No caucus for Republicans

They just vote like a straw poll. This is a Historic event. Let's treat it like one. This will be our first time electing a President who is Smart, Honest, and will Defend the Constitution. Show up Early. The Earlier the Better. Bring your labtops and camcorders. Show people how energized the Ron Paul supporters are. Show exactly how the other camps are organized. Interview the morons who are going to vote for other candidates and have them give you reasons for thier decision. Show people getting converted into Ron Paulians. Put it on youtube so that those in New Hampshire can witness the Revolution in case the MSM continues to ignore it. Have sleep overs on the second to make sure your friends show up. Carpool with the flaky ones to make sure they show up. Make sure you show the other news station like Fox Noise or Clinton News Network. Try to interview them and ask them why are they trying to Smear Ron Paul.
If all of Ron's supporters show up, He Will Win. Iowa can start the Domino Effect to Freedom. This is our William Wallace moment. We need to stay energized and STAY POSITIVE. Remember, most of the Republicans don't like who they are voting for and only know about Ron from what they hear on Fox. Happiness in contagious. If they see you doing the things above, they are going to get in the line of the Constitution. These people are followers not leaders. They don't educate themselves, they wait for others to educate them. This is how we beat Fox and the MSM. When Ron wins Iowa, he skip the NH debate because it would do him no good. It would be a trap for him instead of a trap for Mitt (which it is now).

Caucus tidbits I've heard

I caught a few tidbits about a Caucus. Democrats are different from Republicans caucus. There will be anywhere from 1500 to 1700 places to have a caucus in the entire state. They can be as small as 10 people in someone's home and as large as using a school or church building for several hundred. Approximately 80,000 to 95,000 are expected to go to caucus. Wow, that's not very many people for a state as large as Iowa!

However, I'm thinking that more will be showing up because of Ron Paul! It will be interesting to hear the tally of how many actually end up going! Could it be double? Triple?

Think of all the non-voters, never voters, college voters, first time voters, party line crossers, independents, that are so excited about RP that they'll be showing up at caucus in a blizzard if need be. And the caucus goers that will decide that night after hearing and seeing RP videos and supporters!

Like Drew Ivers said, "Ron Paul is peaking at just the right moment, unlike any candidate he's ever worked with before". (paraphrased)

Note: Apparently Drew Ivers has worked for 3 other presidential campaigns: Pat Robertson, and 2 for Pat Buchanan. Drew seemed genuniely estatic over this "peaking" of Ron Paul.

Remember Iowans..

TAKE SOME RESOURCES WITH YOU TO THE CAUCUS.. DON"T BE EVEN ONE MINUTE LATE!!

AND CONVICE THOSE HESITANT... That... one he has a chance.. and two he is not a kook.. rather he is a GENIUS...

Take some vids of him so they can watch.... there will be those there that have NEVER EVEN HEARD OF HIM..

Take some vids of the other guys saying crap different from what they say now too....

CONVICE PEOPLE TO JOIN US!!!!

Dems/ Reps different

Dems have to negotiate with others to gain >15% vote count to even be viable.

Reps- Conduct strawpoll for total vote count- all votes count

Dem Caucus & Repub Caucus, are they Different?

I recently read somewhere online that the Republican Caucus and

the Democrat Caucus are different. At the democrat caucus they stand in different corners of the room as described above but the republican caucus is different, more like a townhall meeting.

Anyone else have insight or experience here? Is the author of this article a D or R???

Thanks - I'm not from Iowa but I am very curious!

Please don't try to convince pro-war caucus goers they are wrong

My best advice to Iowa Caucus goers is NOT to try to convince anyone in the other camps (corners of the room) that they are wrong about their view that Saddam needed to be eliminated along with his nasty sons.

If you have to argue foreign policy at all to them, tell them:

1) The Iraq War is over now or should be by January 2009. Nobody should vote for a candidate who wants to stay in Iraq longer than that (although I am personally OK with a few US bases in the desert).

2) Tell them that Bhutto was buddies with Hillary Clinton and widely hated for corruption in her previous administration, so why was George Bush and the US State Departrment pushing her on the Pakistani people?

3) Ask them if we can afford 300 military bases all over the world when we can project military force from home anyplace in the world within hours anyway.

Moreover, you can say: "OK. So you disagree with RP on foreign policy, but wouldn't you agree that we have worse enemies domestically than Islamofascists abroad?"

Ask them if they don't realize that their Republican Congresspeople have been selling them out...behaving more and more liberal.

Ask them if having Dr. No veto all new laws wouldn't help stop the traitors from working with the liberals in Congress to get more and more restrictive laws passed.

If some Romney supporter tells you that he doesn't perceive that he has lost any rights...be prepared to explain a lot of rights that Americans have lost at home...being sure not to specifically complain about terrorists being arrested and phone calls to Palistan being wiretapped.

Concentrate on Internet regulation if the other person uses the Internet.

I can personally convince any heterosexual single male to vote for Ron Paul within seconds, simply by pointing out that the other candidates want to enforce background checks for men who use dating websites.

Some might say that is a controversial subject, but background checks for single males using online dating services elicit an immediate negative emotion that would instantaneously alienate any red-blooded male towards the likes of Julie Annie, McCain or Romney.

If I was an Iowan, I know I could single-handedly pull dozens of people over to the Paul corner simply by discussing Internet regulation knowledgably.

stop using...

Islam and fascism in the same line...you sound like guliani and mccaine...otherwise I agree totally on the internet regulating part .....

On The War

Agree with it or not, we simply can't afford it any more. We are borrowing billions from China and Saudi Arabia - sooner or latter that well will run dry. Economic security is AS IMPORTANT as military security. You can't have one without the other.

Ron Paul is telling us the truth on this. The other candidates, well you figure it out what they're selling.

WHAT??????

You are WRONG... so WRONG... this is the CAUCUS PROCESS..

TAKE A LAPTOP and let RON PAUL CONVICE THEM!!!!

Also... don't EVER EVER make the "MISTAKE" of believeing that all other supporters are PRO WAR..

Many have been CONDITIONED to believe that Dr. Paul is a KOOK..

That NEEDS TO BE DIS-PROVEN by passionate smart WELL BEHAVED IOWAN SUPPORTERS..

What you suggested is FOOLISHNESS...

Advice for when they say they are pro-war and won't budge

If someone in the Caucus process says they are not voting for RP because they disagree on foreign policy and the need to "stay on offense", please take my above advice and go indirect...

What I suggest will win pro-war people over to RP quickly.

I know because I am pro-war myself and I can only vote for RP.

But far be it for me to dissuade the use of a laptop to show a video of RP talking.

However, if the other person refuses to watch or is unmoved, consider my Plan B. On caucus day, a lot of people will be sick of videos. It might happen that only inter-human interaction will be useful.

I have never argued with anyone on DP about the war because there is no need to. There are so many other reasons to vote for RP, the most compelling being that our domestic enemies are more dangerous than so-called "Islamofascists".

Are there Iowans here??

I'm from Iowa

and It's Time to Start a Revolution.

Never been to a Caucus before, so I don't know all the specifics. Apparently we just listen to some people speak and then fill out a ballot.

As far as peoples attitude here, I really haven't seen any person enthusiastic about any Republican candidate other than Ron Paul. The only people that have told me they ever went to a Caucus before are my parents (but that was over 40 years ago). They, and several people I work with are going this year to vote for Ron. Once 1 person discovered Ron at work, it only took about 10 minutes and some informational handouts for several of us to become believers.

There has not been 1 person I have talked to tell me they were going to Caucus for someone else. I don't know where the other 90% of likely Republican Caucus Goers are that aren't going to vote for Ron Paul. I probably haven't talked with a random sample of people, but I just don't know where all these other people are. Maybe it's the elderly - I haven't talked to many of them (except my parents, but then again they're for Ron Paul).

I think the Ron Paul Enthusiasm is going to make all the difference.
