It's up to us to elect Ron Paul to make sure this actually happens.

Tired of it...

And so are the majority of our guys over there. Being AD, I've been to Iraq 5 times and Asscrackastan twice. And I feel (as most of you do) we should have left Iraq/Afgh years ago, not to mention we probably shouldnt have even gone in in the first place. But my point is, our guys are worn out. I know for sure in the USAF CSAR community that is an understatement. Hell, even our H-60s are beyond worn out, earlier in the year half our fleet was grounded for airframe cracks.
Some of the troops have their head in the sand, all they care about is a paycheck and survival. And those who havent be in military probably wont understand but those of you who have/are know exactly what i'm talking about. But there's good news, we're slowly waking up! And you can tell by the campaign contributions! although we can only contribute $250 (I believe), it still proves the truth about Dr Paul's message. I first discovered the truth about 3 years ago after a friend loaned me 'The road to serfdom' by Hayek (unfortunately after the 2008 election) but it snowballed from there and I've been on the Dr Paul and Liberty train ever since. And as the famous quote goes, There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.

Scott Horton interviews Michael Schwartz on Iraqi deaths

Scott Horton, human-rights attorney, journalist (Harper’s) and radio host, libertarian activist and writer on legal and national security, interviews Michael Schwartz, author of the book, War Without End: The Iraq War. It will give you an idea of the full extent of the ruination of Iraq and its people. The numbers of dislocated in the millions and more
millions left barely sustaining life is heart wrenching. Schwartz states 50 percent of Americans thought that under 9,000 Iraqis had died. This is a massively distorted perception vs. the lowest actual number reported of over 100K or depending on what report you read, the count goes over one million deaths, the number Schwartz uses; the majority of violent deaths (60% to 80%) he maintains were caused by the American military. It is clear how much the media and DC have kept Americans dumbed down which is no surprise to most of Paul’s supporters.

I get literally sick to my stomach over these poor countries

that the US has DESTROYED. THEN, when someone has the gall to say that they should REIMBURSE the US for it's efforts... I pretty much have to have a stiff drink.

The EVIL RICH ELITES are having this site monitored. DO NOT FORGET THAT. They also heavily monitor Alex Jones' website, too. I believe I posted, or was one of the first ones to post that Obummer's downfall would be due to his breaking his campaign promises of bringing our troops home.

...not that others didn't post the same! But, I know I was one of the first who did. Therefore, if I have any more tactical campaign strategies, I will NOT be posting them publicly. I will give them to the campaign direct. And, I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you all do the same thing.

THINK BEFORE WE POST~~from now on. Because we all have some really good ideas. We have to be careful now, as we are entering the bitter end stages of this critical phase.

Our poor troops will come home...... for a 30 day leave.... and then be sent right off to AFRICA. Obama's all heart. What a guy!

So who "owns" blackwater? We

So who "owns" blackwater?

We go in, and install them, and leave, go to iran, install them there, then leave Afghanistan and Iran, and bring the troops home.

So what if the economy collapses at this point?

The international corporations have a private functioning military, and nobody else does?

Is this a good idea?

Are we sure we've punished Iraq enough for not having anything to do with 9/11?

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead

What if this is establishment

What if this is establishment way of destroying RP's primary distinction? Hate to think it but not surprised. No doubt a desperate move.

Trust in God, but tie your camel tight.

"Socialism needs two legs on which to stand; a right and a left. While appearing to be in complete opposition to one another, they both march in the same direction." - Paul Proctor

The troops who make military

The troops who make military grade pay may be coming home, but tens of thousands of Blackwater mercenaries and contractors at $1000 per day will remain there, along with their $25 per gallon of water costs and $50 per laundry load costs which are passed on to us. Which group is more cost efficient to the taxpayers? What of the gigantic embassy that cost over $1 billion to build? Is it going to be empty and was it built for naught? Of course not. There will probably be a situation with Iran and they will say "oh, we were just about to vacate Iraq but now we must stay in the region to deal with Iran. Sorry, we couldn't help it."

Secondly, I specifically remember a headline on the Philadelphia Inquirer from about 2 years ago which declared something along the lines of OBAMA TO BRING ALL TROOPS HOME. Maybe someone can find the headline, it would be great to show that it was promised before and never happened. The Obama worshippers are like battered wives who convince themselves all will change soon, he's really a nice guy, he's trying his best.

I never let my schooling interfere with my education - Mark Twain

I think it is just a PR stunt

. All the private contractors are not coming home.
. All the Military Bases (20+) are not being dismantled and evacuated (and the land returned back to the Iraqi people).
. The U.S. Embassy (which Ron Paul said was the size of Vatican City) is not going away.
. And some troops may still be needed since we know that the Oil Fields and facilities will required being guarded and protected on behalf of Exxon-Mobile, Halliburton, etc.

So American taxpayers will still be wasting away billions of dollars over there on those immovable fixtures (which represent our Military occupation).

I ain't buying it.

this is so cool

now we can invade another country with all these troops from iraq. no reason to bring them home first since they're accustomed to being deployed.

if ur a patriot then you'll support more war. otherwise, our economy will implode w/o all the demand and activity from military spending. after all, we only got out of the depression b/c of WWII.

sarcasm, please tell me is so......right?

I can believe our troops brin

I can believe our troops brin pulled out of Iraq but I have my doubts about them comming home.

Great for American families and...

This is great for American families, Iraqi's and Dr. Paul. Thousands more not casting an absentee ballot and thousands more here spreading the words of liberty. But we should get the story straight, Iraq is kicking the troops out not Obama bringing them home.

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

obama = troops home from 1

obama = troops home from 1 country

paul = troops home from 130 countries

You made me laugh! How true though!

Does that include

the contractors and the Vatican sized embassy ?

Let's be positive

I have friends and others I know have friends, husbands, brothers (so on and so forth) in Iraq. Sure there is a lot more to be done to end the nation building and the rest of the undeclared wars, but we should be happy that some of them are coming home. I'm not praising Obama by any means, but when I look past the political aspect of the situation and analyze it based solely on principle, I am overjoyed for the troops, the families and the friends that will be reunited. God Bless our troops!!

I agree 100% Josh.

I agree 100% Josh.

this is obama people!!!

you believe this?? really?

and if they do, they'll just redeploy to the next war.
why now?
why all of the sudden, BOOM!! coming home. coming home.

War is an instrument entirely inefficient toward redressing wrong; and multiplies, instead of indemnifying losses.

Due to its unpopularity with most Americans,

it may at least gives us a break from escalating wars; it remains to be seen, but I'm guessing the Dems are shrewd enough to start softening their hawkishness until after the election. their strategists must be calculating which Republican they'll be up against. If one of the NeoCons, the Dems can still get gullible Democrats to re-elect the team believing Republicans are still worse.

If the miracle we all work for happens and RP is nominated, he is the one candidate Democrats fear, and they need to lay some ground work ahead of that possibility.

BE RE-ELECTED. It is a ploy and nothing more. Other comments stated Bush had an agreement to get out at the end of 2011. Obama will tell it over and over again that he pulled the troops out. It will be up to us and Ron Paul in the debate to inform the Americans otherwise.

this was actually Bush's

this was actually Bush's timeline for full withdrawal from 2008

Ok, the troops are leaving.

Ok, the troops are leaving. What about the mercenaries? What about the new $1B "embassy" with 1,000+ personnel? We have two armies in Iraq... The media doesn't talk about the army for hire.

FEDEREAL RESERVE FAMILIES are desperate to keep Obummer in power

That's what this is all about, and NOTHING MORE..

Obama is a nice salesman. A man of change, of course he left us short changed, but hey he didn't say what type of change you would get. We just got left with trillions of dollars in debt and Wall St. Bailouts. An economic depression that was not solved by the man of change. Instead of helping the economy in need, he spends his time with nation healthcare, goes to war without approval, continues unconstitutional policies such as the Patriot Act, Rendition, and unlimited corporate contribution, and others. Shall I go on.

Anyways people, you should not believe we will end the war in Iraq. He spoke of government transparency, no more wasteful spending, no corporate welfare, no wars without congress approval, shall I go on? Have you seen any of this? All nice words. I don't know about you, but I don't take too much stock in what a liar has to say and neither should you.

I loved your comment about Obama a man of change, short change that is. C=Calculated
