Rick Perry plans to skip some upcoming debates

Rick Perry, who earlier this week called his participation in recent presidential debates a "mistake," plans to limit his participation in upcoming forums heading into the heat of the primary season.

Good!! More airtime for Paul!! It will be great to see how the media justifies Rick Perry as a "top tier" candidate when he doesn't even go to the debates. They would tear Paul apart and say he dropped out if he ever did this.

What are Perry's campaign colors?

The jingoistic saying about the red, white, and blue is that "these colors don't run." I'm guessing Perry uses a lot of yellow in his signs and logo.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

more like

umm I have no more money to run my campaign properly so I'm gonna dump what's left into attack ads and sit on the sideline.

simply to cover up his

simply to cover up his terrible speaking skills

He's got something better to do?

Before he was made a fool of and before he made a fool of himself he sure seemed to think showing up at debates was more important than trying to stave off disaster from the fires raging in his state which, as Governor, really was what he should have been doing...now...not so much. This guy has no decision making skills.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. - Margaret Mead

I remember that I couldn't

I remember that I couldn't wait for him to open his mouth in the debates. Let the people see him for what he really is, since he was polling so "high". Now that people have witnessed that he doesn't really know what he is talking about AND he is a drama queen(who started the spat with Romney bout illegal workers)... yea. This is just a sign that he can't take the heat and would buckle as a president under pressure since he is not ideologically sound. All he has are opinions, which aren't jack.

because he is his own parody of himself

Alec baldwin did a good job portraying perry in SNL but the real thing is out of this world and priceless. perry is so incredibly bad at speaking and shakes it up.

Slick Rick is scared

to debate. He did the same thing during the governors race here in Texas. Debra Medina (a real Conservative) was beating the snot out of him in the debates and was gaining ground so the powers that be injected the King Rat Bill White in to the game to pull votes away from her and then Perry and Rat White refused to debate any longer. Slick Rick is nothing but a corporate shill of the worst kind....Bilderberg approved...

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

Then why did NOT the People of TX "beat the snot out of him"

in the election? Instead, the People elected him to be the Governor - a mini-Bush. Corrupt, hypocrite, a blood thirsty warmonger, neocon, who has already shown his true colors during the debate in Simi Valley CA (grabbing hands, finger pointing and the intimidating look at Ron Paul)...

Why did the people elect him *after* "the snot was beaten out of his face?" Is it because people are ignorant, or because people are uneducated, or because people who elect despots just like to elect despots?

While spreading the truth, we need devise a plan to make the change to last for a long term. Not just for this primary election. Nor for this presidential election... But for each and every local, state and national election there is from now on until the day we die and our children inherit this Great Nation from us.

Get involved. Learn how to. Grow to the stature of being a grown up, involved and well educated person who deserves attention and respect.

Let's not allow another puppet like "Perry" to be elected into office. Can we do this? I believe we can do this!

MONEY ! Until you get the power money out of our politics you will always have this problem especially when times are good and people have jobs. The only time the people stand a chance of getting a real President is in bad times like we are in now and even then the chances are slim. When people have jobs and food on the table they couldn't care less about everything else that's wrong and that's why we are where we are today. For the last 30 years people have been watching their portfolio's grow at an amazing rate (alarming to the smart ones). As long as people are making money like that they will turn a blind eye to everything else going on around them. Money will make the smartest people in the world stupid. While their portfolio's are growing and the green shoots keep coming they turn a blind eye to the fact that their country is being shipped overseas in the process to make that happen.Easy money "something for nothing" is whats wrecked it all! The bubble pops then they wake up to the fact that we have no manufacturing or Industry to bounce back with and the only way out is to enslave multiple generations behind them by printing endless amounts of money trying to keep a dead horse alive and they are just fine and dandy with that as long as it keeps them comfortable. Its all by design and easy money in the form of green shoots has finally wrecked this country. Money, Money , Money, cant live with it, cant live without it. No such thing as easy money! If its easy to obtain, something is very wrong. Most people know this but if they are the ones benefiting they don't care until it jumps up and bites them in the ass like it is now and even then they still want the easy out.Bush and Perry did not make Texas, Texas made them! BTW, If you think Texas is bad, look at what the rest of the states elect as "leaders"! What state are you from?

Neeee He knows !

He knows something we dont know already .... propably who gets the nomination :(

Yes Dr. Ron Paul our 45th President!

Perry has said he is afraid of Ron, you know sunlight to a vampire. Victory in freedom as we restore our Constitution :^)

It will probably be spun as

It will probably be spun as if he is too busy campaigning and pra ora taizing ;) and that he will participate in the debates on the road, etc etc. bla bla bla.

Whatever his reasons. It puts him on par with Gary Johnson.. but with more money and a media darling. It is not going to change much in my opinion. It will change yes, but not too much. They probably will start propping up some of the two left that have not been propped up yet. Santorum or Gingrich.

That's my take. It will be interesting to see how his polling number will evolve or devolve. One thing is for sure. The Ron Paul Campaign will need to pull hard these coming weeks. They are doing it already as far as I believe and can see. All they need is one polling number solidly above 15% and they can use that to ignite everyone! Let it be sooner than later.

Rick's Plan

Rick has the same plan laid out for presidency. If he performs poorly in meetings, summits, negotiations, ministerial and ambassadorial and executive functions, then he will just skip doing all those things.

rick perry is a drunk!

anyone who listens to him speak and is cognizant enough to see, knows this

years of alcohol abuse does this to you

the powers that be have their man...again!

now, to be fair, i don't mean to discredit the man...if he weren't a thief and a liar i would only say he had an alcohol problem but, since he seeks to enslave us, i'll pull no punches in describing his sad pathetic state of mind

I'd rather see him stay

since he attacks Obamney the most, and is polling so low he's not much threat. Their exchanges really hurt them both and now Mittens will be able to ride through much more smoothly. I mean who's going to ask him about illegals cutting his lawn now?

I'd rather the other 3 polling so low get out to give more time to others.

I emailed the Michigan GOP who is hosting the next debate (http://www.migop.org/index.php/contact/) to suggest Santorum, Bachmann, and Huntsman not be invited if Johnson has not been since they are polling with equally low numbers.

I love it!

Rick Perry is admitting he is too intellectually challenged to participate in a GOP debate, Just drop out already and go back to your crayon drawings and macaroni necklace making!

Need to cut back on participants

so Paul can get more face time. I imagine Hunstman, Santorum, and Bachman will be gone soon. With Perry out of debates, that leaves: Romney, Cain, Gingrich, and Paul.

It will be much more difficult to ignore him with only 4 candidates on stage.

I agree

Gary Johnson and others were excluded due to poor polling, I think a good case can be made to let Santorum and Huntsman (maybe Bachmann) sit out. After all, they'd want to be consistent right? If one could say "Ron would never win" etc. then they'd have to say that those 3 have a worse chance than him and sit them out. They prolly won't though.

"Perry drops out - Romney,

"Perry drops out - Romney, Paul, Cain, and Gingrich left standing as front-runners"

That should be the meme.

Only the acceptance of the truth can defeat systemic evil.

The duck and cover maneuver?

Joking aside,

What would be an awesome blow to the media, is if all the rest of the candidates jumped on the bandwagon and declined them.

It would force people to research the candidates on their own instead of setting an opinion off of these useless reality show style debates.

I'm honestly surprised that

I'm honestly surprised that he was smart enough to figure out he's too stupid to be in a debate.
