Ohio Straw Poll Saturday

Dear Supporter,

It’s not too late to sign up to participate in the historic Swing State Straw Poll tomorrow, October 22nd, at the Ohio Union at The Ohio State University, located at 1739 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43210. Don’t miss the opportunity to join hundreds of Ohioans from across the state and let the nation know where the most politically important state in the county stands on who the Republican Party should nominate for president!

Parking Information:
The Parking garages adjacent to the north side of the Ohio Union are operated by OSU Transportation & Parking Services. The following instructions and links provide helpful information on how to use the parking facilities. Ohio Union North Garage & Ohio Union South Garage- The garages do not always have an attendant present, and there is a self-pay machine that accepts Visa, MC and Discover credit cards and cash. If these garages are full, an alternate parking location is available just South of the Ohio Union, at the South Campus Gateway garage, on 11th Avenue, just East of High Street.

And there are soooo many Ron Paul supporters here. Ron Paul and end the fed chants are being heard. Herman Cain and Rick santorum are the only other candidates with a table and they are very obviously the minority.

Now whether or not I can evade security long enough to cast a vote remains to be seen... I imagine a scenario in which my lithe, sanguine form deftly dodges inquiries for $25, and sprints searingly quick toward the voting area, to be subsequently speared through my torso in opposing directions by rather large, brutish-looking fellows. The pain, like acid rain washes over the shore of my senses and I spend the next few months re-learning to digest oatmeal and walk in a straight line.

Should be a rip-roaring good time!

NOT looking forward, however, to watching fellow countymen & women waste their vote on an Assorted Establishment Prick candidate, but the day is a personal winner when I find myself in the company of the cavalry! As others note, it truly sucks to be one of a seemingly few Dr. Paul supporters in one's particular social and professional circles.

BUT they at least have heard of him. And they know I'm ***king serious about my support and the Liberty philosophy. I've woken friends up before, it's just a matter of time, patience, logic, and trying not to be a condescending douche (which can be really, really hard sometimes).

I'm very uncomfortable with this Ohio Swing State Poll

I really think this OhioSwingStatePoll is a scam. I think the Republican Party of Ohio is using us Ron Paul supporters in order to raise a bunch of quick cash. I think this money will be used against Ron Paul later.

I'm cringing at the thought of handing the Ohio GOP my money. They are extremely hostile to liberty here in Ohio.

I think this is a lose-lose situation for us. Cain, Perry and the others make national headlines when they win these state straw polls (like Cain today in Nevada) but a Ron Paul win will likely be dismissed like usual.

I feel like I am being blackmailed by the establishment to pay 25 dollars so that another candidate doesn't make national headlines on Sunday.

Just be happy it is only $25.

The Ohio GOP need to raise money to smear Ron Paul when the mainstream media an a lot of local media is doing that for them? I don't think it can backfire much because RP doesn't depend much on the state Gop's. And plus when the GOP needs money they just ask their deep pocketed buddies and Ohio has plenty of those.

Cain is a straw man created by the MSM. They are stringing him and Perry along to keep other candidates from challenging their number one pick Mitt Romney. Thank God the voters get choose the real winner during the primary elections -- not the MSM. The strategy has worked for them in the past but not this time.

Well, he has this false reputation as a “straight shooter”. We just have to keep exposing his lies and who really backs him.

I do think the support for Cain is not actual at this point. It’s mostly a media myth, but he does have more mass appeal than Perry. They tried to do the same thing with him, that backfired due to him coming off like an utter dolt. Cain is more slick. He’s able to wiggle out of his lies and missteps easier than most. We just have to keep educating people on the former Fed Chairman and why that’s a bad thing.

Cain is being exposed. Keep spreading the truth about this x-FED chairman. People need to understand who this guy is and who he will be working for. And it will not be the people who are showing him all this flash-in-the-pan support if he would get in.

I'm taking the 2.5hr drive tomorrow to vote for Ron Paul. If you check out their facebook, they asked who people are voting for, and OVERWHELMINGLY people said Ron Paul!

I was just on the Janine Turner radio show (she has had all the GOP candidates on except for Paul and maybe Romney), we talked about how Paul will win tomorrow's straw poll.

I cited the fact that he has more military donations, and leads in individual donations than any other gop candidate.

We talked about how a small tireless irate crowd can change the course of the country.

I dunno who Janine is, but you brought up excellent points and KUDOS to you for doing it. I think from all I am hearing, Ron will win. I also thank the Ohio GOP for making the price reasonable so the "little guys" can go and vote. Should be a slam-dunk for Ron. It would be interesting to find out who wins the under $100-tag straw vote polls, and who wins the over that ones..just saying.

After all of the tea-O-con folk I have been dealing with...
Any time I can get around some "thinking" Ron Paul people who can see past the flickering screen mind numbing spin enough to know a "real" candidate when they see one. Count me in.
We have caravan's heading to Columbus in the morning to represent...because we believe in our candidate.

We have people going down from Portage, Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Summit, Wayne, Medina, and Geauga counties. All of the NE Ohio RON PAUL 2012 MeetUp groups will be represented there.
It is less than three hours from just about anywhere in the state of Ohio.
Lets do this right.
