I Need Dirt on John Mccain Fast to Prevent My Uncle From Turning to The Dark Side

0 votes

My uncle is a WW2 vet who likes what Ron Paul says, he just can't get over his admiration for John Mccains service and "Heroe" status. He just can't believe that John would do this country harm. I need links to articles about his CFR involvement and any other scandals available. Please! This guy is on the fence and the right information would put him in Paul's camp.

Thanks

How about the fact that in

How about the fact that in 2006 John MccCain said Americans wouldn't pick lettuce for even 50 bucks an hour, that we cannot do it, implying that american workers are lazy and raising wages for farm workers to attract legal american workers would not work, and that we needed illegal alien labor. After that dozens of people showed up at his office with job applications to pick lettuce to take him up on his offer, but of course he did not respond or talk to them.

You know that $7 POS trigger lock

That comes with your new gun? Thank McCain for that. He supported the legislation that requires it.

Oh, and he also supported the NICS law that creates a federal record of every gun purchase request since 1999. They were only supposed to keep the data for 6 months but they never deleted any of it. That way, when the North American Union "normalizes" gun laws (see Canada, UK, and Australia - can't have guns) they have your name and address.

McCain Feingold, Lincoln Savings

The guy is corrupt and cannot help himself from being bought off, ie Lincoln Savings and the Keating 5. To take away the temptation, he had passed what has been called the worse piece of legislation in US history. A law that says you cannot criticize an encumbent politician.

But the guy still cannot control himself. Rememember in the first debate when he said he would support amending the consitution to permit a foreigner to become president if Arnold Schwarzenegger would endorse him. As long as you pony up money or favors to him, he will do anything. That is not the kind of president we need right now and not ever.

Don't look for dirt, just use facts

Why are you looking for dirt? The facts speak for themselves. The nation is going bankrupt being in these wars. RP wants to end it McCain wants to keep it going. McCain is in favor of the failed immigration plan. Ron Paul gives no amnesty or benefits to law breakers. Ron Paul will take care of the veterans and they support him more than any other candidate.

Use facts, no dirt required. Dirt is for other campaigns.

McCain voted Yes, tho he is a veteran?

Well, I supported McCain in 2004...

Before he got completely crazy.

The way I see it is this.

1) He served his country in Vietnam
2) He suffered brutally in POW camps

On clear-eyed analysis, his sacrifice was for nothing.
All of those comrades of his who died in Vietnam died for nothing.

So now it's happening all over again. So someone like McCain, especially, should know of the extreme price our young soldiers pay in wars. Given this, I would expect him to be especially humble and reticent to involve the U.S. in unjust wars, wars for no reason, etc. etc.

So he's either stupid, or somehow warped by his experience and in extreme denial. Because if this war is pointless, Vietnam was also, and he suffered basically, for nothing.

Sorry, a bit harsh, but that's the way I see it. Spent a lot of time in VA hospitals seeing these kids with PTSD and other issues, many homeless, who lived, but whose lives were destroyed by Vietnam.

See slides 15-20 in this National Geographic Magazine article to see what our soldiers from this most recent, unnecessary war, have to come home to.

So I suspect there is a special place in hell reserved for John McCain.

I didn't go through all of

I didn't go through all of this thread in detail but Keating 5 jumps to mind first. Remember that his status as a war hero is greatly helped by the fact that his father and grandfather were admirals. If you want to attack that accurately and honestly, tell your uncle that McCain's dad was a major player in the cover up of the USS Liberty. He might need a reminder of what the Liberty was, in which case I think the first result on Google is a page put together by the men on the ship.

Here is a good article about the incident and the cover up, including a description of McCain's father's role in writing the false report.

I know there is a whole chapter on this incident in Bamford's "Body of Secrets". If he is a military man who likes to read that's a great book. The title of the chapter is "Blood".

That should help shake the whole "war hero" label.

McCain is a second order criminal

His involvement in the Savings and Loan Scandal with three other Senators..... He's as crooked as they come.

Here's a good McCain video to show him.

It is not about attacking McCain

You saw how ineffective McCain's attack was on Ron Paul in the debate.

You explain the following.

John McCain supports the wars. Our soldiers are dying and suffering. We need them here to protect us and our borders.

If McCain is elected many more of them will die and our money will be worth even less than now.

This is not about McCain being bad. This is about McCain's policies being the wrong policies at this time and RP'S policies being what we need now.

We are in a bad situation and Dr. Paul is addressing all aspects of the situation and John McCain is not. None of this makes McCain or his great American military family bad.

There is plenty of negative stuff you can say about McCain, It is just that negative stuff really doesn't turn people around. Positive stuff will get people to pay attention to Dr. Paul, tell them the truth and let God handle it from there.

I'd have to say...traitor

He was shot down October 26, 1967, and by November 9, 1967 he was giving interviews to foreign correspondents, providing information on his prior command, casualties and tactics, in direct violation of the Code of Conduct. (The U.S. military Code of Conduct is the definitive code specifying the responsibilities of American military personnel while in combat or captivity. Article V of the Code is very specific in ordering U.S. military personnel to avoid answering questions to the utmost of their ability and to make no oral or written statements disloyal to the United States and its allies, or harmful to their cause. Any willful violation of the Code is considered collaborating with the enemy.)

They gave him the nice clean PJ's to wear while his fellow prisoners suffered unspeakable torture.

Also

The speeches to the Veterans might be good. Also, my uncle is also a WWII vet and I think what might, might have gotten him is my saying that Ron Paul wants to strengthen our military and bring the men home. There is NOTHING on this earth he wanted more than to come home when he was MIA. Most vets relate to wanting to come home, BUT have a very elite, stronge, intelligent, well-equiped military that takes care of their vets better than we have. Most people don't want war. Also that Ron Paul has received more money from vets than any other candidate and at one time than all the other candidates put together. He probably does not do internet. But YouTube would be a good place for him to go.

Be sure and let him know Dr.

Be sure and let him know Dr. Paul is a veteran also who served 5 years. And what the other guy said about veterans for Ron Paul

Chalabi video

There is video that I saw long time ago on UTube:
He was courting "Chalabi" in his office in DC.
This is the guy that was paid $300,000/month by the US govt. to provide intel on Iraq etc. Only he had not been in Iraq since he was 15yrs old.
I dont see why none uses this on their campaign ads?
That just made me sick
That guy was just selling the country out using a lair that the CIA said could not be trusted.
How could anyone do this with a sound mind.
I think, McCriminal needs to be shown some sympathy and given some Post Tramatic Stress Treatment. His cure should not be at the expense of the country and other peoples lives. I bet he wouldnt agree for a diagonsis!

Sure..

John got involved in the BIG S&L SCANDAL OF THE LATE EIGHTIES..

he is FAMOUS for saying... he went to washington to change washington but WASHINGTON CHANGED HIM...

He was supporting the FAILED IMMIGRATION BILL THAT WAS GIVING AMNESTY TO THOSE HERE ILLEGALLY... Now he says he is NOT for that..

He has stated he is against torture.. YET HE HAS STARTED NO OVERSIGHT HEARINGS TO HOLD THE ADMIN RESPONSIBLE FOR DOING IT... EVEN WHEN THEY DENIED THEY WERE.... AND NOW WE KNOW THEY DID!!

HE STILL DOES NOTHING!!

He is saying whatever to get elected

Eh?

There are very compelling arguments for supporting Patriot Paul over Senator McCain, but anything to do with torture will not be among them.

You lost me....

Torture is good?? NO.. TORTURE IS BAD!!

JOHN MCCAIN TALKS TOUGH BUT TAKES ZERO ACTIONS... SO HIS TALK IS WORTHLESS..

If SOMEONE SUPPORTS TORTURE... I DOUBT THEY SUPPORT RON PAUL

Torture--habeas corpus

It's misleading (seriously so) to say that McCain opposes Bush's use of torture. McCain has supported nominal bans on torture, and speaks out against torture in public, but he has also supported legislation (most notoriously the Military Commissions Act) that allows Bush to continue using torture in practice. The MCA specifically says that foreign detainees designated as terrorist suspects cannot challenge the conditions of their confinement in a US court. That is to say, the MCA blocks courts from enforcing the legal prohibition on torture. It leaves detainees to the tender mercies of George Bush and Dick Cheney. Thanks to the MCA, if Bush and friends say that water boarding isn't "torture," courts are powerless to stop them.
You know and I know that Bush and friends are taking full advantage of the elimination of habeas corpus in order to continue using torture. That's one reason why they pushed so hard for the elimination of habeas corpus in the MCA and the earlier Detainee Treatment Act of 2005.
McCain not only voted for the MCA. He also voted against an amendment to the MCA that would have preserved habeas corpus. He voted against the recent bill to restore habeas corpus.
But worst of all, at the time the MCA was being debated, he pulled a "bait and switch" maneuver that caught the Democrats off guard. By leading initial opposition to the bill, then supporting it after wholly inadequate alterations had been made, he guaranteed its passage. (I'm not excusing the Democratic leadership, who should have combated the bill more loudly from the start, but the fact is that McCain genuinely bamboozled them when he unexpectedly and unjustifiably dropped his opposition to the bill.)
Why do I stress this so hard? This is not just a symbolic issue. We're talking about real people who have been tortured and are still being tortured -- their bodies broken, their spirits shattered -- thanks to the path that the MCA cleared for the administration. And this is not even to mention the indecipherable language of the MCA that leaves it unclear whether water-boarding, stress positions, sleep deprivation, long-time standing, hypothermia, etc., are "cruel and inhuman treatment."
Why do you give McCain a free pass? Yes, he's far better than most of the other Republican candidates, but that doesn't mean his position is anything close to acceptable. To me it seems like you're succumbing to a "good cop, bad cop" strategy designed to make McCain's foul behavior somehow appear fair.
And, finally, why do you slight Ron Paul? Paul not only adamantly and vocally opposes torture. He has always opposed the MCA and the elimination of habeas corpus. McCain does not deserve to be put in the same company as Ron Paul and the Democratic presidential candidates.

Refer him to Veterans for Ron Paul!

Coming from a military family, a veteran myself, I can tell you first hand Senator McCain has deep respect in military and veteran circles, myself included.

You may do better selling him on fellow veteran Patriot Paul than discrediting Hero John McCain. - I am living proof.

Ron could have easily applied for and received a student deferment, but in contrast to draft dodgers like Rudy G. or Mitt Romney, he honorably elected to serve.

Most of us Veterans agreed with McCain about torture being a defining issue for America.

The same could also be argued for War or Peace? Preemptive or Non-intervention foreign policy also seems equally as defining.

Your uncle doesn't need to dislike anybody because so many other factors are at stake that weigh heavily in favor of Dr. Paul.

Patriot Paul is humble and obviously honest, an intellectual giant amongst his status-quo peers. You may ask him if he agrees with this statement.

Also, Veterans love to support underdogs! Tell him about the clear media bias against Dr. Paul, a real Patriot who is trying to reinstate the constitution in America.

That could go a long way!

If it does not, the biggest policy issue of weakness for John McCain is immigration.

He is also seen as soft on the 2nd amendment.

Good luck,

Gregory
