

Well, he is real on some

Well, he is real on some deals, like this one, and notsomuch on some others. He caved on the debt ceiling and is more into war than Dad.
