Iowa Caucus website for Ron Paul

I've been thinking lately that we need to better organize for the Iowa Caucus. I for one as a Iowa RP supporter don't know how the process in works in Iowa. I've been reading and I think I'm starting to get an idea, but I was think we should start a website that explained the process and explains what we can all do to help Ron win. I think it would be great to give detail by county on were to go vote. I think a lot of young voters might be asking the same questions. Any thoughts? Has this been brought up before?

Bump....this needs to stay on the front page

We do need to prepare for this. Time is running out. I live in a very rural part of Iowa and I'll bet there are a lot of other supporters that do as well. I'm also unfamiliar with the caucus system, but am slowly learning. I think it would be great if fellow DP'ers could help us with a "delegate speech". Something we could print and put in our pocket in case there is no clear delegate for Ron Paul in our precincts. That way we would be prepared in case we need to stand up for him. Iowa allows for a 2 minute speech. I know that it will be hard to get Ron Paul's great message cut down to 2 minutes :), but I think it might be an asset to supporters that plan to attend.

Let's keep this thread going to educate, inform, and prepare RP supporters for the Iowa caucus! And let's see those great speeches! Thanks in advance for all of your help with this!

I hope this helps

Make sure everyone you know knows the Caucus is on Jan. 3, and that you can register at the Caucus as a Republican to vote for Ron Paul. Let them know that Ron Paul can win, and how to help him if they are so inclined.

That was my point! Doesn't

That was my point! Doesn't make any sense to me. The people vote and then argue about who should go on to RNC. What happened to plain ol voting? Still though how are people suppose to know where to go vote. How do people become delegates?

I kind of understand how they

I kind of understand how they work but have no idea where to go. Iowa GOP site doesn't give a clue.

Iowa -- really really messed up

You just show up.
1)At the precinct caucus each candidate has a person who can speak for him or her.
2)The speeches are given.
3)Next everyone throws in their votes.
4)Votes are tallied (each campaign can have someone watch)
5) Delegates are chosen to go to the county caucus by voting
6) on a different date, county caucus people choose who goes to the district caucus
7) on a different date still, district caucus chooses who goes to the state
8) on a different date again, state caucus chooses who will go to the RNC.

I cannot stress this enough Ron Paul could win 60% of the the precinct caucuses and get zero delegates

ok that is an exaggeration, but the point is you need to vote for delegates that you KNOW are Paul supporters. That may mean yourself. You need to continue in the process until you are certain you are sending on Ron Paul supporters to the next level.
