This is welcome news for the Minnesota servicemen and women who have been separated from their families -- many on multiple tours of duty. Our soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen have served bravely and honorably in Iraq, and our country is forever grateful for their service and sacrifice,” said Rep. Paulsen. "We also need to remember our troops who continue to serve in harm's way around the world and keep them and their families in our prayers

and really- most of Obama's "accomplishments" have asterisks

next to them.
Killed UBL* (strong arguments can be made that he was already dead)
Killed Ghaddafi* (Us admits that drone strike had no idea who was even in the convoy)
etc etc.
Really the only thing he can take credit for was signing off on the killing of an American citizen w/out due process.

Henry kissenger. www.addictedtowar.com few if any Americans dare go back to 1898-1916 and see where the US oppucation in the Philippines led to the death of 1.4 million people. This started the building of the American Empire. The second greatest massacre by the US was in Indonesia between 1965-1966. the coup in Iran by the CIA in 1953.The bombing of North korea in which two million civilians were killed. The bombing by the USAF in Cambodia were another one million died. Two million in Iraq and Afghanistan. Right on Ron Paul!

A decent human being in the White House would have fired Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for laughing about the death of another human being as seen in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxNeW9UhhO0

All the more reason America needs Ron Paul and the principles he represents.

The executive Executioner in Chief! He and Hilary sure do...

love murder! The world is watching and I shudder!!

exactly

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxNeW9UhhO0

Since Hillary laughs about the death of another human being, especially about one in these circumstances (war) it shows how little regard they have for rights of any individuals.

Simple human decency means Hillary should have been fired right after making the extremely cruel, insensitive and provocative remarks as seen in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxNeW9UhhO0

they turn over presidents every 4 years.. they cant keep this up

its like juggling people's minds

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Military/Usurper

When did we declare war anyhow.....Obama is a murderer period....HELP us U.S. military protect "OUR" country hold your oaths arrest the Usurper in our White House NOW!!!
I am becoming more fearful of our own military anymore....

Blockbuster Salon Article...

Obama has tried everything in his power to keep troops there, but Iraq refuses to change the agreement with Bush.

This is Sick!

Not only is it sick that this president has no qualms about killing his way to higher approval ratings, its even sicker that the majority of Americans are Sociopaths who approve of it and cheer at this blood sport!

"The State is a gang of thieves writ large." - Murray Rothbard

We are indeed part of a blood

We are indeed part of a blood thirsty nation. People in this country seem to love the blood shed on the other side of the world. I pray for their souls if the blood letting starts in this country. The animals crying for others' blood will be cowering and begging for their lives. I am ashamed of many fellow Americans. Is it because of violent video games or the news that has numbed so many to death of others?
Maybe it is our history.... what we have done to the American Indians, Chinese, Irish, Japanese. Are we simply a violent culture that wants to do harm to others?

Formerly rprevolutionist

Many are better than that

Many of us are better than that. Certainly the support Ron Paul gets indicates that many Americans still value and represent human decency.

You are right that those who so thoughtlessly cheer about death don't give a good image of America to the rest of the world.

The Cause

I think our culture teaches it, its a learned behavior.

I like to call it Societal Sociopathy.

We worship violence and we are taught to embrace our most base instincts by our cultural influences from day one.

It has not always been like this, I'm not sure exactly when the current trend started, but it definitely grew exponentially after 2001.

Our government and Media like to whip us up into bloodthirsty frenzies fueled on ignorance and bigotry. They create a common enemy and then create a social environment where its okay to behave like this.

it's a long term plan alright

The average tax-paying "good American" has the blood of millions of innocents all over his or her hands, splashed on his feet, and smeared all over his face. I for one will not fund murder nor will I vote for murder.

"If a thousand men were not to pay their tax-bills this year, that would not be a violent and bloody measure, as it would be to pay them, and enable the State to commit violence and shed innocent blood. This is, in fact, the definition of a peaceable revolution, if any such is possible."

Zow!

I'm floored! That's the first time I've seen The Good Doctor go for the jugular like that!

Now watch them spin it all out of shape, or try.

Freedom is my Worship Word!

if you dont understand the economy

then just go to war.

Is everyone getting pulled out, or just the Troops?

Are the United States Government Private Mercenaries to be pulled out as well?

100,000 Private Contractors, Vie (Old Blackwater) Will Remain

in Iraq. The genocide or ethnic cleansing will continue and the oil will still be under control by our CIA.

The Department of State will be there

The Department of State will be there with 130 employees manning the Embassy...oh and at least 17,000 contractors. This is the largest project of this type the Department has ever overseen. So yah...we are still there. http://bit.ly/psduxM

What a bitch when Iran and Iraq makes friends....

Well done

I love it. Ron says the truth no matter what the issue. He makes perfect sense all the while.

Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms.
Ron Paul

Telling the enemy

Cain's quote. Telling the enemy what we are going to do.............Someone please once and for all tell me who the enemy is. Those Iraqis we have pummeled for years? Those ones? My govt is my enemy.

Colchester, New London County, Connecticut

The Iraqi Government is the Government the US put in power

How can Herman think the present Iraqi government is an enemy? Is he that clueless? While it is true that since Obama pulled the 'Combat Brigades' out of Iraq in August 2010, 106 replacement 'Advisory and Assistance Brigades' have been killed but it isn't the Iraqi government that killed them and the people who are still trying to kill Americans are not doing so that they may overthrough the present Iraqi government, they are doing so because America has been making Iraq its own special living hell for the last 20 years and those people would like America to stop effing with them.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead

Not the....

Perry wasn't even mentioned! Does MSNBC consider RP top three now, or was it just a good segue into advertising for Meet the Press? Hmm... Anyway. The cynical bastard that I am, I think the latter. Assassination is Immoral and Illegal Under US Law

http://www.maresco.us/opinion/assassination-is-immoral-and-i...

2011 SEPTEMBER 30

There is a longstanding ban on assassination as a matter of stated US foreign policy. Any argument that this was an act of self defense does not hold water and US citizens have protections under the US Constitution, specifically the 5th, 6th and 8th Amendments:

  • 5th – No person shall be … be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.
  • 6th – …the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury…
  • 8th – …nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Assassination is an unusual punishment... There was no trial and no jury. And the wartime exemption of the 5th cannot ignore the phrase “due process of law”. This was an extrajudicial killing. Plain and simple. ...

While treason can be a capitol offense, it is only applicable after due process. From the US Constitution:

No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Nationality Act of 1940 Sec 401, part h:

Committing any act of treason against, or attempting by force to overthrow, or bearing arms against, the United States, violating or conspiring to violate any of the provisions of section 2383 of title 18, United States Code, or willfully performing any act in violation of section 2385 of title 18, United States Code, or violating section 2384 of said title by engaging in a conspiracy to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, if and when he is convicted thereof by a court martial or by a court of competent jurisdiction.

Who is guilty? For whom doth the bell toll?

Well done. Great research and presentation.

The real treasonous and terrorists are running our domestic and foreign policy.

All your examples state that the accused is to be tried in open court and not in secret.
