Why the Ammunition?
I get to this video on a page that promotes voting for a principled statesman like Ron Paul through a link titled, "Ron Paul-Only People Under 30 Should Vote". I click on it, because I'm skeptical that he would say such a nonsensical thing, and it requires me to watch the entire video before finding out that he was making it offhand and with humor, which was no surprise, since I couldn't imagine Ron Paul seriously believing such a thing. The whole time I'm waiting though, I'm thinking how -could- he believe that, he's over 30, and so is the host of the show. Anyway, I just wanted to share my state of disappointment that even on this very website the video is captioned by "...his proposed new law to only allow people under 30 to vote."
Of course such an out of context mistake won't make me not vote for Ron Paul, as I'm not so foolish, but I know from experience that in today's America there are people who would take something like that and hold it against Dr. Paul(I know because my gut reaction was anger and disappointment, and I've never seen a more honest and reasonable statesman than Congressman Paul). Thanks.
He did not submit legislation, only suggested he would win
if that were the law.
this is being picked up on the media and we should be careful not to propagate this misunderstanding.
I'm sorry, but RP needs to address
the mature adults. I walked for miles in 2008 and knocked on doors and plan on doing whatever I can again. In our entire group no one was under 30 and mostly over 50. Now in forced retirement I want to hear about us older folks supporting RP also. Do not leave out the more than 50,000,000 retirees, I believe we are the largest consistant voting block.

I don't agree...
...with Ron on the housing issue. The "banks" already stole ~15,000 from each tax payer through the bailout programs. We shouldn't have selective principles where we hold out on those who are losing their houses but pump trillions into the economy to support the banks. We can't pretend we have a free market on main street but a central bank on wall street. If nothing else, each bank should have to subtract the amount of money they received in the form of tax payer bailouts (divided by total taxpayers) from the money owed to them by any individual tax payer. Aside from fiat money and fractional reserve banking, our banking system is dripping with corruption and collusion. I believe that if you don't operate as a free market entity you shouldn't be entitled to reap the benefits.
When buying my home (which I can still afford) the loan officer asserted that my wife and I could afford a home around 140,000 dollars. Absolute nonsense and I knew it. However, when you pay a bank for their services and they knowingly lie to you in an attempt to make more money I don't see how that isn't fraudulent. Before anyone turns this around on me, I have minimal student loans (grants) and ended up doing my own math and buying a house for much less.
This is where I run into honest debate with some independents / democrats when promoting Ron Paul. They believe that since our system hasn't been a true free market for years, simply opening up the free market would allow the corporations that have prospered through corporatism to fully take over the economy. I can see their point but personally think they underestimate the governments active role in keeping these corporations at the top. However, I think it would be a positive if Ron would address this concern at some point as it seems to be the most earnest opposition I run into regarding Ron Paul.
NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.
Try to explain to them...
Try to explain that corporations can't steal, without collusion from government. Only the government can steal. If you don't like a corporation, simply don't buy their crap! With government, you don't have that option; they just take your money.

thank you
.
Of course, he was kidding.
I always see a lot more middle aged and older people at the voting polls than young people. So I hope the young people do get registered and vote. I feel like too, that Dr. Paul needs to broaden his base more to the older people, and maybe he is this time.

Well, he did fine, as usual..now it is ON to Hannity!
Not his best
Rushed a little too much and didn't clearly articulate the student loan issue. He's got the answer, just needs to make the path to it a little smoother.
I'm really dissapointed
When this issue gets stirred up this much, and the campaign knows that. And he's going on an interview the next day. Why hasn't he/they prepared a good way to answer and explain and clear up this whole issue.
thanks! I missed the very
thanks! I missed the very first part but glad to hear some of it!
