White House Warns 'There will be Trolls among you’ as it Launches Tumblr site

The White House is looking to engage the electorate through its Tumblr, which it unveiled over Twitter on Monday.

The White House was aware that not all submissions will be coming from supporters.

“There will be trolls among you: this we know,” the message continued. “We ask only that you remember that we’re people -- fairly nice ones -- and that your mother would want you to be polite.”

I can't believe how pervasive team-think is. I mean, seriously? 8 years of complaining about Bush and then when Obama does the exact same thing, they remain hopelessly blind to the atrocities committed by their own blue team.

Here are the messages I intended to send them:

On March 7, 2011 President Obama signed an executive order that created a formal system of indefinite detention for those held at Guantanamo Bay. This came two years after signing another order that was to have the opposite effect.

On 11/16/08 in a 60 minutes interview with Jim Learer, "I have said repeatedly that I intend to close Guantanamo and I will follow through on that. I have said repeatedly that America doesn't torture and I'm going to make sure that America doesn't torture."

There have been over twice as many drone attacks on Yemen since Obama has become president.

Nobody talks about Yemen or Syria, not to mention the invasion in central Africa, now.

A few months prior, Barack Obama outwardly opposed terrorist surveillance legislation, saying that he would filibuster any bill that includes immunity for American telecommunications companies On July 09, 2008 the U.S. Senate approved legislation providing the immunity Barack Obama supposedly opposed, and despite his promise, did not fillibuster.

When Obama became President, he renewed the surveillance bill and called it "a good compromise."

As a senator, Obama was critical of the Patriot Act that Bush signed this into law on October 26th 2001. Ten years later, after swooning us with hope and change, he extended the Patriot Act and requested it to be lengthened.

I have more I wanted to send them but you get the gist.

Woohoo Trolls

That's what we call people with opposing political views! :)

Here is an interesting

article about the Democrats' plan to use social media. It was originally posted by Misfit4Peace back in March.

Democrats Look to Twitter to Reverse Fortunes for 2012
By Jennifer Bendery

"Democrats are hoping they’ve found a secret weapon for winning back the House in 2012: Twitter.

House Democrats say that while they may be outnumbered, they stand to come out ahead by becoming more savvy to social media to stay more directly connected to the public.

“We know that we’re up against a team of about 43 think tanks on the other side. ... But when you engage them in a good debate, they’re shallow. They have no other place to go except to keep saying the same things over and over again,” Rep. Mike Honda told attendees of the Democratic National Committee’s winter meeting in February."

this is going to be so much fun.

Should read White House Warns "Some People May Want to Tell You the Truth".

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

gave em another morale booster

Sent this:

In an interview with the Boston Globe, December 20, 2007, candidate Obama stated that "the President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation."

Then, in March of 2011, President Obama went to war in Libya without a formal declaration from Congress.

just trolling...

that was fun

i just sent them a quote from obama saying that he'd have the troops out by 09 "and you can take that to the bank."

maybe we should just submit obama quotes. they obviously won't get posted but the moderators will get an ear full from us darned truth-telling trolls.

Yes, maybe if they hear the

Yes, maybe if they hear the lies from his own mouth over and over they will see the light. How can one support such a flip flopper..

I just listened to that one

Must be Socialist language for "People who tell the truth."

Pretty much

When you don't like what's being said, it's easier to dismiss them with name calling than it is to debunk their line of thinking. In the case of Dr.Paul supporters, it's a must because there's usually too much logic in what's being said to be wrong. :)
