I Seriously Spend As Much Time on DP As I Played World of Warcraft A Few Years Ago

That's all.

Thats what makes this so cool...

This is like what every story, movie, game is all about....the classic battle of good vs evil, in real time...like you can't believe what you're seeing and you're amazed that everyone else doesn't seem to notice.

I seriously spend as much time phonebanking as I used to spend

on the DP back in 2007!
lol, no joke!

Thats just awesome

.

get a grip.....

this is NOT fantacy.....

More great sites:

I spend a lot of time here, too, but there's only so much time I can do that before I run out of new stuff to read/watch, etc, so I've been slowly expanding my economic/financial and liberty-themed sites list...

...Here's my favorites - I'm sure you already know most of these, but I'll list them anyway for those who don't:

There's probably a couple more I'm forgetting, but those are some of my favorite "edu-tainment" websites. Feel free to reply to this post with your favorites, too.

Peace!

I saw the Ron Paul march in WoW

last time around. There were a few hundred marching and /yelling Ron Paul slogans. It was before I ever played the game. I still see some Ron Paul spam in general chat when I play. Good stuff!

Geddon!

Now I challenge you to make a Ron Paul video like Leeroy Jenkins. Instead of shouting Leeroy, shout Ron Paul. and finish the vid with instead of 'at least I got chicken' with 'at least I ended the FED' lol

While I appreciate the "Challenges"

I must admit that I get slightly irritated when I say something like this (the initial post) and it is met with a number of zealous voices echoing "do this! do that!" - basically telling me to do something more productive than being on the DP. Don't get me wrong, accountability is a wonderful thing. But I just ask that you zealous ones calm down with the lists of things I -should- be doing instead of reading and conversing w/ others on this site. And it's not just me. I see you guys doing this everywhere. Again, accountability is good, but turn it down a couple of notches.

For one, I am currently working on 24 credit hours this semester while working 2.5 jobs (a commission only job, work-study, and the half-job being the RA of our street). Between doing papers and simply studying for exams, I enjoy the DP, as it is the most amazing reliever ever (especially since 39 other people aren't counting on me to complete a raid!) I can come here, read an article or two, make a couple of comments, and get back to work with no problem. It's amazing.

That being said, I don't have time for meet-up groups, and I live out-of-state, eliminating my abilities to become a delegate. I do, however, constantly use Twitter and FB to get the message out. I've converted more people than I would have ever imagined, simply using social networking. In fact... as I am sitting here, I tried to count how many I've converted, but I can proudly say that I've lost count.

I am sorry for venting, and for being wordy... and even for being slightly angry... I don't mean to attack anyone, it just bothers me that it seems to always be assumed that folks who make statements like I made in the post are not doing enough. Trust me, if I weren't doing everything I can, I wouldn't be wasting my time on the DP. I just think these assumptions are backwards.

My humble apologies as well.

Delegate Zealot. Guilty as charged. 24 credit hours. 2.5 jobs. How the heck do you have time to take a piss?

You must know a lot of people. Are signatures required in your (current) state for ballot access?

Relax...just messin with ya!

lol

This was a good laugh. Thanks Dave.

Fortunately, 12 of these credit hours are CLEP tests (3 tests that I am studying for right now: Bio, Humanities, and Math. I completed 24 credit hours last semester via CLEP tests and now I'm hooked, and I am going to save a ton of money by not spending it on being here another semester), and my commission only job (I sell coffee to missionaries' financial supporters) can be worked around my school schedule and homework. While it is a lot, they are things that I manage on my own time. If I had a set time for all of these, I'd shoot my face off. As it is, if I am worn out, I can take a power nap or take a piss (haha) whenever I feel it's necessary.

Overall, every day is a little overwhelming, but still, when I am in the mood to say, "screw it!" I do, and then I get back to it when I've rested a bit.

Zealot say, "DP > WoW. gg"

My bad, wasn't trying to be, "Do this, do that!", nor directed just at you. I understand how that can be frustrating, "Hey guys, I just did this...oh, I guess that isn't good enough for you...sigh."

I have myself said at meetings not to come with "You guys should do this or that" but to instead say to yourself, "I should do this or that." Or, even say, "I'd like to do this or that, anyone want to help?"

We did, however, have a recent conversation going on this site about whether we spend too much time talking to ourselves.

So, let me rephrase. I've been trying to put my DP energy/time into talking to people on http://politicalforums.com, often linking to DP to help educate, feel free to join me (and thanks for the humility lesson)!

And this is why I love this community...

Thanks so much for such an honest reply. I really, really appreciate it. This is an awesome reminder of my ever-growing love for this community.

Also, I will say this: It is far better to be zealous than it is to be apathetic. Keep up the good work. I will try as well. :-)

How true. We so quickly forget that each of us is an individual

living through a totally different set of life requirements of the moment. That IS the beauty of this place. We pitch in what we can, take away the wealth of knowledge & energy whenever time allows and just feel so comforted & encouraged that we are not isolated in wanting LIBERTY.

Many thanks, again, for the reminder.

That's great. And you're

That's great. And you're helping to change the world in a positive way in the process.

Here's an idea for you...

Maybe think of people who are not yet awake as being zombies. And your weapon against the "unawake" (zombies) is the message of liberty. Then, you gain in level as a "Messenger of Liberty" the more unawake zombies that you awaken. Instead of "WoW" / "World of Warcraft" we'll call it "WoL" = "World of Liberty."

are you leroy jenkins????

I'm here

more than I'm on Halo.

I Challenge You Then;

To spend that time now on meetup.com organizing supporters, getting together with them and spending the time needed to attend GOP meetings and become a delegate/leader.

Also, spend some time in non-partisan forums (like http://politicalforum.com), reaching out to those not already in agreement with Ron Paul (or people not sure if they'll vote, but may easily be persuaded to vote for Ron Paul).

DP should be where you go to figure out where to go next. If all we do is hang out on this forum we won't get the whole job done.

Glad you are off WoW though :) I made up IRL-RPG to help do the same thing: http://irl-rpg.com
