The Dr. does really good at the end when he refers to Schultz as the psycho because of his rant.

What is it about Ed Shultz
What is it about Ed Shultz that does not know every state has a Dept. Of Ag.? Does he LIKE our meat labeled that it is a product of USA, Canada and Mexico? He LIKES that? He LIKES that that Dept. subsidizes food NOT to be grown? He likes stuff that I can't stand. He also has no respect for the Rule of Law, and can not see that things MUST change for our country to not be shattered. I wonder if he knows there were only like 6 votes between the ayes and the nays for even STARTING a Department of Education,,??
Arrrgh.
Presenting the case for cutting the 5 Cabinet level departments
Obviously SOME of the functions of each of these departments is necessary. The problem is, when you have government, when you multiply the number of departments, the natural tendency of each department is to preserve itself and to expand its turf. This is why, come October, at the end of each fiscal year, there is a mad dash to spend any unspent money. It's almost NEVER returned to the Treasury. People are afraid that if they don't spend all of the money allocated to their particular section in a given fiscal year, then Congress will figure out that they don't really need that much money and next year that Congress will give them less money.
You could create 50 Cabinet Level departments, and they would all "find something to do", despite numerous overlaps. This is just a natural tendency of government. This is what's happening with the TSA. Basically, there are few (or no) terrorists in the US or at least not any more than could be found by good local police work along with the FBI when needed. So the TSA has to find something to do to justify its existence.
With agriculture and education, of course there are some programs that are useful, but many if not most could be done by the states. The usefulness of most of what is being done has never been properly evaluated, and often is a hindrance rather than a help (endless regulation regarding food plant inspections, restrictions on small farmers selling locally, etc). The easiest way to seriously pare government is to just shut down entire Departments. It's only in doing this that the truly important things each Department was doing will come to the forefront. Paul should cite examples of what parts of each Department he might consider leaving in, which parts could be done by the states, and which parts are actually doing more harm than good.
A lot of what these Departments do was once useful, but now is obsolete. It's just like a lot of clutter that you keep in your basement. There is never any real reason to get rid of it, and you keep feeding the clutter, without really evaluating if you need this anymore. The best way to get rid of the clutter is to move to a different (SMALLER) apartment. The amount of clutter naturally expands to the size of the storage space. It's only when you have to move that you look at each item and figure out if you really need it. Closing 5 Departments is like moving into a smaller house. Sure, some of the stuff in those rooms will be kept, but most will get thrown out.
By taking an absolutist view (we don't need ANY of what thes 5 Departments are doing), and by being baited by his enemies, Paul is making himself a sitting duck for attacks. What about National Parks (Interior)?; there are some functions of the Department of Agriculture that are constitutional (food sold across state lines via regulation of interstate commerce), etc. etc.
I think the problem is, that Dr. Paul is very much alone up there, with no one senior and savvy enough to advise him, to bounce things off of, or strong enough to correct him when his presentation needs improvement. It's a staff issue partially, but it's also partially a problem of Paul himself, since the skill of surrounding onself with a crack top-notch staff is one of the requirements of a good President.
Its the orielly of msnbc
Here is the formula
step 1 ask question
step 2 shout over the answer
step 3 say im gonna let you respond step 4 shout louder over response
step 5 repeat steps 1 through 4
step 6 say thanks for coming on we gotta have you back soon
Then say i agree with him on alot of things but
freedumb is not free!
What is it about Ron Paul and ill-fitting suits?
This issue about Ron Paul and his ill-fitting suits has been brought up time and again, and he still doesn't get it.
The only conclusion I can come to is, that for some reason, Ron Paul likes to appear in ill-fitting suits.
This is way old and Ed is an

Absolutely Loved this!
Ron Paul stood strong and didn't back down to that big month slob. Ron Paul has fire in his belly and knows how toast them when needed. No studder from Ron this time! He is getting more and more comfortable with these aggressive media hacks.
Ron's just getting warmed up! Bring 'em on!
Thought I'd share...

WOW JUST WOW
That was the most painful thing I have watched. I mean Come on. After Watching that, I wanted to take a big dump and throw at Ed's face. I swear. I mean how can you interview someone, yell at them, fear monger, and then not let them talk or explain at ALL. That was a world record of journalistic stupidity.
Man oh Man I am just too mad right now

Ron was gentlemen
More than Ed deserves. A false premise: As if food safety via the Feds is optimal and of course, corporatism is not acknowledged.
Freedom, health and peace my fellow Paulites :^)

The guys an idiot, and I am
The guys an idiot, and I am getting a little tired of Ron Paul being called up to these shows, and all they want to do is chew him out-they're stupid and I'm sorry that Ron Paul has to waste his time on them.
why did he ask him to come on
why did he ask him to come on the show, when he tells Ron Paul you've had enough time, what a stupid jerk! My respect for Ron Paul just went higher,
Ag Dept.
I have a couple of Dept. of AG. cantaloupes for this idiot to eat.
If not us than who?
I cannot listen to the
I cannot listen to the loudmouth ignoramus, Ed Schultz, any more. How does he hold his job????? He is emotionally driven by his own perceptions of a political reality that does not include anyone else's opinion let alone a presidential candidate who does not offer views acceptable to the deaf, loud knee jerk interviewer like an Ed Schultz.
This guy Ed Shultz is nothing more than a pick-pocket.
Ron Paul is the guy warning people to keep their wallets closely guarded and it's interfering with this guy's racket. It's as simple as that.
Pockets still being picked. Ed Schultz unrepentant, since 2009.
Direct from an archive film canister, this was newsreel back in 2009. The upload date does not reflect this time frame this newsreel was shot.
Ron Paul warned. He is still warning. Wish Ed Schultz would start helping.

Ed Shultz Attacks poor education & food, 2009 (old film)
Still poor after all these years. When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn? ...
Under the rules of the Dept. of Education we have poor education. "Every Child Left Behind."
Under the rules of the Dept. of Agriculture we have poor food. "Every family farm left behind."
I wish Ed Schultz would use his vim & vigor to fix this fine mess his favored departments have gotten us into.
Leave each state to set rules found to be helpful & necessary to education & agriculture. Stop saddling our children with debt & "Left Behind" laws, whilst these huge government departments ride rough shod.
End the Fed. End the Doe. End the Doag. End the dole. "Left Behind" law be gone.

LOL
Paul completely owned his ass. I cannot wait for Paul to go on oreilly, it will come soon. Which other candidate can stomp down liberal blowhards like that. LOL. I'm still laughing.
Dr. Paul made a ton of good points here. For example...
When Schultz asked him about the Texas farmers in the droughts not getting help if the Dept of Agriculture was abolished he mentioned that the only farmers getting the real money are the huge corporate ones.
If we only knew the mischief these Departments do I'll bet we'd find the bad outweighs the good...by a lot.
Good job Dr. Paul.

Good Grief
His (Schultz) employer must be desperate. ;)
donvino
Ron Paul still has the fire in his belly!
Now thats the kind of heated exchange I've been waiting for! Just like in his interviews back in 88 and 2007! Ron Paul is pulling a Ropa Dopa on the media. He might be ready to come off the ropes and start swingin'!!
I hope he keeps this up! Totally owned Ed!
Dr Paul owned him
Great interview because it was indeed an attack (didn't let him get a word in) and I think more people are becoming sympathetic to Ron Paul's plight.
I loved it, watched it til the end. Ron was visibly laughing him off, too f*@#!ng funny in my opinion!! Dude is a gangster!
Our next President, Ron Paul!!
For Liberty!
The bigger the ass-holes-are
The bigger the ass-holes-are the better Ron Paul does illustrating just how-big-an-ass-hole they are. Ed Shultz is 100%-ass-hole. And he's a Homeland Security-bitch-too. The Terrorists! The Terrorists! Soooo Stupid.
